Why do so many people shit on Baki?
Why do so many people shit on Baki?
I like the art and the poses are great.
The story and power level are beyond bullshit.
I don't shit on it because I don't know it.
Whenever I decide to give it a try I look at the art and think: "Nah, let's read something with cute girls instead."
It honestly took me some getting used to, but I've ended up loving it.
>anime about fighting
>no fucking fighting
looks really ugly and shallow
gonna need something other than "oh shit [dumb nigger] is fighting [another dumb nigger]" type of posts to start caring
>he thinks Baki is about fighting
sadly 2018 anime adapted the arc with the least amount of fighting go read the manga the old anime is shit
talking shit to me, bitch?
it's pointlessly violent and grotesque
The main character and main villain suck
I actually loved the netflix anime and it was my first time experiencing anything related to Baki. I enjoyed how over the top it was
Garouden is better
Why was Spek taken out so soon? :(
compared to?
>The story and power level are beyond bullshit.
Why exactly?
It's not like there aren't manga with higher power level.
My big turn off is Yujiro. He is such a terrible character and villain.
That's not his point, it's the power scaling.
1 second this character is really powerful, then they get shit on by new character. This is of course a normal part of power scaling but baki does it too often and too poorly. The characters you don't want to lose keep losing to characters you don't care about.
Isn't dragon ball z the same thing. And one punch man?
see >first level opponent : 1 hundreds thugs
>second level: strongest guy in Japan
>third level: mytical creature (15'6)
>4th level: Giga extra mega tetra nigga (immune to shotgun)
>final level: strongest guy on earth (can kill bears, monster, t rex, everyone in a single punch, stop a earthquake with his bare fist)
>defeated by a tea party with his son
Really, it's the mix between things that make actually sense and utter bullocks
Did that really happen or is he just explaining his feelings?
Then, Oliva got beaten by raw power from Baki (18 years old japanese boy).
It's a joke
i don't see many people shit on it to be honest, just barely anyone on Yea Forums even knows what it is and the one's who do just complain about the artstyle
Ha, also only Jack Hanma use steroids. Every other guys are 100% natty.
The lips wierd me out.
baki breaks a guy's fingers buy punching them with his eyeballs
>obsession with muscles and anatomy
>draw legs too long
>It's a joke
see
Baki is greatest manga in the world. Right after Berserk. Fight me femboys.
>he doesn't know what beauty looks like
My question is how he made a song and dance about fucking his GF and how powerful doing so made him and then proceeds to give a shit about about her after that. It's like once he banged her he didn't care whether she stayed or she left
>Mfw
chad as fuck
He literally tells everyone after the fight that he was lying about that his muscle mass would expand like that.
>fuck his gf endlessly for many days
>tissues are found everywhere
>but not a single bottle of lubes
...
maybe Baki is just better at foreplay than you and his GF has him leaking precum
so, how can he survive a pointblank shot from a shotgun?
"No.. I'm becoming like gaming water!"
My gripe with Baki is that its a martial arts manga but it does some weirdly supernatural shit like that Samurai guy being cloned to be in the present beating like a hundred riot police.
>Yujiro Hanma
>strongest creature on earth
>his cruelty is known to have no boundaries
>meet M.Ali
>Woah, dude, so cool, I respect you so much! All that shit you did for Blacks in America, and victims of wars and shit!
>still killed the 5 guys that were with him for no reasons
>same shit happen with Che Guevara
>Art is ugl-
See most of the art is ridiculous and looks bad to me but then there are pages like this which are amazing
I don't think there were any villains in Baki.
Because Itagaki is the kind of guy who wants to wax philosophical about the nature of strength and such, but his story just isn't good enough to carry the message he wants. His art is questionable but inarguably something most people consider an acquired taste. And his writing has degraded over the years to the point where even the Japanese were lukewarm at best to the last series which had one of the worst overacrching antagonists I've ever had the displeasure to read.
But really, Baki started out a decent battle shounen, had some ok drama. What killed it for me was Yuujiro vs Baki. This is a moment where Itagaki wanted to make a point about "the nature of strength" but wound up falling flat for me because the only way Baki was able to "defeat" his father was to make him imagine some improperly prepared soup being spilled. Because Itagaki wants the notion to be that "making your opponent accept your perception == being stronger than them" this somehow is supposed to forgive the complete wreckening Yuujiro delivered to his son for several chapters. And I'm supposed to walk into the next arc caring that Baki is the worlds strongest boy.
Call me old fashioned but I think the winner of the fight is the guy who punched the other guy into submission.
