yes but it's actually entertaining, cohesive and tonally consistent. it has a good dub and a great soundtrack and it's funny and well animated and the art direction is next level.

I’m not the one who recommended it originally, but Ancient Magus’ Bride is a beautiful anime and follows the manga very closely. It’s quickly became one of my favorites.

I like everything about Champloo but I hate the ending. I wish Jin had died and Mugen and Fuu stayed together. I love Jin, but he'd be one of my favorite characters of all time if he had sacrificed himself.
I hate that they all go their own ways in the end it makes it seem like the journey was all for nothing.
