It's a great show. 3-4 layers of cel shade on everything & pretty reach , educated colors, so it's a treat to celfags.I really like amemiya's directing.
As much as I enjoyed the show I kind of wish more people would have serious discussion about it rather than ecchidumps and otakus spazing out over trigger anime. As much as I enjoy seeing both, and as much as my rikka&akane folder grew in the past few months, I also feel that there's some great points about the show to discus that are being overlooked.

It caught me off guard. It has the stuff you expect from Trigger like the frantic action and endearing side characters and good music/sound design and everything, and it's beautiful to look at, but in between the action scenes it's a tranquil show, and the main characters felt like believable, down to earth teens with their drama. And there's so many little details to appreciate. I assume even more so if you're familiar with the original show, but I mean just minor background events like the characters making sure Samurai Calibur gets through doors ok. When I finished it I went right back to the beginning and noticed things I missed the first time, so yeah, liked it a lot. Probably my favorite after KLK.

While it was not my AOTY, I thought it was pretty nice show, especially for Trigger. It was a decently layered story and it had some nice characters.
I hated VEG passionately and even I don't think that is true.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I know it had a poor following and anons killed the show with overhype before it even aired. And afterwards it only stayed relevant on this board because shitposters kept memeing it to be the fucking Titanic of anime. That thread you posted sure is pretty pathetic but I don't believe there was one that didn't even reach 20 IPs unless it was a complete shit thread or had a competing thread.

I literally don't know what you mean. Trigger finally produced an extremely decent 1 cour anime and you feel pity for Triggerfags? How so? Gridman was a high point for the studio.
I'm okay with that opinion even if I disagree. I think that the first half of FranXX had way more potential and was way more interesting than Kiznaiver ever was. And it's a very Okada show too, that is definitely an acquired taste for some.
