Video game->anime adaptations eat dicks and always will for format reasons alone and especially since they're by and large just commercials to try to raise awareness for and funnel people into the games. This goes double for gacha type stuff. You're gonna get like a greatest hits scenario of all the in jokes and memes fans of the game already like from it stripped of context for people that didn't play those games all set to the arbitrary and awkward pace of a 12 episode period with a facsimile of a climax at the end and that's it. Expecting anything more is just stupid and pointless really if not flat out self-defeating.

I maintain the biggest problem with the modern weeb anime fan is that they still choose to spend their time actually watching and consuming shitty seasonal cash grab anime on TV. About the time when consoles and phones became capable of displaying animation, modelling and general sequences on par or superior to CG-Assisted animation is when the TV anime medium more or less became obsolete to me.
I literally play just about any JRPG and the modeling, artistry, music production and just overall blending of the interactive experience is consistently better than any twelve episode anime I can find on TV. Not to mention it lasts longer, with more content and complete arcs for characters and subplots with just plain better value for my time spent. If I'm literally going to sit there with a non-interactive product to get a dose of Japanese media I'd sooner spend it watching an animated film or OVA or reading some manga where they had some amount of time to actually make something of the damn production.
In short no idea why all you weird fuckers only seem to watch seasonal anime trash for the most part and try to argue and rationalize (poorly at that) about which one forced into an arbitrary 3 month time frame is supposedly better than the other one in the same time frime.

Which is exactly what's gonna happen if you pay any attention at all to how this stuff usually gets adapted to an animated format. Like I said in another thread, Seasonal TV anime fans have like the lowest standards of any fanbase I've ever seen in my entire life. A greatest hits of popular character moments is plenty for the people that are gonna seriously set aside time to consume this, that's how it'd get done if it were a light novel or visual novel adaptation too which in some ways it kind of is.
I have nothing against the game itself, the artwork (in the games at least, anime is bog standard A1 Pictures budget saving but that doesn't look like complete dog shit so much as generic and safe artwork) is absolutely gorgeous and it seems like a fun enough time passer if all you have to game with is a cell phone, but man I cannot fathom putting my time towards watching an anime of it with any grand expectations at all.
