Though, you could always watch Boogiepop Phantom if you need more.

you're trying way too hard faggot
Learn how to quote faggot
Too hard?
I was simply stating my opinion. At least be clever like when you try to insult me.
yeah, my mistake this (You) was for
I want to do unspeakable things to Smuggiepopu
The idea of a vaguely confused Boogiepop just flipping out and trying to kill toukas mom amuses me.

You are...AN ENEMY OF THE WORLD
>AAAAAHHHHHH-
BOOGIEPOP PUNCHU!!!
Shinbou should've done, you know it.
I want to kiss Touka while tries to get away only to be pushed back down and have my hands run up her sweater and past her bra as she squirms under me.
I want to corner Touka in an alleyway and rip open her blouse to reveal her boogiebra and fondle her boogiebreasts while she looks for a way out.
SNOW
I want to pin Boogiepop to the bed while her parents are sleeping and tie her hands behind her back. I want to slowly remove her nightgown, the one she has grown out of and is just a bit too small that it shows the uppermost portions of supple thighs. As she shouts out for her parents I want to take that stupid boogiehat and shove it in her boogiemouth so she can only make small whimpering noises.
Imaginator is so fucking majestic
Too bad this series won't see April
That was a pretty beautiful scene desu.
I want to massage her panties with my tongue, stroking deeper with each thrust and listen to her soft and panicked noises behind that stupid hat until i hear a soft laugh.
>are you an enemy of the world?
Barely understandable through the stupid hat still stuck in her smug mouth. I stop as her previously tender chunnie thigh muscles grip my head and tongue as i realize that I'm browsing a cantonese turtle carving forum and ill never have a boogiepop gf.
Fugg.
>last episode
Fuck
>I can't let you do this
King of Distortion did nothing wrong
I still have hope for a movie
Everything good must end
I wish I had your optimism
This is Aoi Yuuki's best role by a fucking mile her Boogiepop voice is fucking heaven.
As for the anime, I thought it was okay I liked the man eater part the best.
I still wish they would have ended last episode on "I am the real King of Distortion

Extended version of the first PV.
That would have created some great reactions
Still weird to me how and they made a high quality teaser that has basically nothing to do with the show
I think one of the staff mentioned that they did it to bait people into watching the show because the show's concept was a hard sell. I can't blame them though seeing as to how atypical it is.
>I liked the man eater part the best.
Nothing less than expected from your shit taste
I really whis it could be announced a Phantom like Ova/movie whatever in which Natsume with decent production i wichh he could do what he wanted with the universe without being a direct adaptation.
>2 hours
>we'll get the amazing theme
>but it's the last episode
fuck
>2hrs
But it usually releases in 4hrs right?
Also i want to snuggle with snuggiepop.
>This is Aoi Yuuki's best role by a fucking mile her Boogiepop voice is fucking heaven.
I agree with you here
Boogie is ugly. Should've chosen Nagi's body instead of Touka.
shut up saotome
>Should've chosen Nagi's body instead of Touka.
I can't believe there are still people thinking it's a possession
1 hour
I like the DVD covers

But enough about what I want. What do you want Touka-chan?
I can only IMAGINE you're dying to tell me once I pull that stupid hat from you mouth.

Oh yeah that guy existed
>they cut the smile
I am upset
CUTE
Shiro/KoD just really loves messing with Kentarou it seems
>where is Boog
What did Takeda say to boogie at the end?
The most upsetting thing is that they added another scene at the end where it would have fitted as well and just faded to black
Atleast they alluded to it
KINO
The KoD falling was a great addition especially as a fake out "death"
Was distracted there sadly.
Probably that he wants to fuck boogie
well who doesn't. His crush on Nagi makes him immensly bulliable

where is my season 2 announcement
Maybe someday, on its 50th birthday or something. It would be nice if we get more though.

