Her role was being a tomboy-ish cool girl that could interact with Manaka like "one of the guys" but she was slowly reduced to a one-note character that did absolutely nothing other than try to "win" with sex appeal. I don't like Aya, but at least she tried to connect emotionally with Manaka. Satsuki didn't deserve shit.

Given the story progression, Satsuki's lack of development with Manaka made zero sense. The author realized early on that Satsuki had more of a relationship with Manaka than the other two and did her best to ignore it for the rest of the series by making Satsuki a joke.

The fact that it also got a Live Action movie last year and the fact that Chitoge keeps appearing in Jump games, not to mention all of these romcoms like Bokuben that keep popping up in Jump says a lot about the impact Nisekoi left on Jump.
