Only thing Earth arc had going for it was punished Komachi and the hybrid fusion technique. Outside of that it was perpetuating the "human v human" conflict which was the dumbest addition to the story by far.

I agree that calling human male dominance a mistake is inappropriate, however the fact that women can (most of the times, generally) perform men's jobs, and women can be controlled by these wasps (and given enough resources and numbers, can coerce men, like Himeno did by controlling someone's relatives), could be considered an exploitable flaw, in-universe.
The part with the ovum and sperm reminds me of Bateman's principle, which implies that since eggs are scarcer and more costly to produce and maintain, the females feel the need to be more selective, while males on the other hand would try to maximize their offspring by mating with more females; perhaps in species where females have physical advantage, or in species which use a courtship system, they can have a better control of which males to mate with.
The fact that males tend to not be as selective as females (according to said principle, and greater availability of sperms, but still species-dependant because in some cases, larger females are preferred) doesn't seem to contribute more to said vulnerability in the humans' society, than the flexibility in the roles of human males and females (which allow female leaders to be controlled), though.

Yeah I stopped following it. All the fun stuff was on mars. Hell the competition and human vs human war made sense because there were profits and development they could get from the stuff on mars.
