Why does every single anime do this?

Why does every single anime do this?

I wish they did. Then we wouldn't have so much shitty isekai.

>it's not healthy
it's fine, my real life isn't much healthier anyway.

Because it's the no brainer's fiction moral, just like that stupid as ass "technology is evil" that is even more common for anime.

I don't think you understand what the phrase "no brainer" means. People who use words and phrases they don't understand should be rounded up and executed.

>I wish they did
Same, it's gotten to the point where Isekai stories don't even have the protagonist(s) return to earth at the end of the story. They get truck'd and stay around as OPMC's the rest of their lives. No need to have people learn some moral and apply it to their life in the real world, just collect that harem and steamroll any threat in front of them.

Go away Marche.

To be fair, having your whole town dragged into a fantasy world and having a bunch of demons empower a child to terrible results is reason enough to want to shut everything down.

Wasn't most the town also missing or turned into something that couldn't even speak? or something like that

It's vague in my memory but it was something like that. At the very least I remember some members being turned into zombies

Well it’s either that or “talent beats hard work”

I consider the latter even worse

Yea Forums is escapism.

It's a good thing they don't do this otherwise where's the fun? Where's the entertainment. I highly suggest for Yea Forums refugees to look for another medium.

entertainment is cancer of the soul and antithetical to art. Art anime exists. Stop pretending like being shit is the defining feature of anime by pointing out most of it is shit. Most of everything is shit. If I had to quit watching anime because most of it lacks any merit due to being otaku pandering escapism I would have to quit reading books, watching movies and TV, playing video games and listening to music because they all pander to the lowest common denominator too.

Because you need to live your life correctly. And the only correct way to live is to abide to whatever society dictates.

That's not the argument Marche used to bring them back though, he just kept saying escapism is bad. I agree escapism is usually not a solution but for the three kids, that is not reason to go back. They got the lives they wished for in fake Ivalice.

The townspeople were turned into fake Ivalice people and monsters with fake memories.

The bullies who picked on Marche and the gang in the snowball fight were turned into 3 zombies you fight. As a kid this was the point I really realised what a fuckup the fake Ivalice was, not any of the arguments Marche made.

Holy shit stop coming here then. Literally fuck right off nobody needs you.

I go wherever I want. Go fuck yourself kid.

Anything can be considered escapism

>If I had to quit watching anime because most of it lacks any merit due to being otaku pandering escapism I would have to quit
Like you should do that right now. You're literally torturing yourself either that or you like being a hipster attention whore. Again fuck right off back to writing reviews on MAL.

Do you think swearing at people like a petulant child and begging them to go away without having a single thought worth of any merit to back up your pathetic posturing is going to have any effect on anyone? I've been coming here for over a decade and I'm certainly not going to stop because some leatherhead whose mother's breastmilk still hasn't dried off his lips is throwing a tantrum.

You sure seem to be agitated for that to be true. Just face it this medium does not pander to your kind anymore there is very little reason for you to stay here really. I'm sure you are considering leaving so I'm just giving you a little push. Be more considerate.

also
>go back to MAL
MAL's top lists are the same otaku pandering trash that you obsess over. You're the Yea Forums equivalent of your average Yea Forumstant shitting on outsider music community tastes such as RYM while listebing to the exact same shit that dominates their charts. The irony of calling anyone an attention whore totally escapes you.

>MAL's top lists are the same otaku pandering trash
Nice coverup but that won't work the fact that you even mentioned it proves how close to home it hit.

>not the argument
I don't remember it being the argument he used either, but I think the game itself makes that argument that this was an incredibly unhealthy scenario and Marche was just going about it with the heavy-handed moralizing route.

One of the few life lessons otaku might actually be able to relate to

I mentioned a thing you started talking about. That's how conversation goes. You seem to be under the impression that engaging you in conversation is me being agitated. Has wanking it 10 times to drawings of autistic girls rotten your brain so much you've completely forgotten how bacis human discourse works?

