Oh my sudden ability to dispel curses
Finally we can get the Arthur manga we deserve
i hope this hacks arthur manga gets axed, I have a feeling he wanted to end NNT after the holy war arc and this is just a prologue for the Arthur manga
>i hope this hacks arthur manga gets axed
Not with how much money NNT made
Honestly outside a few good bits, this manga went to shit when they introduced powerlevels.
wait is sinner actually fucking dead ? also what about zeldris and his waifu
Magazine is fucked if this series is ending
shonen magazine has other big titles though
a scifi by nakaba would be way better
nothing else in the magazine is as big as NNT
daiya no ace
toubun
I'm convinced Nakaba is as sick of this manga as we are at this point desu.
While the ending is pretty lazy, I'm glad we didn't have to read through another 100+ chapters when we basically knew the outcome anyways.
look who came back
it will have the Arthur Manga tho.
never heard of those
Just wait until that Fire Force anime hits
t. battleshonenkiddie
what's fire force
Ok, there’s a silver lining. What about Elaine, is she grown up again?
> its actually ending like this.
I feel cheated with the way things are ending. Feels like there were no consequences to the curse and there are a few plot holes that we'll never get the chance to fill.
>cath
>arthur's fate
>supreme deity
>ban's sacred treasure
>gelda's fate
>who was the Horn of Cernunnos that spoke to ban a long time ago about meliodas's demon identity
>hawk
Did I miss anything else?
it looks like yes, there's a strip of her with wings behind Escanor
Many of this missing plot points will be used in the Arthur sequel probably
The demon forms of meliorate, zeldris, cussed and the other teacher that were teased
>cath
>arthur's fate
See >hawk
Didn't we basically get an explanation in the form of Wild?
I mean, can't they just go to the demon world and visit him?
>Didn't we basically get an explanation in the form of Wild?
I can't find the page but his previous incarnation was the parrot who said he had a dream that his past life was a dragon. This was around the time before Meliodas went to Danafor.
next big hit from the Soul Eater author
>who was the Horn of Cernunnos
didnt they explain all the relic angels already when they were explaining the ones that wanted host bodies?
>mangahelpers
People there are shiting all over the manga
W-where is everyone?
I dont think the ending is that bad.
>Ban never got his weapon back
>We never got a Merlin or Escanor gaiden
>We still don't know what Merlin, Gowther, or Ban's weapon powers are
>Arthur is still half dead
>Supreme Deity is MIA
>Cath ended up being nothing
>Mother of Chaos did nothing
Did I miss anything?
As Kongou Bancho would say, this ending just isn't PROPERLY DONE.
Don't see wings but she has long hair again.
for
literally who
Does anybody actually want an Arthur manga? It's going to be shotashit adventures all over again like NNT. The only good thing about NNT was Escanor, the rest was complete dogshit.
lame and gay, I miss his neckbeard version.
At least the Merlin, Arthur, and Cath stuff are all going to be addressed in the Arthur series. Gowther and Ban not getting weapon reveals was lame though.
> haha I just picked up the skill to dispel curses created by the two strongest beings in existence and I knew I could do it without trying because reasons also I need to turn into an absolutely ridiculous and hideous more grown up form of me to use it for some other reason
Remember me?
Who?
The demon king looks different here
Ofc he is.
He just wanted a prologue for arthur, but the manga had too much succes, he was pressured to continue until he couldn't handle it anymore
Didn't he say from the start that he planned 40 volumes though?
The hype died about 50 chapters ago. This series can no longer keep people invested.
Wasn’t he supposed to be DK level? What a waste of a character.
Last August:
>According to Suzuki, he thinks The Seven Deadly Sins will conclude after 40 volumes. The creator also said he’s known how the title would end since he began the manga, and Suzuki believes the finale will be worthy of its shonen status.
Current chapters are still for Volume 37.
>he thinks
and now user? she was wings there
guess she can turn them on and off
Technically, this is a win for Zeldris.
Anyone being stronger than peak Escanor was a mistake.
Welp now that the Seven Deadly Sins crashed and burned it’s time to read Black Clover
>Suicided on random.
>Died offscreen.
Pathetic.
>weaker than Ban
>weaker than Meliodas
>weaker than Maelstarossa
>weaker than demon teachers
>weaker than Sinner
>weaker than King
>weaker than DK
>gave Sun back to Mael
>weaker than everyone
The Lion's Sin of Pride, Escanor
Hey anyone here remember Nanashi?!
We litterally have no idea about that. The only things that THE ONE did was one shotting Meliodas and Zeldris. His limits are totally unknown and I call bullshit if that's really the end.
>believes the finale will be worthy of its shonen status
KEK'D
>Merlin doesn't love him
>cucked by the twink
>ignored, powerless. best moment this arc was struggling to beat Zeldris
I'm seething.
The ending itself isn't bad but the final fight wasn't particularly interesting. The biggest problem is all the stuff that wasn't explained.
>unrevealed sacred treasures and their abilities
>backstories for Mel, Merlin and Escanor
>the SD
>some characters like Cath, Nanashi, Gelda, Rosa, etc.
I suppose Merlin, Cath and Nanashi will at least show up in the sequel and maybe Escanor too in some capacity since he's likely going to stick by Merlin. Maybe the SD will show up there too.
Elizabeth is beautiful and perfect. All I want is for her to be happy forever.
I was in that thread, good times.
What was officially the turning point where this went to shit?
When Marciel disapeared from existence and Escanor gave his grace.
The point of no return was when Chandler and Ross made the fusion dance.
wait it ended, what happened to arthur?, I loved the idea of an actual human going against demons and angels
Oh lost at one point, I don't really remember anymore when
ssshhh, he's still sleeping. Zeldris joined him also.
Only with all the Commandments. Each of them separated were Arch-Angel level. Combined they were stronger than the Commandments barring the sons.
The 1st arc was pretty good.
Things got wonky once powerlevels were introduced and the powercreep made everyone not named Mel or Escanor more or less useless, but it was still fairly entertaining.
The quality suffered even more after Mel turned edgy and we got even more powercreep.
Things improved a little bit when Marciel appeared and the whole Estarossa reveal happened.
Then everything kind of fizzled out with massive endgame powercreep and a lackluster ending.
Nakaba needs to be careful with the sequel so he doesn't end up making the same exact mistakes again. No powerlevels and no absurdly powerful enemies before endgame if at all.
My theory is that the SD was trying to find a suitable host, hence why Escanor has Sunshine. He was close, but not good enough to contain her full power.
Arthur will be the one she tries to take over, DK style.
So dispelling the curse actually makes Meliodas fade away into purgatory bit by bit?
Seems like we’re not getting a full happy go lucky ending afterall.
It's way better than this shit series
Arthur was never a relevant character, I don't understand why people cared about other than the fact he was named King Arthur. If he was just a normal shota who hung out with Merlin, no one would care because he's irrelevant and boring.
Arthur is likely Escanors son, given they have the same hair color, eye color, and general look.
Holy shit
Nakaba has mentioned multiple times that he wants to make a story about Arthur, which is why people are interested in him. That's probably also why he never received a lot of focus or characterization, since that could have led to Nakaba blowing his load too early. He did tease some things like Excalibur's power, Arthur's secret magic and Cath having some plans for him but never actually revealed much about them. I think Arthur's story has a lot of potential.
>powerlevels dialed back, at least for a while
>no demon wank since they're all dead now
>holy knights, giants and fairies can be relevant again
>focus on adventuring and kingdom building instead of interracial world wars
>new waifus
Sounds great.
