All the shitposting, name calling, and flamebaiting on this and other boards all comes down to one unalterable fact: Boku no Hero Academia is popular with Western audiences. Articles, videos, Halloween costumes, Monopoly sets; it's like Pokemon during its heyday. Not HxH, not BC, not any of the other series that people trot out, but that 'capeshit' stuff, BnHA, is the hot thing right now. If the supporters of those other series were secure in themselves they'd shrug it off or even be happy for such a rousing success, as that will attract more people to the hobby. No, he really hasn't. He developed his quirk obviously like every other student but the amount of effort he puts in doesnt add up to the amount of sucess he enjoys. He put in far less effort than Shoto did as a kid yet he surpasses him in grades and skill. He manages to outdo Deku despite being groomed by All might. I get that people love Bakugo for that but at the same time it literally does not make any sense. There is no reason for him to be this talented but he is, all because Hori wrote him that way.

Actually, since he can propel himself with his blasts, it would have been a major inconvenience but not a complete counter. All he'd have to do, to keep hitting Ochoco, would be to fire one blast in the opposite direction even as he blasted her. That would have kept him in place. A mistake and he'd go flying out of bounds. But that wouldn't matter if he blew her out of bounds, first.

The difference between your fire resistance when you just unlocked your quirk compared to when you're near your prime is very different. Bakugo also doesnt have an ice immunity ( if anything he has a cold weakness) but Todoroki does know that Bakugo needs to sweat for his quirk to function optimally, which requires favorable temperatures and high energy use.
There is literally no reason to use fire against someone like that. Todoroki had no reason to use fire and he should have won just from ice alone. You dont establish a characters weakness only for the character to get over said weakness in a pinch.
This is why Bakugo sucks. Hori will stop at nothing to make sure Bakugo is always winning even if it absolutely makes no sense. He is by and large the biggest Mary sue in the series.

or B. Has some sort of detached consciousness that allows him to see the people he is teleporting

The Nomu-generation process definitely takes time, so if duplication is a part of the process at certain points, it undoubtedly also takes time.
Another possibility that fits is that certain quirks overlap in the genome, thereby making Nomuification a game of which quirks work best with each other, and maybe certain Nomus have a combination that is good enough to preclude Super-Regen.
Don't quote me on this, though, I'm not a magic-DNA scientist, or a kidnapper that turns innocent cute things into mindless drones.
