Dokunie Cooking

I liked this series and it saddens me that it got axed and translations basically died. It has his typical "What the fuck" reveals but doesn't go as completely off the rails as some of his other series did with the reveal.

It was a great concept, but maybe Minazuki couldn't have two manga running at the same time, or it was a single volume affair that went long enough. Either way, it was a good ride.

Felt too repetitive, could've tried sticking to something slightly different but it felt like he tried to make a joke building up tons just for a lame punchline.

It started feeling weird as he sped through his plot. What a ride from a "dumb stinky elf" start point.

It was interesting how every single chapter suddenly had a important plot point thrown in.

Don't worry, it still had the massive mood whiplash.

I don't get why he can't just do a series that doesn't go full seinen at some point.

I really hope he can actually write a romantic comedy at somepoint that doesn't have some insanely tragic bits in it. His stuff is funny, creative and he draws hot girls but damn I get tired of him needing to put stupidly dark sub-plots in his series.
