They got depth and their own stories going on.

The studio has a big head start on it, so hopefully it can keep it up. The PV had stuff from ep 4 and beyond.

Over work. A lot of directors, producers and animators bounce between different projects at one time instead of working on one thing at a time. This is why KyoAni shows have the quality they do. They're not bouncing around. Though in not doing so, they're subjected to possibly not making as much revenue and get as many deals. But that's the price you pay for quality work. Most other anime studios are so worried about signing that next contract for an adaption.

Hoping it to be good, but it's disspointing that the show didn't go with the artstyle the manga author developed in the latter part of the series. It's really nice and clean very distinguished and less derpy than the early artstyle that the first show was based on.

It is surprisingly deep for such a silly concept. So I'd say it's definitely worth the watch if you are interested in shoujo. It's a good entry into it because it doesn't just deal with dumb misunderstandings and endless stammering about confessions. The drama comes from the oppressive nature of the Soma family and it has some super fucking hype moments. Its like 10 percent action at times (the manga) and is worth thr 22 volume read and now 24+ episodes.

Tohru (and to an extent, her mom) is probably one of the most inspiring female characters in all of anime/manga without her having some sort of magic superpowers to make her physically strong as a fighter, instead she's a mentally strong person and that strength is what drives the story and breaks through the Soma curse, the entire deal with the Soma family and specifically Akito is that she breaks people into submission through guilt trip aka textbook abusive relationship.
Tohru didnt break, that's how she won against her.

Not really? They've been working on it for a long time and have a healthy buffer. It helps to go into it knowing you're doing ~50 episodes so you can prepare and split cours properly.
