I wonder if Neph at least partially planned Accel's power up. First she cleared up that shit Coronzon did. Unlike Niang who wanted tough fights were she could go all out, Neph's fight with Accel were like PH and Mikoto in NT13. She didn't try to defend herself and just let him tear her apart. She didn't attack him all that aggressively despite showing she could force through his reflect. She also seem to know what the invisible spear could do before he used it. She has been shown to know a lot about accel and even the network connection based off the water attack. Perhaps she knew 545 could help him cross the abyss, she showed no interest in fighting him before he and demon did their fight team up. They stopped fighting after Accel got his new magic moves despite Neph seemingly being ok and Accel despite the recoil having enough juice to do that exorcism on Coronzon. Plus Kamachi says " wishy-washy Nephthys who ended up supporting anyone and everyone" sounds she ended intentionally helping despite her personality.
