Do you actually buy manga and support your favorite manga and the authors?

Do you actually buy manga and support your favorite manga and the authors?
Please don't tell me you're a leech who reads everything for free.
Please don't tell me you blame the japs for having shit taste when your favorite manga get axed.

>Sick mom
For some reason I don't believe him.
But yeah if there was a better option to buy/support artists without going through some middle man like Funimation/CR or Fakku (Hentai related) I would.

I'm about to start doing that, but I'm dropping a lot of money on the PE exam this month so I can't right now.

censorship is my fetish

I do.
But only for stuff I want more of like re:zero or no game no life.
I must ensure isekai will never die, and shonen does.

>Don't be like Kaguya-sama's fans
Oh, I see that it's actual scanlators that are creating unnecessary drama and trying to push fanbase wars. I bet they are also the otterposters in the threads too. Very nice to know that you are trying soooooooo hard to make yourself and what you TL relevant by attacking directly, it's very intelligent.

There's a point when this kind of stuff becomes as much of a cancer as the shit they are attacking, and this clearly is at that point, such faggots.

>pay money to read 3 pages of semi-clothed goodness before everything gets removed for the usual 15 pages of boring naked sex
>or pay no money and only get the cover and some preview pages, which are the best fapbait anyway
the choice is yours and yours alone

if i like the series and the run has ended, yeah buy the entire vols even better if its one of those mega tanks collections

If i had the money i would.

Mentally ill post.
Please take your Risperidone before posting on this board.

I don't pay money for digital goods and shipping prices from japan are retarded.

t. kaguya-sama's fan

I have no fucking idea what you're talking about and I'm certainly not as mentally-ill as those who think that attacking people who like something else to try to be cheeky is a clever thing to do, especially since manga-reading and anime-reading people have an IQ lower than average and are very easily influenced by people.

Yeah, I am a "fan" of Kaguya-sama but what does that change to what I said?

Shounen isekai HxH

He's referring to this.
Look at all those money wasted on useless virtual points.

Attached: this.jpg (539x33, 10K)

Not only I have no fucking idea what you're talking about or what I'm supposed to understand, being aware of whatever's happening on r*ddit and posting shit from there tells me that you must go back there.

You need to go back

I was simply explaining the reference to you. Feel free to keep being a raging, sperging retard, though.

>google jp title + *japanese drawings* + sexy
how the fuck are we supposed to write and compose those jap characters ?
what were they thinking?

I don't normally buy anime or manga because I'm not a faggot.

>Please don't tell me you blame the japs for having shit taste when your favorite manga get axed.
Of course not. My tastes are mass compatible. In fact, I laugh heartily at normalfag retards who actually pay for anime or manga and then complain when their irrelevant contribution is meaningless and Japan ultimately panders to my taste rather than theirs.

Attached: 1549364982660.jpg (300x300, 16K)

>paying for things

If you aren't even capable of finding the Japanese title, you probably won't buy it anyway.

Look at all these moonrunes I can't google! brilliant job for that faggot

reddit fags are so retarded it's hurting. My favourite is when some artist posts his work and people give money to reddit instead of the artist. reddit admins found a brilliant way to earn money on other peoples work thanks to the stupidity of it's user base.

Attached: suicide bun.jpg (1115x1221, 303K)

The funny thing is not even the scanlators got the money from those stupid donations. It's all in the admin's pocket for literally nothing in return for the donators. maybe it's time for Yea Forums gold.

I buy the manga that I really like so yeah.

I usually buy whatever I read / translate, but fuck me, the nips don't make it easy for me to give them money.

>image about buying manga makes a reference to kaguyafags' tendency to finance scanlation monkeys instead of the official books
>"bawww w-why are they attacking us, they must be seething otters!"

This has been tricky to figure out. here's my progress: アスのたち

I buy manga if I can because I'm not an asshole. Usually smaller stuff that's getting translated and isn't super popular, not huge 20 volume works.

Attached: 1551078484360.png (400x400, 179K)

No. And I don't get why the current manga community tries to have the moral high ground by pretending with faux outrage that some scanlation groups are bad (TrashScanlation is the most recent one of the top of my head).

Like nigger, you read stolen manga just like the rest of us. You have no moral high ground. If someone is trying to get money for scans (and a little pocket change) but still releases the scans for the public, you are a douche for getting them shut down.

It's literally the title of the manga, you can just fucking type it into google translate and hit space.

I read online because japs make it a pain in the ass to buy legit. I'm not going to pay shipping for a monthly mag that carries maybe one or two series I want to read, and I'm not going to pay shipping to wait for a volume that may or may not even happen, and I'm not going to pay for all that just to not be able to read it and have the paper clutter up my desktop, and I certainly won't pay funimation to mistranslate for their shit editor's agenda again. I still remember Lucoa under funimation.
If slant-eyes want my money then they can post download links on their website, in whatever language they want, for $1-2 per chapter, and I'll buy those, download them, and read fan translations anyway

I have 3 versions, fan scans, eng release & legitimate JP paperback from my city's Kinokuniya.

