Origami's arc got 6 episodes but you can tell they had problems with the pacing, extending things in certain parts but rushing things a bit in others just because they wanted to end in cliffhangers, however the real problem is the inconsitent art and animation. It's hard to enjoy when you know after a decent looking episode comes a bad looking one but then next one is decent and the cycle repeats again.

Thematically and character-wise it wouldn't make sense for Shidou to choose only a single girl after all he went through and the bonds he formed with some of the girls but this is Tachibana we are talking about. He is willing to completely disregard the narrative if that means making Tohka happy. However, this series has a huge issue with some of the girls of his "harem" being glorified secondary characters like Nia, Natsumi and Miku who don't even see Shidou that way.

S2 BDs were barely an improvement. They fixed most of the QUALITY but the dull color palette, below average animation, inferior art to S1, amount of stills, poor visuals, etc, are still there. It's not like this season has that much QUALITY, what it had was inconsistent art and while this can be fixed I don't expect that much of an improvement in the BDs in the animation department. If anything, most of their resources will go to remake episode 5 that can't be fixed by normal means.