Get hyped, NNT has been replaced.
m.youtube.com
But did King and Diane fug
oh fuck off, when he pulled excalibur and started doing all that sword moves it was cool as fuck
The manga is a pretty fun read if you aren't expecting much. The adaptation looks rad as fuck. I really hope it does well.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>OC donut demon
When Arthur stabbed himself
There was a question about whether fairies and giants can produce offspring and Nakaba answered it by something along the lines of "you'll see" which suggests that it's going to happen. Arthur's in a coma and Merlin can stop his aging so we're probably going to see a fairly big timeskip. Maybe we'll see Ban&Elaine son(Lancelot) and Mel&Eli's son(Tristan) as well. I'm thinking Lancelot might be the old guy party member similar to Escanor, since his son Galahad is a pretty important figure as well. Of course it's possible that Nakaba might switch the characters' origins around a bit since he's not all that faithful to the source material.
Hunterjews are kidfuckers lol
So the price for the asspull is that Meliodas will disappear eventually.
>4 more chapters to complete vol 37
I guess with next week's break and then Golden Week in May, the series is just barely going to get wrapped up by June. I'm still not entirely convinced that Nakaba isn't planning to pull off some kind of a big twist related to the SD but I guess we'll see.
Supreme Deity will be for Arthur to face.
i loved it up until the commandments were introduced
then the power scaling got dumb
He got it in Purgatory like Ban. He had plenty of time to get it.
Zeldris cursed Merlin when she was spying on Camelot through Orlondi. If he knew enough about curses to cast a really strong one what makes you think Mel didn't even know the basics? He still needed Merlin to make them physical while Elizabeth removed the curse on Merlin without any help.
cooler when he was two people
Honestly even Akame ga Kill had a better ending and in that the mc turns into a dragon and gets a legal loli to ravage with his monster cock
>worthy of its shonen status
i mean he's not wrong
>That picture
I'm hard
>Current chapters are still for Volume 37.
3 volumes of Epilogues
>mfw this isn't actually the end of the series, the "epilogue" just happens before the final battle to show how everyone is doing because the battle itself goes horribly wrong and ends in a massive cliffhanger which leads straight to the Arthur sequel
>3 volumes of Epilogues
how do you know?
I Am From The Future And My Uncle Works At Nintendo
>Demon king - Jobber
>Furuturd - Jobber
>David&Sinbad - Jobbed each other
>Ywach - Job to a fucking kid
>Acnologia - One shotted jobber
Introduction of powerlevels killed any hope for creative fights and after that everything save for escanor and purgatory ban was drown out shit. I seriously don't get the logic of first saying that all the characters save for these two are irrelevant shits and yet spending tons of time on their struggles and fights. also i still don't get how are demons dindus when they constantly ate tons of human souls.
I wont be too mad if there really is gonna be an Arthur sequel. He can continue to expand the universe as well as lowering the power level overall.
>some kid discovered a new buzzword to play with
Yep. Power levels are always shit, even if he originally had it split into 3 categories. They ended up just being whoever had the biggest number wins.
That shows you know shit about Magazine.
Post the bath image
>What was officially the turning point where this went to shit?
The exact second Estarossa put the rag over his head.
Estarossa should have been the final boss, an angel/demon hybrid who wants revenge on everyone for how he was treated in order to end the Holy War. It was a great concept. Instead they destroy his personality, then they turn him back into Mael who is just fine with all the bullshit, then they ruin another good character Escanor to give Mael the Sun, and then end the series with a very underwhelming final boss. Everything just got rushed and fucked.
checked, and also this is probably true.
Why the fuck people assume Nakaba dropped plot pointsl like Zeldris, his waifu, Arthur etc. It's not like manga is ending next week. There can be 7 or more parts of epilogue
Kongou Bancho's final battle completely blows nanatsu's finale out of fucking water.
>Super strong group is introducted
>It's Ten Commandment
>2 of them assblasted early, the other jobbed, kill each other, or suicide
>Leader have fabulous design
>Leader turn out to be a fucking jobber
>It's alvarez all over again
Only 4 more chapters this volume
Only assuming it's ending with 37th tank
>punching some across the planet
i need to read Kongou Bancho agai, the character design was really great.
Nakaba did say that Arthur would or at least has the potential to surpass all the Sins in power, so the only possible final boss for him to fight would have to be the SD. Maybe it will tie into the Holy Grail in some way? It was an important element of the Arthurian legends and sounds like something that would be connected to the goddess clan.
>that half-assed reveal that Zeldris wanted to make an underworld where everyone could live in peace
Feel bad for Demons m'kay
I'm perfectly willing to believe that Merlin's weapon ability is her being able to use it like a low grade phylactery that she can also cast through, like she's shown. That all seems like it could be the weapon doing it more than her own talents, and it definitely is a benefit for her.
Gowther's I'm pretty afraid was always going to be just an amp/range extender for his own powers, as much as I hoped it wouldn't be. Not getting any confirmation for that, or anything about Ban's weapon ability is absolutely criminal though.
Having to wait so long after having Gideon teased by Diane, only for it to be used once and just be a no sell was also criminal. But Diane's treatment in general was pretty sad.
That was to set him up as the new DK since Mel's obviously going to avoid taking on the role. Zeldris isn't anywhere near DK level though and most of the big shots are dead so the clan's future depends on Zeldris' vampire/demon hybrid children.
>muh unified light and dark
Somehow it was still kinda neat. And I definitely like the idea that the final boss is the person who was forcibly sacrificed for the sole purpose of making a half-assed peace
Still don't know what almost half the commandments do, right?
>Diane never tried to use Gaia Form again after the flashback
>she did nothing to qualify as the queen of giants and hasn't even been to Megadozer in years
>spent most of the series as an amnesiac and then turned into a moeblob
Diane is garbage. The most prominent female characters in NnT were all pretty bland or underdeveloped. Some of Nakaba's newer female characters like Mera and Derri or even Marciel were a bit better, which gives me hope for the sequel.
Somebody need to rule the underworld, and mel isn't suitable for that. Nakaba need to settle this. also Tristan(mel kid) is crucial part for Arthur spin-off.
I love they initially tried as portray him as a bad guy when he killed those civilian demons in spite of the fact that:
>99.9% of demons that had been introduced before or after that seen had been either mindless beasts or genocidal assholes
>Pretty much every demon with any redeeming qualities end up defecting from the demon clan
I'm wondering how their children will look like.
>tfw still mad we're not getting best boy Mael in THE ONE state and combine with Sunshine Grace Sun dimension going ham on the DK possessed Meliodas showing Sunshine's true power due to being Sunshine's true owner
>tfw we got instead is this retarded Nakama ending bullshit with Ban's and Mel's wankfest
>tfw no redeeming moment for best boy Mael after him being Estarossa
Fuck you Nakaba.
What a trainwreck. Such a shame, I really liked the first 100 chapters
>aaaa shuuuu i really liked first arc what went wrong :((((
It was pure garbage since the beginning you cumloving whore, 0 hp yourself.
This,
Diane felt hype early in. Turning out to be barely concerned with Guilla in the long run was great, and she actually had a great showing as tiny Diane during the festival tourney, into straight up threatening to one shot heavy-link Helbram as a giant. And then it all went out the window, and she lost any edge her personality had.
Derri and Mon will forever be missed.
>King stabbing Ban
>Meliodas, Gowther, and Ban getting thrown into the city to fight the knights
>Gilthunder throwing his spear into that town before he became fodder
>the new knights turning into demons
>Hawk's death
>Dreyfus reveal
Shit fucking taste user, begone
What the fuck happened to Derieri in the end?