I think the opposite is true. For a lot of people their real life really *is* shitty and ultimately cold and hopeless with no real prospects (face it, any salaryman that would actually WANT to return to their unhealthy as fuck lifestyle is a retard). The problem with isekai they don't actually explore exactly *how* the MC's new life is better than their old one, nor do the protagonists dwell on it either way despite it being quite well known that Japan is a really shitty place to be an adult and is far more unhealthy than any sort of escapism.

The game just chickens out and makes it so that the only way Marche can go back is to destroy fake Ivalice by defeating the evil Empress. Having an option for Marche to go back by himself would have been an amazing end to the game. Then Marche would really have to work on convincing his friends to go back to reality despite having the option to stay in fake Ivalice.
God I fucking hate Marche.

>Why does every single anime do this?
Bullshit. They don't do it enough.

Attached: ngnl.jpg (1600x1200, 502K)

Dunno, currently it feels like they are all going in the opposite direction with isekai being big and everything.

It's only escapism if you are forced to return to your old life after enjoying it. Isekai hardly even counts as escapism since the retarded japanese high schoolers or salaryman failures dragged into it neither asked for it nor can or need to go back. They just changed their previous lifestyle for a better lifestyle.

All forms of entertainment, however, are escapism by definition.

Name 3 CGDCT anime that do this.

Attached: 1554505172348.jpg (600x401, 30K)

>anime series is complete escapist wish fulfilment
>moral of the story is that escapism is bad
Can never take this shit seriously.

>anime series uses its story to explain why escapism is bad
>anime series is somehow complete escapist wish fulfilment

>just like that stupid as ass "technology is evil" that is even more common for anime

Attached: 1538949940498.jpg (503x500, 94K)

See the problem with that is that you need to be a salaryman to get that.
Which nobody who reads manga outside Japan is, nor would I even say 75% of the people who do IN Japan

god I fucking hate "chosen one" and talent shit
its literally the worst fucking tropes in anime.
Mob Psycho 100 handled it so well I feel ashamed seeing anything that still uses it

>he posted on his computer

>implying the internet hasn’t accelerated if not caused the decay and death of the local community.

>Not being based enough to use evil technology to stop eviler more advanceder technology
I bet you wouldn't set even bomb enemy oil tankers.

thank god for that desu

>Well it’s either that or “talent beats hard work”
More like the show tries to say that hardwork is the most important thing to success but gives the MC a bunch of exclusive magic abilities.

You're just watching shitty anime. Watch more real anime like Lucky Star, Kiniro Mosaic, Azumanga Daioh and such and you'll see none of this.

Attached: osaka_consider_the_following2.png (700x428, 194K)

>to abide to whatever society dictates.
And then throw yourself under a subway train once you can't handle the stress.

>every single
Name 10.
Hard mode: Not produced by Gainax.

But...but there's no more Lucky Star. You monster for reminding me.

You're better off re-watching good anime than watching bad anime for the first time.

Attached: mahou_konata.jpg (600x582, 103K)

Why the fuck would anyone on Yea Forums care about that shit or even want it back?

Sword Art Online for one.

You can ignore reality, but reality won't ignore you. You'll end up paying a price for your constant escapism one way or another. That price was worth it though in my opinion.

The ye olde "Hypocritical socialist uses capitalist iPhone" and "Hypocritical capitalist uses socialist roads" argument.
God I fucking love posting it.

It doesn't now, but it will, soon. Very soon.

Because they don't even deal with the topic, duh.

Because they don't rely on silly preaching to have value.

Marche wanted it both ways.

Montblanc had no Earth counterpart. Marche destroying Ivalice meant Montblanc would die. Taking it further, by the logic of Ivalice being escapism, Montblanc wasn't a real person anyways; just a figment of his imagination.

But no, he decided that there was some world the beings that were completely Ivalice would go to. ....where did that come from? There was nothing that indicated this. And if it were true, this would mean Ivalice wasn't fake.

>kinmoza having any value

Everyone except the four grimoire readers were OC for fake Ivalice. Following the game's logic, everything in fake Ivalice was wiped once the final boss was defeated.

I've watched like 3 CGDCT animes in total.

