I've played all the mainline ones, but rb2 was the last one I played going back through them so maybe I'm mostly remembering that.

I will admit their games are not 10/10, but it is nice to see that they at least try. They never make huge leaps or bounds, but there's enough of a bump in quality that makes them interesting. We've come a long way from OG HDN being a literal copy paste, to having improved itself in every iteration, and also experimenting with new engines. Nep is the perfect series to experiment with new genre's if they want to because it fits the series completely. Also their non-nep games have been pretty enjoyable lately. I really like their Galapagos team. I'm waiting for Steam, but Death End is sounding good, and I'm also interested in Varnir despite hearing it's a lesser game.