Boypussies are not allowed to post in here.
Dead, killed by Mael.
Dead, killed by DK.
Dead, killed by Mel.
>muscle girl
>naruto run
picked up
Got killed by based Estabrossa
The series didn´t take itself seriously, so it was funnier to read.
Well, the first time was when Galan showed up and his power level(lol power levels) was higher than literally everyone else in the manga combined. The second one, and the one that really killed it for me was this:
Where are the
>Th-th-there's going to be a twist! This is a ruse! It's not going to end so easily!
fags now?
Did anyone else drink a lot more while reading this? I like comfy bars
>all the commandments died
>>weaker than Ban
>>weaker than Meliodas
>>weaker than Maelstarossa
>>weaker than demon teachers
>>weaker than Sinner
>>weaker than King
>>weaker than DK
>>gave Sun back to Mael
>>weaker than everyone
>>Merlin doesn't love him
>>cucked by the twink
>>ignored, powerless. best moment this arc was struggling to beat Zeldris
>Arthur will be the one she tries to take over
You could say it's Cruel Son.
Good
I've been trying to get into the manga for the better part of a year because I'll read any shonen trash, but I keep stalling out on Fire Force. I don't know what it is, I dn't even think it's out and out bad, it just doesn't grab me. I hope the adaptation doesn't suck, though I have no idea how they're going to pace it.
M-maybe Mera is still alive.
So, Is ten commandment disappointment or not?
I bet Merlin accidentally crushed her when he was getting thrown around by the bad guys.
Nakaba didnt do a good work when a shit ending doesnt even bother me
Whatever feelings I had for this manga are long lost
He oneshoted the OG Demon
and he couldn't even let Mel and Eli live off the rest of their lives. they're both thousands of years old now, so might as well just give them a mortal lifespan and let them die from old age. but nope. one more asspull plot twist to make everything bitter sweet, as is always the case. good job Nakaba, you're another one of these below average writers who will be forgotten from history. bye-bye now.
What a dumb ass ability.
>has to die to even live
>splitting was basically the best thing since it let him live forever
Holy shit you're right. They don't get revived after all. What the fuck Nakaba.
Still better than Fairy Tail
>We never found out what Dolors or Gloxinia commandments even do
Kaguya and Zetsu: Sealed
Jiren: trolled by nakama power.
It allows them to job.
Ten Commandments have been a disappointment ever since Meliodas Stu resurrected and solo'd them
Did you expect otherwise?
Well i thought Derriere was going to make it, but then she got obliterated by Estarossa, then i thought Zeldoris for sure, but the DK cut him in two and we never saw him again.
>literally spends the epilogue cleaning the floor while everyone else has a grand time with their waifus, friends and husbandos
Fucking lmao. The "pinnacle of humanity" right here lads.
>pinnacle of humanity
I'm not seeing Arthur there, user.
She clearly died when Meliodas took her Commandment.
He had his title as the best human stolen by fucking BAN of all people
Mel didn't deserve to be wasted on this ending.
Nakaba caught lighting with his story and he just let it go.
What a fucking waste.What a fucking disaster.
>arthur
He's probably being molested by Merlin now. I guarantee one of the epilogue chapters will be about her bringing Arthur back so Hackaba can sequel bait.
Probably involves time travel of some kind, given they sent King and Diane back to the past.
Probably forces people to relive events until they cho the right option (originally used to stick demons in an endless loop until they fall inline with what the DK wants).
Reminder that Ban's ST is still missing and he never got to use it.
Reminder we never got to see what Ban's ST's abilities are
Reminder that Ban's ST when in use like the other ST's is able to bring out more of Ban's power to a stupidly degree even more so towards current Ban who was able to contend with the DK 50 percent in addition to Mel's body power when nobody else could.
Reminder he also didn't use his magic power to sntach more power from his allies like Mael Ludociel ,King, Merlin in the battlefield making him a human god
Reminder that if he still had his immortally it would make things unfair that already is
Nakaba made him too stupidly powerful that he needs to nerf him in these aspects to make things fair and even then without his immortally, his ST, and his magical Snatch ability he is still broken the only ones to able to beat him are Demon King/Supreme Deity tier at least which is ridiculousness. Could you you all imagine if he still has all these at his disposal? He would be unstoppable.
Meant Mael.
Fuck their names for being so similar
Wait, dropped this a while back. You telling me that that sun fag got Merlin stolen away from him by that androgynous fuck?
kek if true.
Mel was one of the worst characters in the story. The concept was unique for shounen as far as I'm aware. Instead of a standard shounen protagonist character that is new to the world and has to learn and grow stronger over the course of his journey, Mel was one of the strongest and most knowledgeable characters from the start. The problem with this inversion was that it made it hard to write him. He knew so much about everything and yet told almost nothing to his friends, even potentially critical information like Grayroad having a curse that could instantly kill someone like Diane if she stepped on a bug in Grayroad's presence. Of course him revealing the entire plot from the start would have interfered with the story, but the secrecy just made him seem like an ass who didn't actually care about his friends much.
He was already the strongest so he never learned anything new during the course of the story and instead just regained the powers that he already had in the past. He got his sacred treasure back, unlocked his sealed powers, turned closer to his original self after dying and then finally started using the magic power he already had 3000 years ago. His character didn't develop into something new, it regressed towards something old. Couple this with the author wanking him off left and right and his entire character being built around one of the blandest female leads in history and you've got a mess of a protagonist. He was only likable at the very beginning, when it seemed like he was just the chill captain of a band of infamous knights. As soon as his backstory started being revealed things went down the drain.
Wasn't it implying that the stronger they get the less their weapon matter?
the one Escanor hands were better weapons than Rittha
>You telling me that that sun fag got Merlin stolen away from him by that androgynous fuck?
No, it's meme stemming form the fact that he has a one sided love towards her while all she cares about is her student/adopted son. The author himself said their relationship was strictly teacher student, but it doesn't make the fact that Escanor gets fucking nothing while everyone got something any less hilarious.
>like the other ST's is able to bring out more of Ban's power to a stupidly degree
This isn't really true. Lostvayne being able to create clones for example isn't a hugely useful ability on its own because the clones are weak, it only works when Mel has to reflect multiple attacks. Rhitta is basically just an emergency battery that Escanor can use at night and is actually weaker than his bare hands at noon. The other Sins are more or less the same except for King, whose spear was actually the core of his power and made him massively more powerful.
The time travel flashback was a goddess spell.
I hope Escanor shows up in the Arthur sequel as Merlin's servant or something and gets a fight where he uses his real magic power now that he no longer has Sunshine.
love how Nakaba completely dropped that clones shit 2 chapters after it got introduced.
I don't remember, what chapter is this?
>The concept was unique for shounen as far as I'm aware. Instead of a standard shounen protagonist character that is new to the world and has to learn and grow stronger over the course of his journey, Mel was one of the strongest and most knowledgeable characters from the start.
That is no excuse, it's been done before and done way better.

>Still doesn't really have a love interest
At least it isn't Shinra.
Thanks. I miss the fanservice from Soul Eater.
You must not have read a lot of manga or fiction in general if you think NNT's concept is remotely unique.
>And it's written by woman
Ahahhaha... Women is better storyteller than man
The best selling authors are males, you idiot.
At least Mel's sacred treasure was revealed, unlike Ban's.
Not many but there are best selling female authors too, like Rumiko Takahashi and Naoko Takeuchi.
