When NT gets adapted, I honestly want it handled by an entirely new production team. New director, new character designer, new color designer, new screenplay writer, new art director, etc. I just can't see the current formula working as it stands if or when they give it a fourth attempt.

Basically plot. Can't have Accel being a full gary stu who has a hax L5 power, a calc level beyond other L5, access to wings and magic, be near invulnerable, and near no holes or kryptonite in his game. It would just make the character and story worse.

The same way Touma always gets healed everywhere except his brain, accel gets healed everywhere except his brain, and hamazura gets healed everywhere except his brain but the moment a non-MC gets injured (Mugino or Kakine) the get turned into a cyborg or refrigerator because AC doesn't have the science to fix those injuries.

Kakine was turned into a fridge on purpose to be fair.

Even if you healed Touma's brain would it really bring back the memories? It depends how finnicky the "magic" healing him is I would assume and if it heals matter, connections, or what have you.

Aleister needs Accelerator more than Kakine and so he treats him better. Might also dote on him. This isnt much of a stretch of the imagination.

Coronzon isn't dead and the entrapment is temproary, since Aleister clearly states their union is temporary and he wants his own body. Coronzon isn't going to stay irrelevant for the rest of the series.

What sane person measures "should a character be here" on a gain/loss ratio? Those characters didnt specifically join the arc saying "I want to gain X" and then ignore it the entire time. This would be like if Mikoto said she was going to England to save her dad, and then entirely ignored him. Hamazura quite literally immediately fucked off from Aleister's group and then made no efforts to ever secure anything to protect himself.

Will has talked to her a total of less than a minute, and the speech he gave 545 (which I am sure Will heard) obviously had a link back to the clones, as well as his own past. Will's conversation about 545, and most of 545's existence feels incredibly like I'm being force fed an idea. Its the same with Touma and Othinus, but at least she got the luxury of being the full star of her own arc and was around a while before "muh understanding" became a thing.

I didn't hate the Dion storyline, but a lot of Hamazura's behavior there also didn't sit right with me. Dion's even lazier than 545. It's like Kamachi's trying to feed me the same "here, new girl! like her, now! better than older characters!" without even bothering to say it. What sets me apart from a lot people who are whining about Dion and Hamazura is while I find it unsettling, I feel like it's going to serve a purpose. Kind of like the same way I felt about Angel Fall. Of course, I expected Angel Fall's purpose to come much sooner than it did and had no guesses as to what said purpose actually was, but I knew an angel existing was going to do something later. I expect Hamazura to go the same way.

The Othinus storyline was dogshit so I'm glad neither 545 nor Dion had anything like that.

Hamazura was more or less grounded in his heroism, this time it felt too much like “Roll 50 coins and win every time, Sausga Shiageluck”.
