Thanks OP. It's nice to have chapters like these that delve into the way Aqua 'works', through such fantastical means. Does help amp up the fantasy element, but not to the point where it turns people off.

One thing I like about this chapter in particular is on this page:
The design of the organ is literally lifted from the Porta della Carta of the Palazzo Ducale. And reproduced quite well! While I can't tell you much about the incredible gravity-producing methods that Al uses to help keep Aqua's gravity like Manhome's, I can tell you that the Porta della Carta (paper door) is sandwiched nice and tight between the rest of the Palazzo Ducale and the Basilica San Marco. It was built between 1439 and 1442, and these days it serves as the exit for visitors to the palace (you enter it through a less-fancy looking door on the side of the palace facing St Mark's basin). It's a fine example of Venetian Gothic architecture, so big props to Amano for including it here.

A bit late, but that was the Venetian trivia for the thread, completely unwarranted as always. And I sure do like Akira-sama a lot!

The name comes either from the habit of hanging papers with new laws and regulations or from the fact that near the door there were scribes that would write letters for the illitterate people

Thanks user. This was imo one of the most interesting chapters in the entire manga. wish the underground and the whole five elements theme was explored more in general.

I want to know more too, but ultimately leaving the mystery might be more interesting.

I can't recall if we ever see the underground city again after this. Probably time for another rewatch of the series.

I think there's a chapter later on where Aika, Alice and Akari go back to the underground to hear Al play the organ after he graduated (or before, I don't remember). We'll see when OP gets there.
When I first read the manga I thought we were gonna get like a short montage of Al and Akatsuki's "graduation", but it was just sort of mentioned that they passed their quals. Also I think it's weird how Woody and his occupation, who supposedly represent air, were not as well fleshed out as the other guys. It did leave me kind of disappointed.
