Thanks for the dump OP! New Year's eve in Neo Venezia sure looks like a lot of fun, but it was nice to get a big batch of sentimentalism from Akari. Especially given the whole fact that it's her first year of many, many to come on Aqua. I can't recall if she ever returns to Manhome at all, or if she meets up with her folks again. But then, I guess that might be something better left unknown.
I've not spent a New Year's in Venice, or Italy for that matter - so can't really add anything in the way of trivia here. The only celebration I've been in Venice for was the Festa della Salute. And boy was it busy then, so I can only imagine how busy New Year's must be in Neo Venezia!
And while I love the landscapes Amano presents us with in this chapter, especially the sunset towards the end... The semantics guy inside me notes that they should really be seeing the sun rise over the island of San Giorgio Maggiore - seeing as they're sat in front of the Palazzo Ducale looking onto the basin, the church and monastery should be slap bang in front of them. Still a spectacular view though. And at the end of the day, it's not like I'm reading this lovely series for a perfectly accurate rendition of Venice. Especially when that rendition is one that's been rebuilt on Mars!
That was the anaemic Venice trivia for the dump, and I wonder if Akira-sama feels a little left out because Aika decided to spend the countdown with Alicia, Akari and Gachapen. But I'd imagine the Crimson Rose would be accompanying the other Himeya employees like the diligent, hardworking Undine she is!
