They abused a dog, and then came back to kick it while it was down. Kaban and Serval still are separated and Kaban on suicide watch again. Birds of paradise did nothing really dspite the build up except randomly appear towards the end and spout cryptic shit that only Kyruru could see or hear. There's a dangerous, Cerulean-making underwater volcano but they forgot about it by the end, the big ass cerulean battleship final boss is actually a cruise boat and it turned intself into a bunch of piss weak smaller ceruleans that mostly all died in one hit. Kyururu's origin is never fully explained but maybe she was a former park guest(?) based on a drawing of her with Mirai, she jumps over that ridiculously small crack like she did in the first episode again and it's treated like a big accomplishment, and while they don't find her home its okay because she realized her real home is the friends she made along the way.

Only way to link the letter with Kyuru's drawing is that it is quad folded. That is a very weak connection, there are other letters we cant see and she appears to care about keeping them organized. Kyuru probably didn't leave a separate letter is my guess.
