This was a reasonable misunderstanding early on in the series, but the anime beyond that point is full of series resisting their fate. So much for Cinderella's one and only excuse, eh?
Cinderella in general pisses me off beyond words. I hate her so much. I wish that I had just skipped episodes 2 and 3, because the thought of her burns me up so much I feel like I'm on fire.
Overall, I'm not sure what to rate this show. I mean, it's good and all, but Cinderella is a huge red mark on the franchise. I miss more innocent and carefree times when we were escorting Little Red Hood.

I think the most rage inducing part about her is that she never really did anything for Ex past being his only friend growing up. While that was enough for him, it just came off as self serving since she only ever thought of her own fate. Offering him a job as a leader of her knights or something would have been nice rather than tossing him aside for a faceless prince. The poor guy would have ended up homeless if he didn't leave with Reina's group since Cinderella wouldn't have done anything for him. She just comes off as being cold hearted.

I'll miss this show, I enjoyed it. The 'villains' having motivations that weren't straight up evil was pretty great and how fucked the fate book system was was interesting.

Yeah, the story system is bad, but the main issue with the villains as it turn out is that they don't care one bit for people with books and only seen blank books as real humans, while everyone else can just lie down and die for all they care.
The ideal would be actually uniting everyone against the story system.
The problem is people with books are basically hostages for the Storyteller. Don't follow the book? Your entire world is doomed. Where would they go if they decide to rebel?

Basically this If they don't follow the story and their books of fate they get destroyed. Only the fateless can move between story zones and survive.
Hopefully if the new fully 3D game gets an anime we'll see each other again.

If they leave their original worlds they would be basically the same as fateless people, wouldn't they? We would haven't seen the people themselves cracking, just their worlds. They'd need to get everyone to leave though since that zone would certainly be completely destroyed after something like that.
Pretty sure they said only blank books can go beetween worlds. And even if people with fates could leave their worlds, you have a refugee issue.
Other worlds may not have the resources for so many people coming in. And the land beetween worlds didn't seem to be a place anyone can live in since it's basically all mist
The villains don't care about their problems and the good guys pretend their problems don't exist.
Fateless people can convert others into becoming like them. If Cinderella wasn't so set on her fantasy, she could have easily ran away with Ex as explained in the show. Of course, this can only lead to problems happening down the line since there isn't really a place for people like them to live like you said.