This, Sunshine being a grace was a mistake
>
>Muh... Wahmen
Tokyo Ghoul
Naruto
Bleach
BNHA
One Piece
NNT
All of the best manga is made by male and all of this is bestseller, what your excuse now... Bitch.
>EstaCHAD battle: 30 chapters. Kills Monspiet, Derrerie, Oslo, Sariel, and Tarmiel. Defeated by King's asspull.
Based
>The Virgin Demon King battle: 5 chapters. kill a pig. Gets raped by Meliodas and Ban
OH NO NO NO NO NO
why wasnt Mael the final battle
>Nakaba really isn't trolling us
That's what he wants you to think
So I just started watching last night for the first time and now I found out the manga is getting rushed fml. I heard ban doesnt get his treasure either. Is he like a jobber after the beginning of the series? He was my favorite
>Not many but there are best selling female authors too, like Rumiko Takahashi and Naoko Takeuchi.
Sure, but that doesn’t prevent males from being the best story tellers (as shown with Men being the best sellers in every medium: Manga, comics, books, movies, etc)
I get the feeling Elizabeth will ‘know’ just like Ban does at some point, and will probably opt to go with Mel back to the demon realm or whatever.
Besides, just because the curse is gone doesn’t mean they’d both just have human lifespans left.
I haven’t been keeping up much at all with this manga, but I was wondering if Elaine is still alive at all? Haven’t seen her or had Ban mention her in this epilogue, did she died?
You are a fucking idiot
Dungeon Meshi, one of the best ongoing mangas, if not the best, easily the top 5 of the last 20 years is written by a female
He is a jobber for a while, but ends the manga as the most powerful character.
My girl is dead. She didn't even get a chance. ;_;
>Dungeon Meshi
>Bland dungeon story that going nowhere
>Pale in comparison BNHA quality
>Shit
Mael joins the ranks of other shonen villains that should’ve been the final villain of their series, like Madara, Aizen and such.
>could've just had Mael as the final boss with all 10 Commandments and him realizing he's a retard
>get nothing but everyone jobbing and a rushed ending
When the author forgot Mael even existed after giving him 20 chapters of development.
Estarossa should've been the hero who defeated demon king Mel. It would've been pure unfiltered kino
>Mel was one of the worst characters in the story.
I agree but not for the reasons you stated.
Also I was talking about Mael.
Mael had the best story out of any character. Nakaba threw that down the drain.
To be fair, every character had an amazing backstory excluding Mel and Liz. Their's had to be the most cookie cutter shit ever. Even Escanor's short backstory was way better than whatever the fuck that trainwreck of endless life and endless reincarnation bullshit Nakaba pulled out of his ass.
not even a kiss or a tits-in-face moment, Nakaba?
>Last week's chapter was a prank
>Zeldris is actually dead
Ban sacrificed his immortality to bring her back to life.
Well now he doesn't have to be told that his vampire wife is fucking dead.
I see, thanks, though I guess that's kind of shitty, since Elaine will now undoubtedly outlive him.
BURNING RANGERS GO
Not explicitly but probably will at some point, not even if they can't have children (which I doubt) Diane can get shrunk down by medicine/Merlin magic anyway, so it's not an issue.
its (You)
The post literally says "unique for a shounen" which of course refers to battle shounen instead of something like Nisekoi where strength doesn't matter. Most shounen follow the standard formula of a young hero setting out on his journey from a position of relative weakness and lack of information. How many shounen protagonists can you name that knew who the final boss was going to be and what the battle would be fought over even before they after set out on their journey?
Hmm
All bad things that Zeldris did were for the Demon Clan, he is a good boy and a perfect candidate for the next Demon King.
Fraudrin's and Monspiet's send-offs were kind of cool, but those two and Derrierie could have been redeemed much better than what we got, I feel like the author even placed all necessary parts for a proper redemption.
Galand is all-round fun.
Mera is fun, the most competent jobber in the manga who can score a major win while getting wrecked for her hubris, and a simple cute girl who believes that the DK is one true god.
DK is kind of a dick, but he still could have been given a better fight, though it makes sense why he lost.
Gloxinia and Dolor are dirty double traitors, still kind of cool.
Papa Gowther is amazing.
Estarossa/Mael is great.
The teachers were surprisingly cool and likeable, the Original Sinner sucks so far.
Peronia-chan did nothing wrong.
Grayroad is confirmed alive, for starters and Derrierie is confirmed to have the ability to return. Zeldris is obviously alive too, I want him and Mera glue Galand back together.
What a fucking terrible ending. Even Bleach's one was much better. And NnT wasn't under impending cancellation. Everything about the final arc reeks of sloppy planning. With this amount of chapters, adding anything past 10 commandments was a mistake, and Maelstarossa should have been the final boss.
Monspiet and Derrierie deserved better than being part of the 10 Jobbers.
Pretty much this.
Introduction of commandments with the reveal that all antagonists of the first arc were useless fodder and Sins basically just decided to let themselves be exiled for lolreasons, even though King and Ban in their states to date could have soloed the entire kingdom just by stopping pretending to be retarded, did a heavy blow. But the story recovered, if with difficulty, because of a few good characters. 10C mostly ended as pretty interesting villains, and Esta was clearly built up to be the final boss, with a huge amount of pages devoted to his development, an impressive amount of character kills, and even a fairly original backstory.
The manga started really going to shit again the moment demon teachers got introduced, but Estarossa getting turned into a faceless mid-boss was, in retrospect, the point of no return.
Even if the ending seems terrible, I'd wait for it to finish before we shit on it.
The fact that Merlin is missing, gives me some hope about the Arthur issue
The concept is nowhere near unique. There were characters in highly popular shonen series before who started as one of the strongest fucking guys in the world. Even the titular character from Nakaba's own Kongoh Bancho was one. And Mel's problem is patterned almost exactly after Kenshin, who was, like, one of the top six strongest characters in his manga from the start, but had to nerf himself constantly due to losing self-control when at 100% strength.
The problem with Mel is that Mel just sucks. He never develops as a character, personal crises he faces are shallow and inconsequential, his beliefs and values are not really challenged at any point, he never has to even consider the possibility of, say, choosing between Elizabeth and his friends.
>He never develops as a character, personal crises he faces are shallow and inconsequential, his beliefs and values are not really challenged at any point,
You could say that about lots of shonen main characters like Luffy,Asta,Deku etc
I agree with you, but he had to choose between Elizabeth and everyone when he tried to become the demon king. Granted that ended being a huge asspull that made the choice moot, but it was still there
I disagree, Mel is good. And he receives plenty of development. If by development you mean solely personality changes, then I guess you are right except for those times he got magically (literally magically) less/more emotional but even then he starts opening himself to his friends more by the end of the story. Oh, and he does somewhat reign in his rage at Elizabeth dying.
Then again, I am mostly fine with Elizabeth and even enjoyed some story moments with her here and there.
*rein
Based Kongou-bancho dabbed all over this shit.
Nakaba is nose-diving.
If you think about it, there's a higher percentage of female authors being good.

Yeah, I remember that he existed to make the goddess clan look more convincingly powerful. A true jobber through and through.
Season 3? Or maybe some kind of movie/OVA detailing the big backstory arc?
He wrecked Merlin in a small panel where threw up some flames on her. He is a real small-time hero.
The clothes and Gowther in the back make me think it's s3. Although it might just be a tv special covering the backstory
So I'm confused.
Are Sarmiel, Tarmiel, and Ludociel actually dead? I thought they where supposed to return to the angel realm after depleting their energy or some shit.