Get Backers manga actually do the opposite, any other instances where the dream world is chosen?

The bigger issue is that very few isekai apply the interests of IRL MC or any of his past wants or desires, or if he has something to still cling onto. Every fucking time the guy gets sent to a new world and NOTHING of his past life matters to him anymore. It all gets dropped. He doesn't think about his friends (because he's a friendless NEET), he doesn't think of his family, he doesn't have anything other than maybe homesickness.

Like imagine an isekai where the MC gets truck-kun'd at his own wedding and he's obsessed with getting back to his wife. Or a very motivated chemistry student gets isekai'd, and so he continues doing chemistry in the fantasy world and hopes that once he returns to the real world maybe he can use something he learned in the fantasy world to make a difference in reality.

It's brilliant television and you must be a drooling teenager if you can't see that.

Attached: karen_laugh2.gif (1366x768, 1.15M)

It's a shit frankenstein monster of ideas taken from the greats that came before it and thrown in a blender with no thought whatsoever. It's got none of the soul of Lucky Star, K-On or Hidamari Sketch. Just a cheap imitation.

I don't see any problems with it. The artstyle is pretty. The music and voicework are both endearing. It's cute and funny. The fact that it doesn't have a shtick like music or muh otaku references doesn't make it any less good.

Attached: youko_family.jpg (1920x1080, 867K)

>The artstyle is pretty. The music and voicework are both endearing. It's cute and funny.
None of these are what makes a great CGDCT show. It's the chemistry of characters that defines the greats. None of the interactions between the characters feel organic. It consists entirely of quirks mimmicked from older CGDCT shows without any of the actual character buildups and personalities that encompass those quirks and give them context - nothing but icing without the cake. Putting Kinmoza in the same league as Azumanga Daioh is just outright absurd.

>All forms of entertainment, however, are escapism by definition
Well that's just false. Entertainment spans far beyond media you know

All entertainment is bound to life.
Life is just escapism from death.
Ergo entertainment is escapism.

wooooah bro that is, like, so deep and stuff. Did you think that one up while getting high behind your dorm in between your math and psychology lectures?

No I just huff my farts all day.

go vegan

If anything, the industry needs more MCs like Marche.

how old is marche? 13, 14? and why a kid know what escapism is?

I'm still waiting for my Marche Isekai

12-15 I would guess. They look too old to be in elementary school but having a teacher supervise snowball fights suggests they're not in senior high school, so I'm assuming he's in junior high school.
As for why he knows about escapism, I bet something is lost in translation and he just says "running away" in the original script. That or he's an autist who reads a lot.

There's a pretty popular isekai with a manga where a bug/rodent exterminator gets reincarnated and just wants to kill bugs and shit but then it turns out he gets massive exp for killing a bunch of bugs over and over and becomes god on earth. Also there's that lawyer isekai where they transport some failure modern day lawyer to a medieval fantasy world and he has to revolutionize the law.

The Ivalance setting was ruined after the first game, there was literally no point in the Ivalance setting after that.

Except being the coolest FF world.

Tropes

Because times have changed and people want to self insert more than they want to have a more developed character in an isekai scenario. Used to be an isekai protagonist was a track runner into Tarot cards, or a history teacher thrust into a magical world, or even a group of kids sent to the digital world and one of them is a hacker.

Sure you had stuff like Rayearth where (from what I remember) all the girls were really just friends and that was the extent of their history. That friendship was a pivotal part of their dynamic. By comparison, more recent Isekai protagonists are overwhelmingly just flat characters who drop all of their past once they die (because death is overwhelmingly the method of conscription further reinforcing they have no more connections to their past life) and just go on to build a new life without connecting it to any deeper characterization.

I mean you do have character apply basic knowledge from earth to problems like crop rotations or basic chemistry. but I think one of the better examples of an isekai protag having a history and using it is either Drifters or The titty sucking isekai.

Thinking Azumanga Daioh is good in 2019 is outright absurd.

>animes
That word alone would have been enough to prove that you're a retarded newfag that needs to stop posting, user.
