I don't understand why fans have pit both forms of animation against each other. The irony is that there really isn't that much animosity between the two industries they watch each other's stuff very often. Hell, Japan's debating whether or not to watch king of the hill subbed or dubbed. I don't care for the methods of animation used in most modern western cartoons. Avatar, Korra, Castlevania? I've gladly watched those. Old Disney? That's the good shit. Before they abandoned 2D they were the kings of the technique, only thing they lacked was the diverse subject matter that Japanese animation has covered. But for the most part, there is a huge difference between the two and the west also has a problem of being preachy about modern political issues, something that is either not acknowledged by anime or when it is is done with a much greater level of tact. Think of lily from ZLS, everyone in the show was just okay with what she wanted to be acknowledged as, the whole point of her character was not to be a constant voice for the justification of the progressive way of thinking required to facilitate her desires, they just were acknowledged, no unnecessary preaching required.
There is no animosity between the two industries and they are constantly collaborating but the fans of either are allowed to have their preferences and for you to just dismiss the validity of those preferences is extremely short sited and suggest a lack of critical thinking ability.

Also he was one of the pioneers of anime's limited animation style, that's not how Disney shit was made. Additionally Tezuka's style is not Anime's style. Did you see how the new Dororo adaptation was done in the anime style and not in tezuka's? It vastly better than the original.