Kind of ambiguous to me so far.
so this shit gets season 3 and Magi doesn't? what the fuck is wrong with you A-1
and yes, I will forever be mad
DM is far better than boku no trash academy
Why the fuck would you want a season 3? The A-1 adaptations of Magi and NNT were both shit.
All of them are bad
Am I crazy or did King go back to his normal hair last chapter or something? And then this chapter he has the stupid hair?
they were but at least Magi had a better story
the ending was still shit but was better than this trainwreck

arthur feels like a character that should belong in another manga, like a cameo
Magi didn't sell nearly as well as NNT.
Magi shat the bed just as badly as NNT.
Everything else in the picture makes sense but what is up with the water? The only time we've seen something like that was when the SD showed up and she had waves at her feet.
Also is it just me or does the artstyle look a bit different compared to the previous seasons?
Magi's not going to get a final season because Ohtaka switched to a different magazine. The ending seemed a bit rushed too so it's possible that there was some kind of a conflict brewing before that.

It's a shame that they just dropped one of their best selling series like that. The ending aside, I would have liked to see the rest of the manga animated.
Nakaba has mentioned multiple times in the past that he wants to draw a story about Arthur. He was basically inserted into NnT just as a tease for the sequel. It's funny how many people think that he's actually dead even though Nakaba started teasing something about his connection to Cath immediately after he stabbed himself.
There is also this logo.
The problem is that NNT Artur is an awful character and i was glad he fucking lost his only serious fight.
let's be real all the human characters except Ban and Escalator got horribly shafted. Like Dragonball z style. "becoming a "friend" Is the worst power up in history. Didn't Naruto's war arc get like a year or so of literal who's fighting?

Female authors in general shit out tons of awful stories. For every good female mangaka i can name two good male writers.
No, the problem is that he got very little characterization. We know he ran into Merlin, pulled out the sword and became king and then participated in a couple of arcs as a minor character. As far as personality goes we know he's a good boy, a little cheeky and feels indebted to Merlin. He was never properly developed because he's only present in the story as a tease.
>Niggerstream
His new form is his new FAT MAN form, it's not his true shota form.
Arthur’s father has already been shown in a side story.
Escanor got cucked by a twink that looks somewhat similar to him.
Sad.
What happened to Vivian? I don't remember
She, Peronia, Nerobasta and other totally-not-dead female characters are having a degenerate magical orgy in the Limbo of the author-didn't-clarify.
>haha escanor got cucked XD
When will this reddit joke end? Author himself literally told his fans that Arthur and Merlin's relationship is strictly teacher and student yet dumb fucks like you keep trying to be funny with the same old cuck meme. I know I'm asking too much from a shonenfag, but grow up.
When retards stop giving them (You)s
Hence he's a fucking awful character that no one has any reason to be interested in, which is exactly the point that was being made. No reason to want to see that turd starring in a spinoff.
Peak Escanor/The One has only appeared twice and he one-shot both of the people he was fighting.
Just wait until the sequel actually happens and you start liking him after Nakaba starts developing him.
>>Ichihara considers fostering the talent of new manga artists the magazine's biggest priority.
Lol, how's that going for Sunday?
I will not read the sequel. This series has been far to disappointing to.

Why are the colors used for this series so goddamned terrible?
Nakaba
A1 did some changes of their own too, for example changing both Dreyfus and Galand from green/gray to red.
>I have a feeling he wanted to end NNT after the holy war arc
He mentioned in some interview during the first arc that he planned the series to go for about 40 volumes.
she was too pure for this world
oh.. the mighty original.... jobber!
I think he mentioned in the interview with the French magazine that he made some changes to the story later on. He initially wanted to include a third arc which was presumably going to be about the goddesses, but he decided against that because he wanted to focus on the story of Mel and Elizabeth, so he just continued the Commandment arc into the holy war arc. I could see the goddesses being more relevant in the Arthur sequel, since the stories have some religious themes to them. The fact that Arthur starts off at holy knight level means that even low tier goddesses like Nerobasta could be relevant in his story, at least for a while.
>worthy of its shonen status

MARCIEL OR DEATH
If it's not a 30-minutes-long hentai OVA about the DK and SD having hot steamy sex over their kids' corpses then I am not sure it will be any good.
That's actually pretty clever of them. I wonder if it's going to be 36 episodes like Fairy Tail's final season or if they're going to try to cram everything into another 25 episode season even though there's more material this time. 36 episodes would also allow them to adapt Gowther's gaiden and the Edinburgh story to explain Gelda.
If it is a new season I think they changed the staff since the visual looks different from the previous seasons. Either A-1 has a completely new staff or it's a joint production with another studio.
This. He should had been final boss.He is the product of the war so its fitting that sides have to stop their bullshit to stop him. Plus he had a Cell-like build up which was amazing.
FT final season is 52
Yeah something is off. That "season 3 picture" looks more like the animation of season 1 than season 2
They'll probably cram it but 3 cours would be good.
>the SD is on the poster
>even though she appears for like 5 pages in a flashback
Should have called it wrath of a god instead of the gods.
Seriously? I can't believe FT of all things got better treatment than the magazine's golden goose.
>If it is a new season
What else could it be if they're showing the holy war flashback outfits and the outlines of the two deities? The deities only show up after the flashback arc and after Elizabeth's curse triggers so it's not like they could just show that stuff and ignore the rest.
It could be some movies but it would be retarded to do that.
maybe that's because it a male-centric industry because more women end up as homemakers than men, so there are less working women in general? Ratios are hard, I know, but paying attention in school was for lame asses and nerds right?
Don't fuck up my burger the next time i'm at the drive-thru you worthless faggot
not really, the majority of it is animated worse than Black Clover
Anyone else looking forward to the Arthur sequel? Considering Nakaba wanted his story to take place in the same world as NnT I think it's likely that he wants to use some of the unexplored elements in the sequel.
>the SD and whatever her grand plan is
>the goddess clan and their potential connection to the holy grail
>the fairies got a decent amount of focus but the giants were left almost a complete mystery so maybe we'll see more of them too
>the demon realm and the different types of wild Indura that roam in it
>perhaps other locations like Escanor's home country or Nanashi's native land
>Mel and Elizabeth's demon/goddess kid(Tristan), Ban and Elaine's half-fairy kid(Lancelot), Lancelot's kid(Galahad) and Mael's kid(Gawain, who also has sun powers), Escanor's kid(also named Escanor)
>also King and Diane's fairy/giant kid, Zel and Gelda's demon/vampire kid, maybe the descendants of Margaret and Solaseed who likely inherited some archangel powers
>Cath
The only stuff that probably should have been explained in this series are Mel and Elizabeth's meeting, how Escanor obtained Sunshine and Ban's sacred treasure. Some stuff like the curses of the commandments should have been explained too but they can also be mentioned in a databook or something so it doesn't really matter. While Arthur himself isn't particularly interesting at least so far there are a lot of things Nakaba could do with the setting he's built. The only problem are the powerlevels which will probably force him to write Mel, Ban, King, Escanor, Zel and Mael out of the story somehow, at least temporarily.
no
>anime/manga industry
>male-centric
Oh shit, we have a legit landwhale in this thread?
After this disasterous ending, not really.
You make it sounds like that color change was in any way good.
>We never even got to find out how strong the One is
I was just pointing out that basically no one involved with the series has a good sense of colors. I guess one could argue that things like yellow Estarossa were just Nakaba playing around in the same manner as Araki but it doesn't change the fact that it looks bad.
I won’t say my interest is completely gone, but it is certainly lesser.
