this is what happens when you have hikikomori translate human interaction.

they are translating from japanese to weeb.

前略
Thinking about it, a race would be a pretty bad test for a promotion. I don't think anyone hiring an undine would think speed is a top priority. Is Aika the real baka here?

And that's the end of this volume. See you next again!

Akari has taken the lead in this race.

Thank you

Thanks for the dump! I guess maybe Aika might be thinking that if you're able to navigate your gondola swiftly through the windy course through the canals, while nearly the entire town is also out in their gondolas, it'd reflect well on their skill in piloting the gondola? But yeah, I think you're right - who'd hire a Neo Venetian Undine to rush somewhere? (Save Akatsuki wanting to get to the cable car station quicker).

I can't recall if there's a gondola race as such in actual Venice - but there is a ceremonial regatta that takes place annually, and there is a race... on foot. And believe me, Venetian alleys aren't the widest, and there are plenty of bridges along the way! But then the canals can get pretty gummed up with boat traffic too.

That was your unwarranted Venetian trivia of the dump, and Alicia-sama is best girl! Though all the Undines are wonderful.

>Alicia-sama is best girl
Ufufu

>Hopefully you can perform better than normal, Akari
translation makes it seem like Alicia’s dissing her

Uh-oh. That was a Freudian slip, honest. There was a lot of Alicia in this chapter, I'm tired, and I'm not thinking straight. Honestly meant to extol the virtues of Madame Suwa, the great Crimson Rose. Honest!

Based Aika, using the event to attract future customers
>thanks for helping me dick up the fruits
heheheh

>Based Aika
WTF? how dare you!

Everyone is getting names wrong today.

Easy to do when everyone's name starts with the letter A!

I don't exactly remember the timing in anime, but in manga, Akari's promotions come a t a very irregular intervals. She gets to Single very quickly, but next promotion takes her almost full duration of manga's run and then she can't work together with Alicia, because apparently Aria Undines must follow the Rule of Two.
