No seriously fuck this whole arc. It's somehow slower and with less happening than the tournament arc. They need to just burn the damn book and fuck the curse, the owner probably deserves whatever backlash happens.

To be honest, nothing had a chance to develop since everyone got enslaved the moment they left the forest. As far as moving towards the goal of locating the target, there's been no progress.
I expect the twist to be that the little sister catgirl is actually the target and the big sister is some self insert character created when the girl went into the coma

Other way around. Big sister is the target and has had her head fucked with to make her think she's a character in the book. Little sister is the heart/personification of the tsugu and is keeping the targer tied to the starting area so she doesn't advance through the plot and end the story.

That's the obvious read on the situation, big sister has the same hair as the target and everything. However, I think it would be more interesting if the book manifested a sort of self insert and the girl was just bed-ridden the whole time unaware of what was actually happening. Would also alleviate the need to make the cat sympathetic after all the backstabbing she's done as she doesn't need to walk out of the arc alive.