Did anyone else notice how poor the pacing in season 2 was? Like we had the OP, ED and like 3 minutes of recap, taking about 5 minutes out of every episode, leaving us with 19 minutes of new stuff. Meaning that there is about 3,5 episodes worth of time that they just shitted up with recaps. They could have fit more of the manga into that season, or slowed down the pacing. But instead we got like an hour of recaps.
>takes zero damage from assault Mel's special move and 1-shots him with a casual swipe
>ignores the attraction of Ominous Nebula, receives minor scratches when tearing through it with his bare hand and almost kills Zeldris with 1 finger
Considering that even the masters had to anchor themselves into a wall and that Ludo didn't manage to physically bypass ON we can conclude that The One is at least stronger than them, although to be fair Ludo was mostly magic based so he couldn't do much to Zeldris. The One has feats eclipsing 140k, 160-170k and 200k so we can probably safely put him in the 200k+ ballpark alongside Mel, Ban, Mael and King.
Arthur spinoff can use the unused ideas, answer the questions and have the sins as side characters. Only Arthur needs to somehow become so compelling, that the sins characters wont overshadow him every time they show up.
Is it really ending?Do we get NnT Shippuden before Athur: NnT Next Generations?
What are the chances we get an ending like Pirates of the Caribbean 3? Also, will Escanor get Sunshine back from Mael since it was only a loan or will he refuse to take it back because it's killing him?
>Arthur needs to somehow become so compelling
Well he is based on King Arthur of all things so that shouldn't be very difficult, but who knows how Nakaba's going to go about it.
If he plays his cards right, he may create the best and most famous version of King Arthur that has come out of japan.
Also, didn't Arthur have a roundtable full of knights? Are they introduced in the manga, or will they be a completely new cast?
Yeah felt like Nakaba just wanted to end it. It feels like he just wanted to rush everything and not slowly taking his time like he did at the beginning of the manga.
>>David&Sinbad - Jobbed each other
I loved the final arc
I'd prefer Ugo to be the final boss though

Are you kidding? At the highest point of the manga everyone wanted to fuck King.
Shut up Diane
I'll read it, but looking forward to it? No.

It's not. You know what to do.
I feel pretty strange about using the poorly explored/resolved elements of the current series as hype for the sequel.
I honestly don't think Nakaba will retread old ground that much, unless a bunch of kids are born and this is Boruto Shippuden or it's flopping in sales. I expect a new cast, plot based on new legends, even new races currently living outside of Britannia.
Same, what a ride.
this, so much this.
I think you're looking at it the wrong way. This isn't a case of Nakaba creating a sequel because he failed to properly explain some things. He has mentioned multiple times over the years that he intends to write a story about King Arthur, which raises the question of why didn't he simply do that from the start? Why create a story inspired by the Arthurian legends featuring places and characters including Arthur himself instead of just writing a story about Arthur right off the bat? I think it was because he wanted to lay down the groundwork for the setting before the series even started. He even knew how many volumes there were going to be years in advance so he knew what he was going for with this. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Sins were named after the parents of some of the most important members of the knights of the round table or that the goddess clan was left mostly unexplored when the Holy Grail sounds like it would be connected to them. You could think of the unexplored stuff as a kind of a cliffhanger at the end of the prologue to set up the main story.
Why do shounen authors always do this?
Why do they think they can ALWAYS get away with asspulling stuff like curing the TWO curses cast by the two supreme deities as long as they make the MC "disappear" or "die" in the finale.
It doesn't make up for the lazy writing one bit.
The MC is a pure-blooded genius son of one of these gods who is on good terms with a god-like being at least on their level.
Yeah but it is better to wait 3000 years before curing these curses because dude it is gonna be so cool lmao
>because he failed to properly explain some things.
You mean explain at all.
Goddess Queen didn't have a single line of dialogue. You can't make that up.
That was a straight up tease just like Arthur's real 40k magic power that he didn't manage to unlock and Cath going mental when Arthur seemingly died. They're meant to be explained later on.
I want to get this for my little sister she likes King
He isn't perfect, he couldn't control his power for a long time and was afraid to use it as it would screw him over.
What a dumb lazy fucking reason
>dude, it will explode everyone's heads
>I am still doing it! Fuck everyone and fuck their heads!
I dunno, also his clothes or body when he destroyed the curses resembled the Demon King's when he was possessing his body. Maybe he still has the power of the Commandments inside him. Is that also a dumb lazy fucking reason?
>Guila!
>and Dale!
Come the fuck on, Niggerstream.
That's actually WSM fucking that one up.
They put デール down instead of ジール. They're very simlar, especially when handwritten.
>Jericho will be training Guila's cute little brother the ways of the sword
Look at those fat lips, she is up to no bad.
Okay, then. But I can still blame the Stream for not memorizing the lore.
It is
Nope.
Let's talk about best case scenario. What if the third season fixes some of the problems the manga ending had?
since when the anime can change the history of the manga?
Extends the Demon King fight? Sure, why not. Merlin's problem is kind of integral with her character, at least Zeldris and Galand serve as her hard counters.
Season 1 when it changed gowthers introduction and cut out other various parts of the manga
I can't disagree. It was a dumb move, and any editor worth his salt should have weighed in.
I messed up the wording. I meant that they can fix the story in the adaptation. And the adaptation has been pretty liberal with what it changes, I think that they will make the ending a little bit more satisfying.
>It was a dumb move, and any editor worth his salt should have weighed in.
I am pretty sure it was the editor who requested the powerlevels in the first place. Powerlevels are one of the main talking points in shonen. Any genre savy editor would request them to be in the series. This isn't the first time I have seen a shonen that is fine without powerlevels, suddenly introduce them out of nowhere. So yeah, it is more likely that the author was forced to introduce them, so that the nerds who read it can have imaginary what-if battles, and the hype can be raised alongside bigger and bigger powerlevels.
Utterly depressing, but I don't think you're wrong.
Honestly, the ending itself wasn't that bad. The DK was weakened because he had to fight two different battles at once and was defeated by the two people who had decades of experience fighting him + Mel's special power. The actual issue are all the things that were mentioned or teased and never explored, but that's been a problem for much longer than just the final fight and might be fixed by the sequel. This first epilogue chapter was actually pretty comfy and there's still time to tie up some loose ends in the other chapters. I'm not entirely convinced that Nakaba is actually going to have Mel disappear or something since that would be a bit of a downer ending, but on the other hand I definitely don't want him around for the sequel since he's basically a demigod now. At the very least he should lose most of his powers.
You are so obsessed with powerlevels it's funny. The Demon King was never given any definite power levels and his last fight was way below the Zeldris + Masters VS Merlin-Esca-Ludo trio (useless Gil and cheerleader Hendy as backup) fight in quality.
ofc he's wrong Nakaba is a huge fan of Dragon Ball, the power levels were all him. Also hilarious how people keep acting like powerlevels are the reason the manga's quality drop off
>manga quality drop off
The manga has had worse parts through the whole serialization, and it's still great. Some "current status" haters who idolize the first part seem to conveniently forget all the problems with it and treat as infinitely better than the second and last parts and that drives me bonkers.
Dragon Ball only had power levels in one arc, and they were shown to be useless, as noted by both heroes and villains, because trained martial artists could control them and overcome them with techniques.
I think everyone who blames the power levle craze on Dragon Ball didn't read it very critically.
Elizabeth is so hot.
Also Escanor should have been the MC.
He is one of the main characters though.
and?
>The DK was weakened because he had to fight two different battles at once and was defeated by the two people who had decades of experience fighting him + Mel's special power.
