It certainly is the most well and and most complex show so far but I still know next to nothing about whats going on and why I should care. Man, this is the worst season I have ever come across.

Some scenes were really bad, like the one when she gets the fairy, which should have been the most important one, I suppose

There are 30-40 shows every season.
It's just stupid to claim there's nothing to watch even if you don't have any expectations going into the season.
For example this season Senryuu Shoujo and the other 10 minute show positively suprised me.

I think we need to form a committee to sit down with the heads of every studio and reestablish what anime is. What the audience's expectation are. Because this isn't even anime anymore in my honest opinion. You create a poster with sharp looking military folks and some really cool looking monster things. All drawn in the 2D anime style, creating an expectation for the audience that they will be watching ANIME. Then when you make the show, you animate the human characters like anime characters but not the monsters, or the vehicles, not even ALL of the people are 2D. And when you look at the logistics of animating the designs you can figure if you know the 2ay things are that they went into this project knowing they'd never be able to animate the monsters or the vehicles or all the people with the times and resources they had.

But specifically the monsters, they are the major draw to this series, they are the eye-catch and they are drawn in the promos like they will be animated in the style everyone wants when they aren't and the creators never had any intention of trying. So you know what Fairy Gone is in my opinion? Not anime, but a fucking lie, people like to use the term dishonest animation, this is a DISHONEST PRODUCTION.

Only good one so far. CGDCT is literally saving anime once again. This and Senko-san were the only two shows I was honestly looking forward to this season. I like to watch stuff other than CGDCT but as per usually they are the only decent shows.

I'm hopeful for Carol & Tuesday and Sarazanmai but not as excited.

Although the contrarians will jump all over this kimetsu is aots without a doubt. Well directed and animated. Great production value and top notch VA.

Kimetsu and Fruits Basket both looked good to me, though I've picked up 11 shows so far this season (including shorts) so I'm having a good time desu. I'll probably drop a couple after 3 episodes, but there's also some more airing this week I'm picking up.
I won't say the season is amazing because a lot of those shows are just mediocre enough to watch, but I feel like there have been less enjoyable seasons before.

Kimetsu ep 1 was definitely 10x better than Fairy ep 1.

Every show has CG, get over it.

That's a pretty low bar though. Fairy has an interesting premise but the execution was absolute shit. I hope it gets better because originals are a lot of fun to follow, but the first episode was not a great sign.
