Rahxephon

Rahxephon is an underrated Masterpiece.

Prove me wrong

Pro tip : You can't.

I prove you right. Great soundtrack too

This alone makes it a masterpiece: Cake wins

my anons

Also izubuchi yutaka is very underrated as a director. Both Rahxephon and uchuu senkan yamato 2199 are great.

Can we all admit that Asahina’s death in episode 19 was top-tier anime?

The interesting thing is while this series does take a lot from Eva in terms of themes of depression, it's able to stand on it's own as a genuine love story and that's where it differentiates itself from Eva. I have never seen any other anime taking inspiration from a high held classic and still be able to stand on its own as a powerful story like Rahxephon.

Yeah, that's honestly the high point of the series.

that shit wrecked me for at least a day

Almost didn't watch it because i thought the head wings looked stupid.

I only remember that the best girl wins MCbowl in this anime.

its only better NGE thats all

I should rewatch it one of these days.

The manga version was weird. Anyone played the Ps2 game? It's interesting if you know Japanese. Is there a translation for the conversations between Quon, and Maya? It always bugs me that I can't understand it.

I enjoyed misato end too

Quon was weird

Can you stop making these cancerous threads? If you want to makea RahXephon thread, think of a proper opening post. No wonder that there's no much hostility towards this show.
No it wasn't.
>The interesting thing is while this series does take a lot from Eva in terms of themes of depression
This isn't the case at all. Thematically and narratively, both shows are polar opposites. RahXephon doesn't feature depression at all. It might feature a bunch of characters who have to cope with the reality of reaction and unanswered feelings, but ultimately the show is extremely positive in its presentation. The path to independence isn't depicted like you're wading through hell, which is essentially what you find in NGE with its heavy focus on psycho-analysis, teen angst, linked nervous systems etc.
It was integrated as a design feature because of being the crest of Nacaalian nobles. The Mulians in RahXephon are based on the Nacaal, so Izubuchi fundamentally based the mechs designs on the Raideen (shoulders, forearms) and replaced its shitty helmed with the crest of the featherwinged. Can't say I am much of a fan, either, but I guess it would have looked even dumber everywhere else.
Everything but the TV show is trash. The OVA, the movie, the manga, the game. They are all terrible, especially when compared to the accomplishment that the show managed to be.

I really liked her character design.

Man, you're almost 20 years too late for the shitfest that was RahXephon vs Evangelion.

Ayato is into older women. His relation and interactions with Haruka, Elvy and even his mom always had some sort of sexual tension or inuendo while his relations and with Haruka and Asahina were more like friendship

I reaçy hate how they kept sprouting cryptic lines throughout the entire show

>I reaçy hate how they kept sprouting cryptic lines throughout the entire show
Give me some examples, I reckong I can help with them. There is actually nothing cryptic about any of it.