>When a group stops translating a manga because of stupid drama

I own every volume of this manga because i like it alot

This fucking retard.

Welp got a little bit further. but fuck this shit. guess i ain't gonna read whatever this threads about.

Good luck to any other anons trying to figure it out.
ア夕スのたち

Who the fuck even pay when tachiyomi exist? How are people so dumb to fall for these scams? They aren't even buying official books from globalwalker.
Is humanity getting dumber and dumber?

It's the first page of a newly released chapter today. It wasn't meant for clueless Yea Forums lurkers who don't read manga.

I really like buying manga, and lately I've been trying to buy manga in Japanese to practice my reading skills, so I do.

never bought manga but when snk is finished i might. but that’s it. nothing else comes close to me wanting to buy physical copies of.

You are just salty because your Japanese level sucks.

What bookcase do you own?

This desu.

As an Asian user I bought a few manga during high school to keep a normal image to my friends and parents. Back in the days its much better to blend in and start a social group when you‘re known as "a person with normal hobbies" rather than "a someone you don‘t know that well".

I bought all of Berserk while I was in prison. Took 3 years bc you make jack shit for wages.

I love buying shitty axed shounen manga (less than 5 volumes) that will never get any fanbase online. like Bakegyamon or Rakugaki Fighter.

out of the country at the moment so this is the best picture i have,
it can hold about 30 ish volumes a row
and its a generatic one which i hadnt personally brought myself so i dont have an ID

Are you Dongovan IRL?

it does but just even if I could theoretically into japanese, I still wouldn't be willing to shit up my apartment with cases of magazines I'll read maybe 3-4 times then move on from. Especially not at current shipping rates

>Bakegyamon
>Lasted less than a year
>5 volumes
>Still got a 50 episode anime

The magic of the mid 00s

Look at it this way. Heres an user sitting in an empty room, and heres another user sitting in a room but with mangas, ps 4, some magazines and a dumbbell. Which one you think who be easier to start a conversation and learn each other better when they invited their friend to their room?

old photo but its this wide

I didn't t even know until today that Bakegyamon had an anime adaptation, and it's stretched like crazy. The magic of being a manga for kids, always getting prime time broadcast.

>mangas

So... you normally wouldn't have anything in your room and just have stuff so you seem like a well adjusted person? I don't get what you're meaning

Attached: 1553569925084.jpg (564x975, 234K)

Bitch Amazon.jp is fucking cheap compared to other shipping companies. Sure I'm going to miss out on some exclusives. But if I can improve my Japanese and support the manga its all Good.

I also want to take a photograph but vast majority of my manga are in my storage inside a huge box right now. I have probably almost 1000 manga from my childhood thanks to dad.

I'm not going out of my way to support what has essentially become a commodity, that I couldn't read anyway

nevermind am retarded. found it.

book depository was a godsend a few years ago . now everywhere is slowly increasing prices, its an absolute pain going to jp and seeing how cheap and compact it is in comparison

Attached: 13e7c1bb-b36d-48c2-b3cd-f6dab9b48469..jpg (2256x4032, 409K)

Kill yourself cr*minal scum.

Thad? how's donovan?

I don't pay for anything and I don't care either

Oof I wanted that, but £50 plus import fees put me off

That was part of my history. When I was a teen there was a period of time where I had no interest in anything particular and therefore having a hard time with people, as people usually don‘t wanna hang out with someone they thought they don‘t understand that well. It was until I starts buying random shits to populate my room and once people thought they‘ve discovered my "hobbies" conversation and making friends became much easier because there‘s something to start a convo with. I even got a figure as birthday present once and Im quite happy about it simply because my friends actually put thoughts into it and bought something they‘ve thought I would like as a present. Just the thought of people think they know you better will help reduces the awkwardness and help friendship build and last.

>paying to see Rem get ignored because she's a much better character than Emilia and the writer can't stand it

>she's a much better character
cheap 1 dimensional waifu bait is never good. I bet you like Miku (5toubun) too.

are you implying that Emilia has more depth than Rem?
I've never read 5toubun

I buy stuff but entirely for selfish reasons (I like seeing the volumes in my library & reading things physical in general) I don't care at all about supporting the author or "the industry" as so many people in the west put it.

OP is a fag beyond measure and should stop making his shitty "scanlation" threads which could've easily been a manga thread.
Having said that I have bought all the berserk volumes till 40 and a couple romcom garbage that I've regrettably enjoyed. Getting a paper back is much better than reading on a screen but the expenses can start stacking up. It is however really nice to be able to just grab a yotsuba volume and read a chapter and not work on a chapter too.