The problem with the DK is that his downfall is entirely his fault, and it can't even be blamed on arrogance or sadism like a lot of villains, he lost because he was a stupid retard who made the wrong decision at just about every turn imaginable. Even Estarossa who was literally insane was more clever and cunning than the DK. For all his posturing the DK never showed how evil and brutal he was supposed to be, why did he let Ban live for so long? Even the Ten Commandments did not hesitate to kill their opponents, they didn't toy with them(except for Fraudin who was the stereotypical sadistic and arrogant villain), hell, the first time Galan met Ban the moment he heard he was one of the 7 deadly sins he split him in two and then smashed his skull. Estarossa ignored him but the moment he got on his nerves he literally vaporized him, even Merascilla quickly came with 2 different counter measures for Ban on two different occasions, first she tried to eat his soul and the second time she used acid to keep him melting forever.
Meanwhile the DK had decades if not centuries fighting Ban and despite the fact that Ban was steadily becoming strong enough to tangle with him, he did not even attempt to kill him, or seal him, or anything.
The problem with the DK isn't that he lost, or that he got overpowered, or that he didn't have a fancy epic battle with the heroes, the problem is that he was a stupid fucking idiot. And even then the final fight is just the cherry on top, like others have said the manga had been going downhill for a while and it just fell of a cliff the moment Estarossa put a rag on his head.
Eh, it wasn't so bad. If the author wasn't feeling it anymore it's was better to end it quickly than turning it into a shitshow like Bleach and Shokugeki. Still, takes some balls to shut down your best seller work like this.
maybe he wants to work on something else?
I’m sure I’ve read this same post in other threads about other series.
I think it might be creative and physical fatigue. You work on something for a long time and it gets so tiresome that just looking at it makes you sick and anxious, it happened to me when I finished college.
Eye of balor or whatever it is called was the moment when this manga jumper the shark and started to fucking drown.
Yeah powerlevel spam autist, we get it, how many times do you have to keep parroting the same thing over and over again?
What was Ban special mcguffin weapon or whatever it is called again able to even do?
We never saw it.
The DK is just a nice guy deep down. For all his evil acting, he seriously wants his sons to man up the only way he knows how (by giving up on love). And he didn't kill Ban and Meliodas's emotions in the Purgatory for the same reason why Wild could pester him forever, not because they were too strong but because he was too nice. The real final boss was the friends they made along the way, not the Demon King. He was their friend from the very beginning.
I think the whole power level argument is a bit muddled, for me the problem isn't that a number is given to depict how powerful someone is. The problem was when Galan showed up and his number was 10 times higher than everyone else's, and then we found out he was the weakest of the new villains. That instantly made most of the characters completely irrelevant, and in order for them to compete with the new villains they would have to get tens of times stronger than they ever were, and worst of all, this happened multiple times. First it was Galan, then the rest of the Commandments, then it was the masters who literally came out from nowhere for no reason, then it was Estarossa, then the Masters Fused, and finally the DK.
That was my point.
What a stupid comic.
But not because of the power eye alone even though it still severely damaged the flow of the battles. The next arc after that was progressively showing that Nakaba had a complete lack of planning past the Liones arc. The manga still had somewhat good setpieces but no interesting narrative, no mystery, nothing under it.
It was also the moment when Meliodas has started devolving to being an Elizabeth's pussy licker instead of an actual character which fucking murdered him.
Is Zeldris spending time with Gelda in Edinburgh or did he really kick the bucket? If he's dead then the entire clan is pretty much done for. The next strongest member is probably Grayroad who is nothing without her Commandment. I wouldn't be surprised if by the time Arthur wakes up a couple hundred years in the future the demon clan in its entirety has been reduced to mindless beasts like the red and gray demons. In a sense that might actually be a better fit for the setting.
Well, the DK sliced him in half and took his power, and we never saw him again, so i think he is dead.
The only terrible thing about the eye of Balor was that it was nothing like Balor's Evil Eye and that it was fucking nothing at all. For all the talk of Drole's (Balor's) all-seeing magical eye, it couldn't see shit. Escanor's true targets? No. Meliodas's true intentions? Nope. Ban using a previously unheard of skill to sneak up on Melascula? Nah-nah.
When commandments showed up. Author can't do powerlevels for shit.
1st arc at least had some adventuring going on.
Galand is stronger than Melascula if he has even a bit of magic to buff himself, she just wins by being smarter. Galand is stronger than Fraudrin if he has even a little of magic to buff himself, Frau don't have much chances in a fight with him. Galand is stronger than Grayroad. Grayroad sucks and the sole absolutely wasted Commandment. All others had at least something worthwhile to happen with them.
We don't know how high Fraudin's power is when he becomes big, but he isn't a commandment either. As for Melascula and Grayroad, they both only lose out when Galand uses his magic to buff himself, and even then he just barely surpasess Grayroad who has 39k power levels.
>taht pic
zeldris just wanted a mother that he could bang
He didn't do either. Zeldris's body was intact and even if he was cleanly bisected in two parts, he can still fix himself as a Demon, let alone the Demon King's son. And the Demon King's power is still with him, it just didn't work against its real owner's magic.
>1st arc at least had some adventuring going on
So did the second.
Mera does have that absolutely broken shadow coffin which none of the commandments can get out of, besides Zeldris, and that’s only because of the DK’s magic.
As a giant Fraudrin was having a tough time brawling with Meliodas's 30k strong clone. And I think Mela still has high chances to win against Galand since she is a clever girl and her Cocoon is overpowered. Even Merlin said she could have been a big problem for all the Sins if instead of turning into a snake she continued fighting with her magic.
At the same time her body is really weak so if she doesn’ pay attention she can easily get fucked up.
To be fair, I don't think that she or we know exactly what would happen if his Darkness starts sucking inside her Darkness. It's interesting how both of their personal magics, Zeldris's Ominous Nebula and Melascula's Cocoon of Darkness, are perfect for fighting against much stronger opponents (up to a certain level, hers lower than his, though maybe it's just due to him being 61k). He should marry her too.
Yeah, if anything, Galand is confirmed to be really good at dealing with magic casters.
With Mera being his partner, it’s not surprising that Garan has plenty of experience with casters.
>the series will end without us ever knowing was real Gowther's big scheme was.
Oh wow.
He had a big scheme?
nakaba's art is so comfy
His scheme was ending the Holy War by turning Mael into Estarossa.
To say FMA lacked all of the typical shounen fluff is pretty dumb. It was just written smartly.
>female holy knight not so tough after little brother gets /ss/d
I'm more upset by the fact that we never saw him fight anyone aside from trolling Mera a little bit. He can only move by slowly levitating so he would have had to rely on memory fuckery and maybe some kind of illusions instead. Also wheelchair Indura.
>the series will end without us ever knowing how the SD reacted to the reveal that real Gowther cost her the war and turned her champion into a traitor
I was expecting her to attempt to erase doll Gowther from existence or perhaps to resurrect the real Gowther to use his magic against the DK. Turns out she didn't do anything.
Virgin female Ludociel vs Chad FAT LIPS.
Why is this already ending? Feels like we were just in the middle of the arc
Nakaba got tired of the series
...
>series ends with no sex scene between Mel and Elizabeth
Into the fucking garbage.
>Mel and Elizabeth instead of Marciel, Derieri and Nerobasta
You can jump right into the bin as well.
This, desu.
>guila hugging her shota
based
>Meliodas getting jumped by all of the 10C
Fuck this manga used to be so hype god dammit Nakaba
Super cool.
