For some reason the chapter of this manga always feel like they are only half as long as they actually are.

The establishing shots or anticipation shots are really simple and quick and narrative one two punches are handled in a single panel.
It lends to a really fast reading.
Basically any panel with a double speech bubbles could use breaking up, or a more interesting visuals.

I've only seen Japanese authors carrying off their series to other magazines if their original magazine publisher closed shop. Like Q Hayashida's Dorohedoro series changing from Comic IKKI magazine to Hibana or Ikebana magazine when Ikki closed.

I've never seen a japanese manga series going from mainstream publisher going the Doujinshi or indie publishing way when it was axed. I've never seen an axed manga series making a sequel manga with similar theme.
I'm familiar with series starting off as a Doujinshi series then got picked up by Manga magazines, liek the Ane naru mono series
