Yes, he's my favorite alonside Ollerus. I think the self-loathing nature of his ability and personality in general is very interesting. I think it was surprisingly great how he was depcited as a version of accelerator that went horribly wrong but it seems that even when they both reach the same conclusion (That villainy and heroism don't matter and it's only about singular actions) they still interpret that notion very differently making me wonder if Kakine would have been changed by Touma if they fought (sort of like Vento who didn't really get influenced by Touma all that much)

Interesting thought, so a realistic ambition is what's missing? To be fair we still don't exactly know what Kakine wanted from Aleister at OT15, we just know that it was supposed to happen in the form of negotiation. He wants to take over academy city and control it but we also don't know why.

Would you be satisfied if Kakine had no deep motive but his nihilistic ideology was still expanded upon enough to demonstrate why he lacks said motive to begin with? The way I saw it, Kamachi seemed to want to send the point across one of these points

1-Kakine has gone through a tragedy, so the person he treasured no longer exists

2-He has gone through a tragedy but it was personal and not about failing to save someone

3-hes just a cunt that is obsessed with power and control.

Personally I'm fine with the lack of a sad story. I believe that not having a distinct obligation/reason is appropriate for his character since he seems to have given up om everything, it's rather symbolic that he just follows through with he does just because he "wants" to.

He's got potential, a serious one that, if done masterfully, his arc would be among the best of raildex. Its would have been set up for an abnormal amount of time, and with Othinus he's finally got a link to confront Touma with.
Sure, he might not compare to NT9 but that doesn't stop Kamachi from trying to illustrate suffering like with Aleister. Tragedy comes in many forms and honestly, Kakine's tragedy is being continually created by himself unknowingly.

It depends on the drawing speed and how crazy smooth you want to make the action. Animation takes time. Then again, if youre just editing a fight and dont have to worry about keyframes and such, its much shorter because you already have the "skeleton" of the scene to work with. It would be like the difference between writing a novel and writing fanfiction.

Still it would require a lot of time and effort regardless. You'd have to be autistic as fuck to do undertake something like this for free. Fortunately, R/a/ildex is extremely autistic.

I don't know about fixing animation, but there was someone on Nicovideos who was adding Accel's vector sfx to his Kakine fight.
Honestly, the sound fuckups are almost as bad as the animation ones.
Part of the reason for the punches and fights are lacking impact is that the sfx timing is fucked compared to previous seasons.

Eh, I can see why. Touma has been on covers in NT for ages so its not like it would shock anyone, might as well try to get a lead in to Birdway/NT

Narration clearly says he "died" and him being alive when Birdway retrieves him isn't new either. So it still comes down to it either being a metaporical "death" like in OT1 or some sort of resurrection happening pretty much immediately.
