Can one of you who has a 200 IQ break down what makes code geass so successful instead of oversimplifying it? Like do we have someone who can go in depth to explain the things that made CG one of the most hyped about series. How come 99% of other anime fail to achieve the same hype?

it's a top tier trainwreck. shows try way too hard to be subtle, "deep" or "good" these days and they fall flat on their face.
It didn't fall on its face if it's regarded better than 99% of the series out there user. It has one of the most well received endings even
Learn to read. They is referring to other shows.
I will list two things I think that strongly influenced the popularity of the show.

I'm sure there are plenty of 200 IQ user's who can break down the character dynamics and story beats. But the OST really punctuated all the key moments in the show.
It didn't end up in some kind of uncanny valley of story telling.
Also, it had a direction the entire way. You get to see the story really build up and come to a conclusion.
Lelouch.
It was outrageous, and also relatable.
It has a formula for success.
Relatable MC + mysterious power + goal/motives + equally matched opposition = entertainment.
Throw in a few waifus and you've pretty much made a blockbuster. Death Note, Gundam Seed and Steins;Gate follow the same formula.

It was a show that was a mix between Death Note and Gundam made in 2006.
>Also, it had a direction the entire way.
Not really. They knew how the story would end, but the first 75% of R2 was pretty much rewritten due to the show getting a more family friendly timeslot. It is why there was a plot reset between seasons and why most of R2 doesn't hold up to R1.
Lelouch, his crazy plans, fanservice, Euphemia, and homolust.
It doesn't matter if the plot doesn't make sense as long as it's fun to watch.
shit actually happens: the show
there's your answer.
This nails it.
Even during filler arcs...Shit was actually happening. People get captured, alliances change, characters are developed.
Schneizel becoming the final antagonist would have come off as lazy if we didn't spend the first half of R2 watching him humiliate Zero.
It's the memes.
All of what you wrote sounds like bullshit tb.h
It's theatrical and anime camp combined in the best ways possible while appealing to almost everyone.
Success = mass appeal. Different people look for different stuff in an anime so the show had to offer a lot of different stuff. And it managed to do that: mecha, Death Note, fanservice, Lotgh, unique designs and good animation, drama, humor, absurdity, comfyness, edge, pretentiousness, hero's journey, you name it and it probably has it.
Aside from being an interesting political thriller and having fun asspulls, it was somewhat theatrical and over the top, like a play, which is rare to see in anime.
It's a Gundam without newtype autism that is mostly focused on a Char clone.