I wonder if he feels any guilt about disappointing so many dedicated supporters
>I am pretty sure it was the editor who requested the powerlevels in the first place. Powerlevels are one of the main talking points in shonen.
Most shonen have an implied power scale but Dragonball is the only super popular one that straight up used actual numbers, which were dropped by the Cell arc for good reason. Fights quickly get boiled down to who has the larger number. Remember Gilthunder? That super strong human from the first arc? Yeah he's fucking fodder now and his role in his last fight was being an annoying mosquito because he's sub 10,000 and the last arc has people breaking 200,000. I wouldn't call myself a Gilthunderfag but shit like this is why you don't do powerlevels.
>his last fight was way below the Zeldris + Masters VS Merlin-Esca-Ludo trio (useless Gil and cheerleader Hendy as backup) fight in quality.
This, I have no idea what the fuck happened, it was like he suddenly gave up on the series right at what was supposed to be the climax
>he's sub 10,000
Might as well say sub 3000.
So the true winner of the manga is Guila's little brother who is going to get thoroughly /ss/'d by Jericho
Powerlevels are the stupidest thing that has come out of manga. Fight should be decided by the skill, strength, experience and current condition of the fighters. Not by some magical number that sums all of that up. If you use powerlevels and always stick to your rules, then the fights become boring and predictable. But if you use powerlevels and characters win despite having lower powerlevels, then it is pointless to even have the levels there to begin with. I can't think of a single case where powerlevels helped the story in any way. Series like Jojo, Baki, HxH and etc. can have interesting fights without constantly showing everyone's levels (I especially like how HxH points out how even though fighters are ranked in tier system, it doesn't mean much in an actual fight). Basically, fuck powerlevels and fuck all manga that use them.
What's more interesting is that Nakaba already had a shounen manga without any shitty power levels and some of its fights were won through trickery and tactics, like Gilthunder 1.0 winning against a vastly superior opponent literally by impaling himself and launching the broken blade directly through his own body.
Why he decided to go ass backwards in Nanatsu is a question.
Nanatsu no taizai is Nakaba's fanletter to things he loves most.
Contrary to popular belive, his powerlevels arent an emulation of dragon ball, but rather of jrpgs. The dude just loves his dragon quest and final fantasy.
In an rpg, especially in olds ones, if you grew up with them and have a nostalgic puppy love for those, it's completely natural to have a close, epic fight against a boss with story relevancy, and then later down the line fight random mooks who could beat that boss's ass.
Creative use of techniques and skill are core parts of the game, but you do have blatant power discrepancie, and times where you just need to increase your numbers/ie grind.
These sort of rpg inspired themings make sense to establish battlesystems, express relative strength of characters to each other, but they're horrendous storytelling tools, and dont help build a cohesive narrative.
I'm a diehard JRPG fan and even i understand how awful these things look in any manga.
Also low level challenges were fucking amazing in psx era and actually allowed most underused items and techniques to work.
old characters getting relegated to irrelevance happens all the time without powerlevels. They do suck, though, and generally just lead to fanboy whining while adding nothing to a story
what he forgot is that the best JRPGs punish you for grinding to level 99 by making the final boss harder. He should have paid tribute to that.
whats so bad about DEEN
Director: Susumu Nishizawa (new)
Series Composition: Rintaro Ikeda (new)
Character Design: Rie Nishino (new)
Music: Hiroyuki Sawano, Kohta Yamamoto (new), Takafumi Wada
>>DEEN
You mean the Same Deen that recently did the brillant character acting in Rakugo and the amazing comedic and lewd character acting in Konosuba? Yeah dude, this ain't mid 00's anymore. Modern Deen is at their A-game right now.
>You mean the Same Deen that recently did the brillant character acting in Rakugo and the amazing comedic and lewd character acting in Konosuba?
No the Deen that did Hell Girl: The Fourth Twilight, The Reflection, and Junji Ito Collection.
I'll withhold my judgement until I see a PV. DEEN isn't really a name that inspires confidence but neither is A-1.
Besides Escanor, Marciel and Mael managed to salvage the final arc.
So
>Third and final season
>Studio known
>release date known.
Too bad neckflix niggers are gonna hold on to it until may 2020. Sucks for dubfags and those who want official subs.
>No the Deen that did Hell Girl: The Fourth Twilight, The Reflection, and Junji Ito Collection.
Those are all bottom of the barrel productions. I'm sure Deen is gonna bring their A-game for a big show like sins.
>Modern Deen is at their A-game right now.
Not A-1?
IS This season 3 or just another filler season
>I'm sure Deen is gonna bring their A-game for a big show like sins.
Just like how they brought their A-game to the second season of Hoozuki right? Why do you think they're no animating the Konosuba movie? Any property that's given to DEEN after being shuffled around big named studios means they don't care about it. Anyways its not like A-1 was good either but its still funny that they couldn't be arsed to finish Taizai despite half-assing for two seasons.
Fire Force gets David
NNT gets DEEN
Hopefully this means WSM will stop giving series to A-1 apart from Mishima’s crap
Too busy with SAO, Granblue S2, and assisting Clover on FGO Babylonia and Nagai/Okada's new movie
Also is Taizai. Who gives a shit.
sakugabooru.com
Yes.
> Why do you think they're no animating the Konosuba movie?
Because the Konosuba production committee decided to switch to JC staff. And we all know production committee's have their heads up their assess (Ahem OPM). Studio's have very little control over what IP's they keep and what gets taken away from them. They obviously cared about Konosuba, but committee wanted another studio so that's that.
My point is that Deen has proven themselves in this decade. This ain't the UBW movie or higurashi QUALITY days anymore. Sure they can still miss, but they can also do shit well. So Sins at least has a chance.
>Knew he was full of shit so he had to pick from a different show
And that's average at best
>Because the Konosuba production committee decided to switch to JC staf
Yeah because DEEN was shit and they wanted a good looking movie.
>My point is that Deen has proven themselves in this decade
You listing two shows does not mean anything. In case you haven't noticed they've done more than Konosuba and Rakugo.
After how far A-1 had sunk by the end of season 2, I'm willing to give anyone else a chance.
>Nakaba ends the series even though it's still making very good money
>editors so butthurt they get Deen to make the anime
Who's laughing now?
You’re acting like the A-1 anime was any good
>Deen
What are the chances they're going to CG the DK?
About as high as with any other studio.
>Yeah because DEEN was shit and they wanted a good looking movie.
Fuck yourself. Konosuba has some of the best animation we have seen this decade.
Eh, as bad as A-1 was in some aspects they at least didn't use CG very much. The only things I remember sticking out were Hawk Mama and some instances of Chastiefol.
Well, I don't remember any CGI in konosuba. All monsters and whatever were hand drawn. Deen doesn't feel like a studio that does cgi.
This was a long time ago but let us not forget.
Yikes
This is probably what turned them away from cgi.
I don't think it's being rushed. I think he just didn't see Ban getting his treasure as being a big deal.
>King's asspull
go away speedreader
>Log Horizn goes from Satelight to DEEN
Complete shit
>Hoozuki goes from WIT to DEEN
Complete shit
>Nanatsu goes from A-1 to DEEN
What could go wrong?
>If he plays his cards right, he may create the best and most famous version of King Arthur that has come out of japan.
Sorry I have to break it to you, but no one is going to be more famous than Saber. Not even a fatefag but she's the Author of Japan now.
>female Ludociel
so ludociel
The ending is gonna be great, you niggers don't know good shit when the manga ends, you are gonna miss this series.
