was there that much interest in the series to give it another anime?

The Mangaka said in an interview the talks to make a new anime started after an incident at a party to celebrate her 20th anniversary as an mangaka. So she sucked a lot of dick for this show.

It's the best selling shoujo in the US and is like top ten in Japan. And it's the 20th anniversary so it's as good a time as any to make a non shit adaptation

It is a highly regarded classic and was pretty popular during it's time. Guess they want to cash in on some nostalgia.

How well does she fare a 3 points shots?

Her mother was in a gang and her father's not in the picture so probably pretty well.

Always good practicing some sport

In a lot of countries the manga selection was Naruconanpiece or Fruba for the longest time.

>was there that much interest in the series to give it another anime?

Considering Fruits Basket manga gave the biggest "fuck you" towards the comic book industry for not being inclusive towards female readers and jumped started the manga train, yeah, it's a big deal

Looking forward to actually seeing animated Tohru have personality and any sort of character depth. Actually feel that way about all the characters

she is cute.

I saw the first two eps in theaters already and loved it, liked the first animu but looking forward to seeing the whole manga adapted

I'm confused. Please elaborate.

I guess he's saying that Fruit Basket was the first manga in the US to prove that girls will indeed buy comic books in spite of what Marvel and DC apparently believed by not making anything targeted at them for decades.

I watched the anime twice and I read the manga to the 21st volume. I honestly think it's pretty mediocre, but then again that's what I think for most shoujo manga I've read.

I think Please save my earth or anything by Clamp is far superior to this manga and they come from the same years more or else, but then again they don't have the same amount of bishonen.

>I watched the anime twice
Just a quick question, do you hate yourself?

Yes.

I'm completely new to FruBa. While my 2 weeb friends in high school read it, I was into other series at the time.
Now I'm taking this chance to start it and understand what's up with these guys.

The important question remains.
Fatalpulse when?

I haven't watched this series in like a decade but whats up with people describing it as a 'more of a slice of Life Comedy than romance'? I distinctly remember it being a reverse harem.

If the break cards aren't cute it fails.

I'd say Nana was a better shoujo but it's not as kid-friendly.

Nana is a Josei so that might be why

It isn't a reverse harem when only two guys are interested in her. One of which isn't even a main character. However it's not a slice of life either

Unironically Fruits Basket has one of the best anime rivalries. Or at least the twist about it was really good
