I'm really late but I just finished the part 4 anime (don't worry, not an anime only, read all the manga years ago just dropped the anime for a while) and that final episode was fantastic.
Though I have to wonder, why did the part 4 anime seem so low quality all the time? It looked like shit more often than not. I mean, part 3 did too but somehow it was more jarring to me in part 4. I just get the feeling they didnt try very hard with a couple of exceptions.
On the other hand, part 5, though it can be pretty quality at times, seems to have a lot more care and production value, why is that?

Part 4 was made with less time and less budget since SDC didn't sell as well as they were hoping. Considering the limitations it's more impressive that part 4 worked as well as it did. Part 5's a huge step-up though, I don't get how it can be "pretty quality at times" either. The only "QUALITY" ep we've had in part 5 was the first Clash/Talking Heads ep and half of the first ep of the little feet fight. Aside from those this has easily been the most consistent adaptation yet.
