The final boss is probably Gyro, who is a regular ant soldier. And Gon is only confirmed to meet him, not beat him. Gyro is accompanied by a normal human, an exorcist ant with no combat abilities, an aged Welfin, and Ikalgo, who is Killua's friends.

Kurapika is probably sacrificing most of his lifespan this arc and the next one so he won't be able to spam Emperor Time, the Spiders and Hisoka will probably die this arc, most of the Association will be dying in the DC, and Ging will probably stay there to continue with Don's work.

Gon doesn't need a power boost to be relevant. Give Gyro an ability that counters Killua's and that is all Gon needs to be relevant.

Hisoka - Personally invested in Gon's growth, Gon sets out to hunt him out of personal accomplishment and desire to refind his strength

Even without his special eyes, he nen'd himself to be able to solo any of the spiders just because he had strong emotions and made a death vow to kill only the spiders. Gon used the same strong emotions and said he doesn't care anymore and was willing to drain his nen completely to just kill Pitou, or have the power last long enough for a battle with Pitou before it starts draining. He was SUPPOSED to die before Killua saved him, but now that the draining has been negated the negative consequence is irrelevant. Strong nen is literally just "How much can I make my life inconvenient/very close to the verge of death to have strong nen?" combined with emotions to make it even stronger. Hisoka's nen is just cheeky and intelligent so he sacrifices nothing, Netero had to pray every few seconds in the same spot for like 5 years to get his, and Gon/Killua had to vow to die + were powered up by emotion hacks and eye hacks.

I would expect the only way would be if someone tried to get to gin through gon. The antagonists of the current arc all have shit tonnes of money and soldiers, so it's not too unreasonable to suspect that when they get to the dark continent and end up finding out about gin also fucking around that they'll want to get him to back off. After they kidnap gon. Killua comes back from his travels to check up on him and then you have a two part story with killua trying to rescue gon, and kurapika and gin trying to stop the current dude from ruling the dark continent.

Togashi broke his back by drawing "while laying on his stomach" or something. His ownership of the series means he can work when he wants (even before the major hiatuses he would take frequent breaks). Even though he's better now, he still only does 10 chapters at a time.

Of course, so much of this could be alleviated if he hired an artist, but he doesn't. Don't know if it's pride or something, and it's not like he's been doing all the work. There's points where it's obviously his wife taking over.

Not that guy and the paneling in HxH is definitely not creative, but that is not why it is good. Togashi usually uses the paneling and page-flip pretty well for pacing, emphasis, and tone-shifts.

You can go through the entire manga and you will never find a moment when a moment of high tension or important reveal wasn't accompanied by a page-flip, when the reading order was hard to identify, or when different tones meshed in a single page.

Many manga that focus on "creative paneling" fail at these basic things.
