I just marathoned (the first season of) this, what do you think of it?
Is it ever going to get a full adaptation?
Who do you think is going to win the chihaya-bowl?
Chihayafuru

We're getting S3 soon.
I liked that they gave focus to the other characters like porkbun, desk-kun, and big boob girl.
The best episode I think is when the twin-tail when she cuts her nails.
Every match felt intense and you could generally gauge who was higher skill.
It got into the nitty gritty portions of the sport too which is always a good thing.
I liked both the first season and second season.
Season 3 is already confirmed for Fall 2019. If they continue at the same pace and assuming the manga wraps up soon, a fourth season of the same length as the prior three would probably cover everything. Support the adaptation when it comes out if you wanna see that happen.
Also Taichi did nothing wrong and Arata was a huge faggot until like 2/3rds into the series. Was seriously hoping Taichi would win the bowl until recently, not so sure anymore. I actually really love all the characterization in this series for everyone. Definitely a favorite.
>what do you think of it?
It's a favorite series of mine.
>Is it ever going to get a full adaptation?
Season 3 is coming in October, but it still won't catch up to the manga. It could get a full adaptation after the manga finishes up this year, but that's just speculation on my part.
>Who do you think is going to win the chihaya-bowl?
Arata obviously.
>Also Taichi did nothing wrong
Except steal the glasses of Arata which filled him with such a profound shame and guilt that it carried over into his teen years. Plus he was pretty creepy when it came to Chihaya, like stating that she was his to which Arata replies that she just belong to anyone and claiming to be her boyfriend to Suo.
>wasting your time on shoujo trash
if you're gonna watch trash, at least watch trash with some tits in it
>inb4 roastie
>inb4 faggot
whatever, loser
>>>/reddit/
she doesn't belong to anyone*
>josei
>shoujo
you need to rope yourself user, thats what i think
these posts remind me that I'm posting with literal preteens
Arata did nothing wrong. It's Taichi that's a petty faggot.
A series can't be both josei and shoujo.
It's josei and of course it has tits. The MC is a girl.
>Was seriously hoping Taichi would win the bowl until recently
The title is pretty much a dead give away on which guy she'll end up with. Plus Suetsugu has been frank since the beginning in terms of which guy Chihaya held in her heart in the romantic light.

New translated chapter.
And from the new chapter Arata is the core.
>And from the new chapter Arata is the core.
Along with the ribbon/cord. Suetsugu confirmed that the manga will be reaching it's climax in October so it's definitely ending this year. Since we get one chapter a month, we have less than 10 left. I imagine the remaining chapters will have as many Chihaya x Arata moments as possible since the Meijin/Queen showdowns will be the main focus. It's obvious those two will be dethrone Suo and Shinobu and become a couple once they achieve their dream.
Maybe Chihaya might not win but it will be a close fight and she will finally gain Shinobu's friendship. Arata will win because that's the main point for him.
>Maybe Chihaya might not win
Chihaya will definitely win, and in return for taking the Queen title from Shinobu, a title which she revolved her entire existence around, she will gain a lifelong friend/companion/rival in Chihaya, which is huge for someone like her since she spent quite literally her entire life up till now in her own little world refusing to let anyone in/too close. Suetsugu has already stated Shinobu will probably be the one Chihaya spends the rest of her life alongside while they both dedicate their lives to karuta so there's definitely going to come a moment when Shinobu let's Chihaya in.
This will hold true to the very end.
Arata x Chihaya is purely delusional shipping. Chihaya still hasn't shown the slightest hint of a romantic interest in anyone, except for Harada-Sensei (RIP).
>. Chihaya still hasn't shown the slightest hint of a romantic interest in anyone
She's already stated that she's in love Arata, and Suetsugu confirmed it in an interview as well. Die mad about it.
Well it's either Arata or no one at this point.
I actually really like what they did for the ending of the trilogy of movies to give us a conclusion despite the manga being ongoing. The anime and manga are better, but the movies were enjoyable, and Suzu Hirose is a cute. Rooting for our boy Taichi despite all the suffering he and we have gone through.
NAIYA
>Rooting for our boy Taichi
What exactly is left to root for? Chihaya already rejected him, and Suetsugu pulled the plug on his Karuta storyline with that 18 card defeat.
Win Arata's love because Arata is his core
It would explain why they decided to push the anime back by 6 months. Probably want to sync up the anime and manga endings.
>Probably want to sync up the anime and manga endings.
Maybe so, but even in the manga is entering it's climax in October. I imagine the climax will be the results of Chihaya vs. Shinobu. The actual final chapter could drop in November or December for all we know. Suetsugu also revealed that she was originally planning on ending the series this Spring, which took me by surprise.
Hope the anime does this scene justice. The movie confession was great as well.
Hope we at least get a kiss at the end of the manga.
Aratafags will be completely btfo
By what?
What's that ribbon supposed to represent?
I think Arata will win but I still hope he ends up with the Queen.
It was so cute when Shinobu stayed over and made youtube videos with him.
Chihaya will be the next queen anyway.
user Arata X chihaya is a foregone conclusion by now.
