Usually it's people that are upset that Rebellion "ruined" the original ending, or people that aren't invested enough to do multiple rewatches to properly understand the movie.

Even though I consider Rebellion the best thing to have happened to the Madoka franchise, I can understand the former. The ending of Rebellion is nowhere near as cathartic as the series. And as far as I know, Rebellion wasn't originally planned for, which gives people the impression that it's a "cash grab" ruining an already finished series.

Why do people consider Rebellion's ending bad end? Homura made it so witches don't exist in the universe while still allowing Madoka to live a normal life.

The tone and direction made it feel that way. At least, I'm sure they wanted the audience to feel uneasy about the situation.

I think it's just that she spends most of the series doing absolutely nothing, so people think she's the worst. She does one thing at the end of the series, but in doing so, makes a really big sacrifice on par with what Homura did for her. I feel the gravity of her sacrifice is lost on some people because of how little screentime it had.

Magireco takes place in an alternate universe unaffected by Madoka's wish. Madoka can't interfere with it without destroying it for no real reason.
In this universe, Homu is timelooping as usual, but an anomaly happens. A girl named Iroha trips on a pebble (this may be a plothole due to the time it may have taken place, which is probably before the period of the loop), unlike the other timelines. Because of this, the butterfly effect happens, and she, her loli sister, and her loli sister's friends all become meguca. After some amount of time, Iroha's loli sister and friends found a cult to try and prevent witchification and Iroha loses her memory. Then the time the game takes place begins.

Iroha meets a bunch of megucas and forms a team, and stays at the oldest meguca's apartement along with the rest of the team. Evil cult shenanigans like brainwashing and genocide happens, things are solved with the power of friendship, and walpurgis is beaten with said power of friendship.