It's time
tl;dr of the show
When it comes to the characters, the focus should have been on showing the inner thoughts through animation, but instead, they just say it like pretentious snobs. The “show, don’t tell” approach is barely used so it’s not surprising that you don’t get wooed by its attempts at intellectual babble. They even have them telling the plot which is yet another sign of a poorly written story. Exposition is everything in Boogiepop wa Warawanai that the experience is less entertaining than watching paint dry on a wall. It has interesting elements and concepts but they are executed in such a disorderly manner that they end up feeling like undercooked ideas. It’s bloated with them: Aliens, ‘imaginators’, sterile clones sent to breed with real humans, ‘flowers’ inside of humans, people with the ability to control minds, shady orginizations, etc. Great fiction can blend various ideas and genres but this show feels like someone pulling ideas out of the ass and stuffing it back in without having the thought of laying a proper foundation for the plot.
MAL-tier
>they cut out the reason why KoD appeared as Saotome.
Now I'm actually upset
I love this
Best girl
I laughed, shit is simple indeed.
BIGGEST FAN
>the focus should have been on showing the inner thoughts through animation
As well as conveying the tone of the original through aesthetic touches and direction.

Fuck off Phantomfag
Now I want more.
That was super good, I love this anime.
>It's over
Time to consider suicide again.
Wait, this is the finale? Fuck.
Would this be a good show to have on my 2nd monitor as I "play" Civ 5?
Kill yourself
wow bud tone down the hostility.
>tfw it's over
Nigga got reversed therapy.
No. Not unless you've already seen it before.
And even then, it'd be better to just have the soundtrack playing in the background rather than episodes of the anime.
This fall sequence takes way too much bitrate to properly encode in webm
>that smile
He's a good boy
He didn't do nothing
King bowlcut an hero himself? Man, pretty shit life to be born and meet boogie. Sound like being a towa henchman is a better life.
I recommend watching the episode to the end
That animation and cinematography looks sick.
Nice, he seems to have some fun power to fuck people around with.
Kentarou is just very easy to bully
Highly Based
>tfw touka didnt put out in boogie dumb getup.
Ok
>new season in 20 years
It was a decent episode, but I didn't like some of the changes (like cutting out the smile he gives Sakiko).
All in all, it was okay though.
We're all going to make it
Changing that smile to Takeda works better.
more angry about the Nitokii cut
>Changing that smile to Takeda works better.
Not, it doesn't.
Yes it does
AOTS confirmed
No
So KoD is the one who loves endless 70s rock jam? Not the wealthy dead guy?
Honestly, I'm disappointed about this episode. Imaginator arc managed to show results at the end. But KoD is the polar opposite. I don't think they cooked source materials well.
No. The wealthy guy loves rock.
>Imaginator arc managed to show results at the end. But KoD is the polar opposite.
What
there will be second season r-right boogiebros?
Yes for the 40th or 30th anniversary
Does she ever become evil?
His power is far more insane than that. He basically forces people to confront their biggest trauma and level up. For normalfags, it just fixes their emotional problems, but for certain people it will force them to evolve like how the kid started manifesting Zooragi. He's like Kirima except he doesn't have to bother writing books to draw out MPLS.
Boogie stopped him because he would have turned everyone in the Moon Temple into gold, potentially awakening numerous metahumans and causing a huge incident. However, the King will always have the possibility of showing up again to make the world shine.
I really liked this show, didn't really like this last king of distortion arc though, too convoluted / too many characters for my bird brain.
No. You can't tell from the anime because they butchered the scene, but all she wanted to tell Boogie is she would like to see her again. That's why the scene in the novel ends with him given her a genuine smile.
Pretty sure Boogie showed up because Zooragi was going out of control
*to see him again
>they didn't adapt this scene
kill me
Yeah, pretty much. I think I didn't quite get the last arc.
Why would she. She's just thirsty for the Boogie dick
>And found Boogiepop forcing open the doors to the elevator. The elevator itself wasn’t there, just a sheer drop to the bottom.
>“Um…!” I said.
>It turned towards me and said, “Hello.”
>“Is… is it over?”
>“Yes. There’s no more need for me.”
>“Oh…”
>I considered asking who it had killed, but it didn’t seem like the right time.
>“Farewell,” Boogiepop said, and turned back to the elevator.
>I panicked. I felt like I had to say something else.
>“Um…! Er, well…”
>“What is it?”
>“W-will I see you again?”
>Boogiepop looked rather surprised. “I believe you should be hoping you never see me again.”
>It had a point.
>But I stuck to my guns.
>“Th-then…if… just if. If I become your enemy?”
>“Mm?”
