Naruto has Orochimaru locked up in a lab somewhere trying to help out the village; even though he killed Hiruzen (Naruto's hero, just as Julius was to Asta), Naruto is still wary around him and limits his movements and decision-making as much as possible, only allowing him what research needs to be done for the village's sake. The only one that Naruto arguably forgave completely was Sasuke, and that was only because of their history. TNJ isn't forgiveness; it's trying to convince someone that what they are doing is wrong, but they can change with the right guidance.

I wasn't really feeling this chapter. BC is falling into the pattern of "every bad guy eventually joins to the good guys". Mars turned good, Rades turned good after he resurrected himself, Vetto got resurrected and will turn good once the elves make a full comeback, both Ladros and the Witch Queen turned good and Langris probably won't be such an asshole towards Finral anymore either. Now Patri who has been the big bad up until now, has killed or permanently injured people and was willing to nuke the capital somehow gets redeemed as well even after he had already given up and fallen into despair. The only exceptions are the irrelevant characters like the icicle mage or the mud guy. At the rate things are going the word-devil is also going to get a tragic backstory and reveal that he had good intentions all along. I'm not opposed to redemption arcs in general but it gets stale when it happens to every single bad guy. I hope Patri at least kicks the bucket after this since otherwise he will have gotten away with everything.
