Is it the weakest Satoshi Kon, or Millennium Actress is even worse?
Mason Myers
Patlabor 2 is not very good and should not be listed alongside all the others in that tier.
You also haven't watched other classics like Redline, Ninja Scroll, Galaxy Express 999, or Metropolis, just to name a few.
Animatrix was the best thing to come out of the Matrix series aside from the original film.
Your Name is a high quality anime film, don't hate on it just because its popular.
Caleb Perez
Fuck off.
Jeremiah Hall
Millennium Actress has to be in Actual Cinema tier, come on. In fact, most of Kon's work does
Cameron Ward
>most all
Oliver Taylor
Millennium Actress is easily better, even though I didn't like it that much either
Michael Diaz
Yeah, I guess I have an absurd attachment to Millennium Actress and feel pain when it's not listed by people making tier shit. Every single one of his films are incredible
Ethan Stewart
what even is the purpose of these threads
Sebastian Bennett
I hope to enjoy it too
Jason Martinez
Being cancer.

>>Patlabor 1+2
I watched the first Patlabor film last week, I thought the concept of the Labor being controlled by their OS was really good, but the pace of the film was quite slow, and too many scenes were lost with the detective duo investigating a mystery that is ultimately not interesting at all. The best thing for me was the character interaction, just like in Early Days. Also the animation is gorgeous and the soundtrack is fantastic.
The following are the best anime movies of all time, debate me. Akira Arcadia Of Our Youth Ghost In The Shell Golgo 13: The Professional Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade Lupin The IIIrd: The Blood Spray of Goemon Ishikawa Lupin The IIIrd: The Castle of Cagliostro Metropolis Nausicaa: Valley Of The Wind Ninja Scroll Our War Game Patlabor 2: The Movie Patlabor: The Movie Perfect Blue Princess Mononoke Redline Royal Space Force: The Wings of HonnĂȘamise Sword Of The Stranger Tekkon Kinkreet The Animatrix The End Of Evangelion The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Tokyo Godfathers Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Have you watched 2 yet? Because based on what you've said about 1 I don't think you'll like it.
Samuel Sullivan
>Lupin The IIIrd: The Blood Spray of Goemon Ishikawa Not even as good as Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone, and neither one deserves to be on a best movies list.
Gavin Clark
>Have you watched 2 yet? Because based on what you've said about 1 I don't think you'll like it. No, no yet.
Eli Russell
Full disclosure, Kawajiri is my favourite anime director of all time and I have a boner for Koike as a result which is why I put it there.
Zachary Ramirez
Genma Taisen. Deserves a rewatch for Rintaro craziness.
Five Star Stories for delicious Nobuteru Yuuki and Mamoru Nagano. It's fairly high quality even if it's only like the first book of the manga.
Crusher Joe and Space Adventure Cobra for being early examples of how anime production was getting more complex, followed up by:
Macross: Do You Remember Love? A movie where they piled on so many fucking cels that it will always be somewhat blurry.
Samuel Young
Patlabor 2 is great because the theme has never lost relevance, only gained it not only immediately after the Tokyo subway attack, but in following terrorist attacks and how "peaceful" countries continue to live.

>CAN'T TELL IF KINO OR MEME TIER

No Ninja Scroll or Wicked City mentioned in this thread.
