Anyone reading this? What's your thoughts on the different direction its taking compared to the original series?
RWBY the Official Manga
>On January 22, 2015, Oum was hospitalized following a severe allergic reaction during a routine medical procedure that rendered him comatose.
>A donation page was set up for the medical expenses on GoFundMe, which received over $210,000.
the state of America
Isn't that when the quality got good?
Honestly, the series got so bad that I dropped canon and just headcanoned the rest.
The manga or the animated series?
Animated series. Didn't even know there was a manga until OP posted it.
I was a pretty big fan of the series, but wasn’t interested enough to watch the latest volume. How was it? Haven’t heard a lot of good about it
No clue but haven't heard good things either. I dropped it on Volume 5. Wasn't even that fond of 4 to be honest.
>January 22, 2015
wow I remember cursing him around that time because there wasn't a new dead fantasy released because he prioritized rooster shit.
Volume 4 and 5 felt like they were trying to tell too many stories at once with very limited time. Haven’t watch 6 yet since 4 and 5 were just not very good, plus I’m kind of worried about them injecting identity politics into it
I can't believe those people did red vs blue.
RWBY the actual series became trash right after the first two trailers in terms of animation and voice acting, but a manga won't have those problems.
So is volume 6 better or worse than ending of volume 5?
If you mean all the fights got worse and plot started falling apart then yes
What happened with the ending of volume 5 I forgot
So pretty much everyone is in single location fighting and shit
Except we see barely any of that fighting and what we see includes gems like Adam losing to single punch
I don't even remember the plot outside of it being a whole lot of nothing
>a whole lot of nothing
Yeah, I remember that being one of my problems with the last 2 volumes. A whole lot of nothing happening
General quality got better in terms of looking more professional, but fight scenes became boring crap - which is really important when one of the main draws to the series were Monty's nutty fight choreography.
Volume 6 is better than Volume 5, mainly because Volume 5 was just that fucking bad.
Yea Forums here. 4 was bearable, 5 was fucking terrible awful shit, latest season was pretty damn good.
Was there any shoehorned identity politics in it?
I do like that artwork
Not that I can think of, no?
But the last episode hints pretty damn strongly that Bumblebee is canon so... there's that, if that bothers you.
what i meant was if they were blatant about it and tried to rub it in your face, like
>here's this new character, they're gay as fuck and we'll remind you every time they're on screen. There's nothing else to their character, you're a bigot if you try to criticize them in any form.
that kind of shit.
None that I can think of.
You should at least check out the first few episodes of season 6. It reveals Salem and Ozpin's origins and introduces a new kind of Grimm.
They meet one of Jaune's sisters who is married to another woman and they have an adopted kid.
Its not that bad, but it is one of those things you know the writers made a deliberate decision to add.
