The evil drawing of Naofumi is probably my favorite.

It's a fun show, has a decent plot, the "game" mechanics are interesting, based Aussie on the tracks, fun things are fun, etc. Yeah, it has some dumb moments, but that's all part of the charm.
The best part I think is that Naofumi is always on the move, getting shit done, he's not the obvious underdog as he's also kind of a cheat, his kindness is tainted with pride and negative emotions, in an edgy kind of way, granted.
The second best part are his cute party, which is also his not so obvious "harem", a fair point to consider to the bullshit criticism that the Shield is mostly wish-fulfilment, when this is something that falls under that category but doesn't get way of any of the better elements of the story. Besides, what's intrinsically wrong with wish-fulfilment?
You can be a contrarian and a buzzkill all you want, just keep in mind you share some of the same cookie-cutter opinions of the retarded and cancerous "anime press" that shit on the Shield from a political standpoint.

How do you figure? The fact that they weren't in the first episode doesn't qualify them as an asspull. It took a group of magicians with rare and specialized magic equipment to make the abduction video, so it makes perfect sense that they would use other methods first.

The world actually feels antagonistic at times, we're halfway into the season and the shield hero party still struggles to keep up. No love interest harem. Can someone explain me how was Naofumi able to control the Cursed shield?

The cursed series are still ultimately Legendary Weapon forms designed to help the user, they just act as a "backup" so someone consumed by sloth/lust/wrath/etc. isn't just a burden on the other heroes.

His mental strength is pretty much dependent on raphtalia and firo. He was reminded of what little he has in that world that matters to him. There's also other things that help drive the anger off as he's using the shield, eventually his UI displays a timer that indicates how much time he can hold out against the anger, usually just a few minutes of time.

Less backup and more a suicide hotline.

And in the Spear hero novel epilogue, when motoyasu narrated his experiences of the loops to the naofumi we all know, naofumi notes that the dragon is out there searching for the recipe for the genderbend potion. This kind of also imples he had sex with at least raphtalia already. Caue the dragon wants Naofumi's virginity, and it doesn't matter which, though it prefers the male one

Arc 4 was pretty awesome and all, but it also drags like a magical girl anime that puts 20 monster of the week episodes between each minute of plot movement. Fight with the Spirit Tortoise goes faster than that shit did, and it's the most dragged out action scene to ever be penned.