>“L-Like you said, this world isn’t always good. But…I… I still think… I may not be great, but, but even so, I want the world to revolve around good things. That’s not the way you think, is it? So I might still become your enemy.”
>I wasn’t even sure what I was saying myself.
>“………”
>Boogiepop stared back at me, saying nothing. I met that gaze, and kept on talking.
>“I-If I do become your enemy, will you appear before me again? Is that a way I could meet you?”
>“You do not fear the reaper?” it said, amused.
>“Nope! Not one bit!” I said, laughing at myself.
>A moment later, I felt like I saw something genuinely unusual. Something few people have ever witnessed.
>Boogiepop smiled.
No more Boogie. I feel so sad.
Yeah, it was pretty disappointing.
where the fuck is my season 2/movie announcement
I'm retarded, why does Boogiepop end up in that space again?
There are some good/ish quotes here and there, but the show is boring and hard to care about.
You have pretty shit taste.
It's not literal
Will the KoD ever come back? Will Towa find out about him and have him eliminated?
Sort of. Zooragi was only going to manifest because of the King's influence. If the King had kept going, he would have become an enemy of the world because of that potential to cause others to become enemies of the world. Boogie tells him to reconsider that shit because the King was just acting without a determined purpose and so he goes away.
>I'm retarded, why does Boogiepop end up in that space again?
It was an anime-only scene so don't think about it. It's filler, basically.
Zooragi only was a problem because KoD was just born.
Who knows no other novels translated besides Pandora.
>boogie Fridays are over
Fuck, there's no other show where I can get my dose of chuunism without it being edgy anymore.
That ghostly Suiko is ultra cute.
>She's just thirsty for the Boogie dick
I think we all became Sakiko at one point. Can't blame her, I want Boogie to dominate me using those wires
>Sequel never
>Nagi spin-off never
>More novel's translation never
Fuck.
I want that fire witch to step on me.
I feel like this show dropped to the level of first 3 episodes again.
Important scenes in the original were skipped or changed to boring ones.
It tends to happen when anime directors / writers think they know better than the original author.
That's wrong there was exactly one big thing that was cut and one that was changed.
Boogie smiling being to Takeda works better. And Inchou not having the reason why Saotome is her KoD is sad but honestly not that important
Which is essentially the entire point Boogie makes to King, stop fucking with random people because it'll lead to all sorts of havoc when someone with an abnormal potential gets their pain turned into gold.
>Fuck bros, I don't want Spooky Boogie Fridays to go away.
fucking cringe
got outside, incel
...
Did they even get together in LN? I wonder what sex with Kirima Nagi is like. Is she the dominatrix type or does she go on full lewd ~dere mode?
>Boogie smiling being to Takeda works better
That's your opinion. The fact is Sakiko's scene was butchered and doesn't even make sense anymore. Whether you like it or not, it's a fuck up.
>Did they even get together in LN?
He's not old enough.
>not having the reason why Saotome is her KoD
So why was he her KoD?
10/10, the animation was nice too
Because he said she was cute and had beautiful eyes while no one had said similar "romantic" things to her.
Basically she had to accept that Saotome's feelings for her were similar to her feelings for Takeda
>“I really should have noticed the moment you appeared, in that place, at that time. I mean, that’s when you said the thing that stuck with me.”
>“Something Saotome Masami said?”
>“That’s right. Just an off-handed comment. It went in one ear and out the other and I’d completely forgotten it until now. But—if we go with your way of thinking, that may well be because I wanted that to not be true, because I was trying to preserve my idea of who he was. Maybe I intentionally tried to forget about it.”
>“I see,” The King of Distortion nodded. “You’ve put a lot of thought into this, and it’s very consistent. So far. But what, specifically, did he say?”
>“You said, ‘Do you know how good that feels?’ Right after you’d killed Kirima Nagi. I didn’t want to understand, and I said as much. And when I challenged you, you said it.”
>“Beautiful, president. I love your eyes. I love strong-willed, powerful eyes.”
>I looked right at Saotome Masami’s face.
>“I’ve never gone out with a guy. I don’t hate boys or anything. I just haven’t had the opportunity. So… so in a way, you were my first. The first to ever say anything like that to me. You were the first to say anything in the ballpark of ‘You’re cute!’ ‘I love you!’ Anything like that.”
