What kind of anime would appeal to men and women audiences equally?

What kind of anime would appeal to men and women audiences equally?
Both men and women seem to like bland protagonists, just make them a deuteragonist or something like Ranma where they can switch sexes but have the same personality.

Just make a good anime, without all the self-insert, wish fulfilment fantasy bullshit.

Inu X Boku SS threads coined the term "omnipandering". There's something for everyone in that show.

Good is too broad of a term, high school setting battle harems are popular with boys but girls likes a harem filled with metrosexual and almost mentally unstable men.
If there's a good battle harem anime, if it's not filled with the kind of characters girls like, it won't appeal to them.

Let's check the chart:

Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece apparently. There you go, OP.

Well that was boring.

Dorohedoro?

Would never work in animated form though

Battle shounen with lots of Yaoi bait.

It literally has an anime coming out soon, user.💢

But those are shounen.

>women liking gintama this much
wtf i love females now

>Bleach almost a perfect split
Kubo is a genius.

Sports anime already do that

Lots of handsome men and cute girls with nice character development and interactions for all of them, pleasing both shipping and waifu/husbando fags.

I miss Reborn.

>it turns into a shitty hollywood movie pandering to the lowest common denominator
No thank you, I'll take my anime made specifically as per my tastes.

So? If the readership is still roughly 50%, then that's beside the point. I'm sure there's shoujo, and seinen and so on, series with similar weird slips in their demographics.

It's what prints money for Fate and GBF, though.

Yuri at least in manga format is close to a 50/50 gender demographic.
