Mushoku Tensei had an amount of character building that we've never seen before in the isekai genre. The plot became shit after Eris left, but the author really has a way of making me feel connected to the characters that no other isekai has accomplished.

Good/Great worldbuilding makes the world feel 'realistic', in the sense that you could imagine this world to actually exist even though there are components that are clearly not settled in reality.

A popular and generally well received example of, imo, bad worldbuilding is The Hunger Games. (e.g. every district has a singular prominent industry that would disallow producing anything complex)

Those are idol otakus. Isekai fans are mostly shonen manga readers, which is teenagers.

Sure, there's plenty of iffy parts later on, but during the Golden Age arc in Berserk the world felt real, thriving, and it felt massive.

Firstly, he's far from invincible. At this point of the story, any of the stronger beings can simply crush him if they wished to do so. It's just that they do not view him as a threat or an obstacle in their plans yet due to his pacifist policy.

The source material is a continuous story, so there just isn't a good place to end it really unfortunately, so it's more of an adaptation problem than anything. To be fair though, that's also why this will gets a second season so fast. It's possible that the second season will show some of the content that has been skipped.

I mean you're not wrong, but it has a sort of weird nostalgia to it that I only recently managed to figure out the source of.
It took me a while for it to hit me what it reminded me of, but in a lot of ways it's basically Anime Babar. While sure it's not a good show, that similarity makes me feel relaxed while watching literally nothing happen for 20 minutes, and sometimes that's fine.
Though honestly that cartoon elephant probably still had more challenges than the slime.