No. I'm just saying Rem is a shit character made for marketing to waifufags who want easy loyal self-sacrifice wife trope.

He's making fun of Kirei cake, had that message on their releases mid chapter for years

50 pounds, what the fuck

I just looked up what people get if they get reddit gold
They get adblock for a whole month on the website

Attached: 1533460805677.jpg (635x351, 36K)

What is this series, the mangaka got me bros
I need to buy the sexy version purely because he won't let me see her tits

seriously? what's the point then?

Knowledge is and shall be free.

She doesn't get ignored in the ln though.

If the manga got translated in my country, sure I buy it, ortherwise, no.

I bought stuff while I am in Japan and I own series just to own them. I got almost all of Vagabond, own all the Devilman hardcover volumes, and want to own all of HxH.
It's just something I kinda buy every so often. If I bought a huge stack each paycheck, I'd be buying more shelves than manga at some point.

If I don't know the series, then I'll read it online for free first. If I end up liking it, I'll buy it. If I don't end up liking it, I won't buy it.
I know, it's a very complex series of procedures.

>imagine paying for anime or manga

If you could into Japanese you'd pirate RAWs and buy Ebooks.

am an SO so yeah

Why should I give them my money?

What if I get stuff for free then recommend it to chumps who don't know how to get free stuff to buy it? I'm sure they get more money this way.

There's a legit incentive here besides "supporting the author".

Attached: color.jpg (759x51, 15K)

Japanese piracy scene is garbage and quality of ebooks ranges from okay at best to awful.

>1200px

Attached: 1552603432433.png (327x333, 118K)

I think I prefer a decent 1200 from kadokawa's 2048.

I would happily buy manga if the options were reasonable. But if you spend 5 bucks on an electronic version of a book that would be 5 bucks in Japan, not only do you get dogshit quality, you get something that's locked to a fucking app half the time, or online readers that don't even let you download so you have to wait 2 seconds for each new page.

The market is just stuck in the stone age, it's sad. The whole of Japan is, their digital distribution is such a fucking joke that I literally watch half my anime on Netflix with a week's worth of delay because they're the SOLE online provider that offers subtitles.

Moral fags have infiltrated our community.

>he doesn't know how to deDRM ebooks

Even if I did, it doesn't fix the awful, awful quality. Most easily accessible online raws are better quality than the official E-book releases that cost actual fucking money.

Great, you can break out of shitty drm that shouldn't exist in the first place. Now you have shitty jpegs or even shittier png captures of shitty jpegs.

Where can I buy アダマスの魔女たち 選りぬきSEXYカラー版 without getting hit by shitty DRM or region blocking?

Attached: B07P13CR1Q.01.S001.LXXXXXXX.png (599x852, 777K)

Eh I can do without it. My bank balance is already in the negative without me buying this stuff.

Yep. It’s pathetic.

Doesn't matter what your reason is, you still support authors by buying their books.

Amazon and Rakuten are always the best choices for bypassing DRM for any ebook.

I'm aware but I also don't want to give the flase impression that I care about that so I wanted to clarify that part.

>Most easily accessible online raws are better quality than the official E-book releases
This is not true. Because ripped raws that you can find online are not only from Ebook releases, but might also be heavily compressed as well.

What, and official releases are lossless?

>might also be heavily compressed as well.
You don't actually lose anything when you're compressing something that's only 100kb in the first place, though.

The difference between the original vs an e-book, and an e-book vs an e-book rip, isn't even comparable. You lose maybe 2% with a rip, meanwhile you lose 50%+ with a fucking E-book.

And this shit costs just as much as physical, and you can't even re-sell it. It's an absolute joke.

No, it's all shit, but surely not worse than ripped ones that you can find online.

>selling your manga ever

It's pretty simple user, online quality is dogshit and shipping is too expensive

>Supporting groups that act like Jews

The ebook quality, and sometimes even resolution, varies between vendors, so rippers usually use the highest quality source available to them. That means that if they're not retarded enough to compress their files any further, what they put out should be better than what some of the stores have to offer.

So in theory, rips should be the highest quality available, but why in practice they're sometimes full potato, is beyond me.

Hope you aren't implying that giving money to drama queen faggots supports them in any shape or form

>so rippers usually use the highest quality source available to them
this is not true. only ripper user does this and he's currently MIA.

Well why don't you go marry him then.

No, I pirate ALL of my media. And I don't seed my torrents.

Famed Japanese pirates and legal digital distributors trying to outshit each other.

Proper canvas rips are lossless as far the pixel data goes, and there are also completely loseless deDRM utilities for some sites.

I buy digitally quite a lot (no clue how little they can from that).
And physical (plus digital) only for things I really, really like since importing to EU is fucking stupid.
