Thinking about starting a VHS collection. Anyone know any good places to buy them aside from ebay?

yahoo auctions japan is good if you can't find what you're looking for on ebay
of course you're not gonna find anything subbed/dubbed there so keep that in mind
also you'll need to use a proxy shipping service like white rabbit express which will cost extra but it's worth it if you're looking for something rare or can't find it anywhere else
Why the hell would you do that? Forgetting that the quality is fucking terrible to start with they become unwatchable after 15 years or so.
Any particular reason? DVDs will get you that original 480i experience with none of the degradation.
Why would you that? Having VHS tapes on the digital era make no sense and you're just going to waste space on your house.
>"you can't understand! you're just a faggot zoomer!"
I'm sure I'm older than you; I was a child when we were in the middle of the Betamax vs VHS war. When I could have all of my anime on DVDs and then on external HDDs I never looked back.
flea markets or pawn shops if you're in a reasonably sized city
VHS collections are just laserdisc collections for plebs.
Don't be that guy, this is almost as bad as buying vinyls.
He's a dumb child easily influenced by internet memes
as OP said he's wanting to start a collection. it's not about quality, it's for the sake of collecting, plus nostalgic value.
LDs are great. OP if you're gonna start collecting old media shit like this include some LDs in your collection. although a good working player can be hard to come by if you actually intend on watching them.
t. uncultured nigger
I generally play 4:3 anime exclusively on my CRT. There is no tangible benefit for VHS/Laserdisc over DVD unless the DVD authoring is abysmal or you prefer how it looks on a shelf.
Fuck off zoomer
I have a crt with an hdmi port. bd rips of 4:3 shows look super crisp, really gives my crt autism a massive boner.

Mate, at least go with Laser-discs or BetaMaxes. Either is a better format, preferred by the people who made and watched these shows.
I have a few shows on discs and they look just as good as any rip from someone who knows what they're doing
I envy your weak eyeballs.
Now I regret getting rid of my Betamax player, VHS player, old CRT TVs and Beta / VHS tapes.
I could sell them for a lot of money to nostalgic retards like OP.
OP, You should collect laserdiscs I saw the whole Gunbuster collection on auction for a very good price
Laserdisks are too advanced; OP wants archaic technology for maximum hipster points.
oh my god it’s the weeb equivalent of “why would you buy that when you can just emulate it on RaspberryPi” plebs
Nope. VHS hold no inherent value over DVD. If you aren't doing DVD -> Component 480i to a CRT then you're the pleb, bub.
moron subhuman phoneposter
Buy them? You'd probably be able to get people to give them to you for free, even charity shops won't accept them any more
In the navy!
B-But muh aesthetic!
