I really like Kurisu and this was quite touching final. On the other hand, I do not even remember names of main characters from Kimi no na wa. Steins;Gate wins by default.

Steins Gate, by far.
Your Name has completely failed to establish the romance between the main characters since all of the development is crammed into 5 minutes. I felt completely disconnected from everything that happened.

this. that movie is criminally overrated by redditors and normalfags

Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.

I feel like it was moreso the romance that was overrated and honestly forced.
I honestly liked the plot of time travel/preventing the tragedy. I guess they thought Taki wouldn't try hard enough if he didn't have feelings for her? lol

The most interesting part of the movie for me was when they were still swapping bodies. Once that stopped and the apocalypse stuff started I was bored. I don’t tyonk the movie sold the characters enough for me to believe their romance.

Isn't Steins Gate also that?

Steins;Gate's first series and movie did it better. S;G0 was really lacking though. Was funny having to sit on that weekly waiting on that suspense way back when.

I still cant get over how good this movie looked

S:G is good

God damn I hate reddit so much. I wish that cancerous site and all references to it would just die. Fuck them and fuck you

This

Indisputably, Steins;Gate.

Both romances were utter shit. Why did kurisu even like Okabe again?

This only holds up in a world without smart phones and internet. This is about hundred years too late.

Rah Xephon shit on both EASY

>let's just forget everything
>what is google
fuck off

why would anyone not like the absolute mad lad?

>Okabe is a selfless and caring guy
>father figure of the group
>if you had a problem, he would do anything to help you
>very handsome guy
This is why Kurisu liked him, every other guy would try to distance themselves from her out of jealousy.

Okabe went through a lot just for her, plus just as this user says , the guy is just awesome, how could you not like him, user?
Plus, he's smart and accepts her the way she is and doesn't envy her for being a genius. Perfect guy for Kurisu.

>That really wasn't an "I guess all my deep-seated psychological issues are solved because of this one moment" kind of smile, user.
>She moved on. He waited.

>Yeah, but he realized she had moved on and that he had to do the same.

>It still looked depressed to me, or perhaps defeated.
>Sad smiles are a thing.

Shinkai is a God, but he's a better God when he's scraping at your soul, not when he's healing it.

She had daddy issues.

Steins;Gate because the characters had an actual relationship at one point. The "romance" in Your Name was dumb as fuck. "I fell in love with you even though we've never met because I could tell you were a kind person based on how your friends reacted to me when I was in your body" is stupid and makes no sense.

>when a single film leaves you so melancholic that it still undermines your investment in reality nearly a decade later.
T-thanks Shinkai.