>“………”
>“But your version was sickening. Given what you were up to, there was no way I could happily accept that. So I did my best not to think about it. But, deep down, I knew.”
>“Knew what?”
>“That you meant it. That you weren’t just mocking me. In that moment, you were definitely in love with me. But to me, that was just terrifying.”
>I sighed.
>“I never wanted to know how unsettling love could be. But…”
>I looked up.
>“But that’s the truth. I accept that your feelings were real, and I reject them completely.”
>This man with Saotome Masami’s face glared at me.
>But then he shrugged, and smiled.
I don't know about further on, but in one of the portions of At Dawn that got cut from the show, she does think of him as an impressive person who solved the Moon Temple incident without help. He's at least got a shot.
>solved the Moon Temple incident without help
That's good one. Stupid Nagi.
I mean, he got pretty close. If you consider the lockdown of the Moon Temple and the King of Distortion as separate incidents, he got 95% of the way to the end and only had to have someone else enter the code because the King trapped him again. Even as far as the King was concerned, he recognizes the illusion before anyone else and breaks out multiple times without using the easy way out (successfully turning pain to gold) that Niitoki uses.
I AM IN LOVE WITH THE CLASS PREZ
>easy way out
What Kei did is not the easy way out. It's the hardest thing to do. To be able to recognize the source of your pain or anxiety and overcome it on your own. It takes a very special person to do that, and Kei is definitely much more impressive a person than Habara. He used his wits to find shorcuts and easy way outs, which is why he doesn't overcome his source of anxiety at the end (e.g: he still doesn't have enough self-confidence to confess to Nagi).
I was being a bit facetious in calling that the easy way out. I label it that way because it's the surefire way to get released from the illusion, whereas Habara just wills himself out by directly challenging the "strength" of the illusion's hold.
>password is stairway to heaven
>doesn't start blasting Led Zeppelin
DROPPED
Kei chose the song to please Boogie.
just got omnibus 1 and 2
when does 3 come out?
>easy way out (successfully turning pain to gold)
That's not the easy way out. That's the win condition to his life because he'd actually manage to ask out Nagi afterwards
>when does 3 come out?
You're going to get a lot of gold out of this
never ever
Filthy gaijins don't deserve translations
So that's how the best anime of this season ends, not with a bang but with a pop and unfitting music.
Trust me, I was rooting for him to actually beat the King's game from the first scene in the cafe because of that. This volume was the only one I was dissatisfied with the ending because he failed. Shiro really needs to distort him some more as a service to his friend.
I was really disapointed too. I figured that would have been the first then when i seen the password.
Please have sex.
Kentarou is probably too important to complete his character arc that soon.
They keep translating 主体 as body. What the fuck is wrong with this translator? They can't be this retarded, dammit.
>They can't be this retarded
That's a lot of wishful thinking user.
>Intro of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg
>ever unfitting
kentarou is sexier in the light novel. why did they make him ugly?
>kentarou is sexier in the light novel.
user what.
I can't even tell which one is him and which one is Shiro
I'm about to pick the novel from the goddess, but somebody said the files are broken or something, should I just wait for someone to upload the omnibus?
Also why are volume 4 and 5 missing?
I had to scrunge it together from the goddess and AB.
For the same non-reason they made Tanaka a super-dork instead of normal as well. The character designer has no other credits for character design among a bunch of animation credits and Shingo was apparently asleep at the wheel for most of the project and only woke up to put together a cool preview and the At Dawn section.
But honestly when was the last time you looked at the LN designs?
Because you can't honestly say they are good or atleast distinctive
I have the 6 volumes. Volumes 1, 2, 4 and 5 are digital releases and look pretty good. 3 and 6 are OCR and don't look so good but it's all we have until someone uploads the digital versions.
In any case, I can upload them to rapidshare or something if you want.
He looks a lot sexier in anime.
Shirou is on the left.
Shiro is the blond one
I just started the novels
If you would be so kind.
I looked at it just before that post. I've had the omnibuses sitting next to me the entire time I've been posting today. I like the LN art precisely because the normal people look like normal people. The anime designs are just sort of halfway between livening up the characters to make them distinct and allow their personalities to show and being blandly uninspired. Also, holy fucking shit what was wrong with the faces of so many of the characters in this arc? How did the designs for Kyouichiro get approved?
