At any rate, it seems that going into the Freeza arc, Toriyama had no concrete ideas about how, or when, Dragon Ball would end. The Freeza arc is of course the center of the most prominent rumors about Toriyama’s thwarted plans for ending the series. The basic tale, as usually told by many fans, goes a little something like this:

Summary:

The time is of the essence though since the day of the tournament is getting closer and with every day the invading alien fleet is getting closer to the Earth.

The Z fighters are enjoying their well earned peace, having a ball at Bulma's house because that's all they do nowdays and Bulma has no rich friends so she has to hang around with martial artists. Suddenly, a portal in time opens. It's Trunks, but not the Trunks we knew. It's Yamcha's beautiful daughter Trunks. She's much weaker than regular Trunks, and was probably raped by 17. Anyway, she comes back because she needs help. A deity called "Beerus" has showed up in the future, alongside his homosexual keeper. They've judged the trash heap Earth doesn't deserve to exist because there are no Saiyans on it and it's also a dump because they haven't finished rebuilding it yet. Goku agrees to come help, but Vegeta refuses because he's angry that his Trunks has been displaced. After Beerus realizes there's a Saiyan alive, he calms down. Goku achieves this new form in the future and is told about the other universes. He takes Trunks' good advice and doesn't both the Beerus in his own universe, so Beerus isn't in the show. Also Vegeta never gets to train with Whis so he stays Super Saiyan 2 maximum forever.
Then there's a fantastic adventure of Goku traveling to another Universe, lets say a familiar one like U6 with Oolong and Bulma. It's great, like the original Dragon Ball. Eventually they run into Champa, who then and only then forces them to meet with Beerus so they can have that meme U6 vs U7 tournament. Here Vegeta gets utterly mogged by Cabba who can't even turn Super Saiyan, humiliating the prince. He also witnesses Goku's new form, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, or Super Saiyan Blue for short. Xeno then shows up and informs them that he likes what he saw and is going to host his own tournament. We skip the whole Zamasu arc, Trunks (M)'s future stays nice and happy for him. Some other shit happens, I don't know, then they meet up, have their tournament, they do as they do (except Vegeta gets knocked out early).

This is a fucking awful idea. If you really want a GT sequel, at least have it revolve around Goku Jr., who was actually established, rather than focusing on a new cast of characters 400 or 500 years later.

They're two different forms from two different universes. Kale's green hair in the anime is just a different form of Super Saiyan reached by Kale, while Broly's green hair in the movie is just a nod to the original Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan transformation after nuBroly fully powers up. They're not the same form just because they have the same hair in animation.
