Because the manga wouldn't have a narrator, and the narration there actually follows Tsuchi's line of thought, since Aleister neither deny nor confirm his statements, implying there might be more than just the artificial heaven to his plans. There are many instances where the narration follows a character’s thoughts and can be quite easily worked to have them think aloud or just in their heads, the anime almost never does this though, so it looks like they are just jumping to conclusions sometimes like the OT 6 scene. It's also why the narration can be unreliable sometimes, because it's following a character who only has half the picture.

Alright, since I'm at a computer now I felt the need to illustrate my autism around what the hell Lessar's height is a little more clearly, with the lack of an official source and all. The main measuring stick we have in this picture is Birdway, who unfortunately has a variable height as well. Being "not even 140 cm tall". Somewhere under it, but we dont know the exact height. Being that it's likely not a huge amount more than a couple inches that she's flubbing on having, and she wears heels, which will give her 2-3 inches back that she's pretending to have, we can probably safely call Birdway's height, the second line in this picture, 140cm. Now comes the trickier part. Going from line 2 to line 1. Unfortunately I'll need another guess here, so my standard deviation isn't going to be great. Measuring by a head though seems an ok way to go, google says the average is 8-9 with females being on the smaller end, so we'll call the distance from line 1 to 3 8 inches. Enlarging the picture a bit at home to get some ruler measurements and divide the top section by the bottom gives me the fraction of the line 1 to 2 distance as 30% of the whole distance between line 1 and 3. Which with (8*0.3) gives Lessar 2.4 inches or 6 cm over Birdway. Putting her not at 144 but 146 cm.

A fun side note as well as I was scrutinizing this picture is that Birdway and Lessar's waists are more or less level, which, for fun, tells us Birdway has some pretty long legs when you compare where their shoulders are to each other.
