Hidan was such a dumbass, and he broke too many shounen rules to be spared (killed a hero, not bishounen, no freudian excuse for his evil, etc)

It's disappointing how the akatsuki were treated. Show should've focused more on them as antagonists, instead of the Uchiha wank.

They aren't the main bad guys so why the fuck would Kishi give them a backstory worth a damn? They both got defeated in great ways, one to show the rasenshuriken and the other to show how powerful Shikamaru is.

No the travesty would Deidara and Sasori, there fights were stupid and I hated their deaths.

At least Deidara got more screentime. Sasori was offed too easily considering his supposed importance (Deidara's superior, former partner with Orochimaru who held him in high regard, had a network of spies and agents, etc)

Sakura was able to defeat Sasori because Lady Chiyo had a solid knowledge of Sasori's abilities and his puppetry arts.

Sakura had the antidote due to previously Kankuro being poisoned by Sasori blades. She actually had three antidotes prepared, she took one (Or she would die) and gave one to Lady Chiyo. Basically

Sakura had time to prepare and develop a counter for Sasori's poison.

The fact that she had the antidotes as well as Chiyo had counters and that she revived Gaara just shows Kishi wrote himself in a hole and couldn't get out. For fucks sake his puppets were strong he could take down a country but an old fossil and scrub chunnin could somehow fight him to the death? Give me a fucking break.

Deidara had all the makings of a cool anatagonist that would recurring. Should have had another fight with Sasuke and used his trump card then but nope instead he gets taken out in a dumb fashion. A bomb jutsu user was a cool idea but Kishi wasted it.

I think the bigger problem was that Sasori didn't kill Kankuro on the spot and instead let him die of his poison, which paved the way to his defeat. Plus, it was implied Sasori let himself be killed.

if you hadnt noticed lots of people die in the series. at both points those characters simply serve 1 purpose. to demonstrate growth in the characters they fought and lost to. you think of it in terms of lasting characters. naurto doesnt have many lasting antagonist other than orochimaru if your looking at it without back story counted and only from episode 1 forward with nothing before that counted

I had a feeling Kishimoto had high hopes for Kankuro in terms of upping his puppets and becoming a lot more powerful but put to the way side when he realized how much shit he had to get through.

Kankuro should have died and Sakura putting the finishing touches on Sasori will always piss me off. I don't give a fuck if he wanted to die, he should have died to better more fearsome ninja.

rasenshuriken was the worst end to a fight ever. so anticlimactic