Shit makes me mad because they couldn't include this due to being skipped on the Manticore arc
Jfc sometimes I hate this adaptation
here's what tanaka looks like
I am the only one unable to see that image in the episode?
I honestly don't see much of a problem with the faces this arc besides maybe Makoto's mother but there I am not sure whether it was intended
I wanted to see the conversation between nagi and kentaro at least. It is heartwarming.
And I was fool enough to believe that "nagi's style" episode from at dawn would be inserted into somewhere in the ending part even a little bit
>t. didn't read Akio's chapter
And neither did original character designer.
This is orihata
I like her more when she's voicing genki characters but her voice as Boogiepop was 10/10 indeed.
10/10 would impregnate
good luck. I doubt you'd be succesful
some reason Saotome is ugly tho
>no S2
>no smug Boogiepop girlfriend
I can feel the distortion in my heart already.
>But the other one, this first year kid, looked like a child. He was a baby-faced pretty boy, yet kinda ordinary
this scene looks gorgeous
Thank you kind user.
is Our Boy finally going to get laid?
>Looks pretty similar to the manga design
>They decide to make her fuck ugly in the anime
I will never not be mad.
Yes, I was talking about that.
sakugabooru.com
I can,t see Naoko face in the episode is only me.?
Maybe
Damn, it's a good thing the Imaginator never found him.
Why do you want your Public Toilet to look nice?
Imaginator manga bases a lot of its designs on Ogata's drawings which are often contradictory to text descriptions.
he keeps saying it
Yes the truth.
Ying-yang scarf is a lie
He's right though.
>Main purpose is to breed with human men
>Make her as ugly as possible so that she can't
orihata is described as hot in the light novel
>Main purpose is to breed with human men
Not actually confirmed that she was designed specifically for that mission.
Also she is less ugly in the anime that in LN.
Wait how did she know this is Boogie's song?
And she's hot in the anime
Boogie is always playing or whistling it
>manga design
What manga retard? You mean LN right.
Boogie whistled it when they met before. Now, how the fuck everyone happens to know that song in order to recognize it is another matter entirely.
don't lie to yourself, user
>dumb lesbian becomes an enemy of the world just to see boogie again
You're the retard. user meant the manga adaptation of Vs Imaginator. It was published last month.
Niitoki is cuter than Nagi
>she thinks boogie is a guy and wants his dick
>lesbian
That's pretty rude user.
She's also one of the most emotionally resilient characters in the franchise.
So who was the kid's father? Obviously wasn't Teratsuki since he was a synthetic human? Probably not important and his mom was just a slut to not know who knocked her up.
you misspelled Touka there, user
Boogie/Touka is the cutest
She might be cute but Nagi is hot.
Why would you lie like that?
Well that's pretty obvious, Nagi is handsome and sexy rather than cute.
I don't want it to be over Yea Forums
That childish hairstyle fit her really well.
wrong
Yeah but she can't compete with loli nagi
In the novel his mother explicitly said she fucked a ton of dudes. She just wanted to believe Teratsuki was the father, but it could be anyone.
Literally just a random guy.
buy the books
It's over user, the snow is already melting. We'll try to break through again in 20 years.
Why can't anyone in this show stay on their feet?
>the snow is already melting
This should have ended next week for maximum pottery.
teratsuki did nothing wrong
He fucked a lot of dumb sluts. Like that chick with the biggest ears in the world.
SOON
ywn see Nagi come out fresh from the shower scene animated. Feels bad man.
if you couldn't knock up anyone, you would too
so won't towa try to kill the poor sap who watched his video?
So do they ever fuck?
IMAGINE
why is nagi such a slut and into old men
I'd think I'd at least have some standards and not fuck a chick with ears that big.
Nooooo, it's over.
No. He's not old enough. Also, he never grows the balls to ask her.
Is he also immune to STD's?
Towa doesn't know about it. Eugene didn't care what he was doing, he was just there to kill the guy.
i was expecting a 10/10 AOTY but only got a 7/10 so i'm a bit dissapointed, but i enjoyed it nonetheless
damn, Masaki is lucky
Time to become an enemy of the world, maybe then I can see Boogie for real.
they should just do some audio books where boogie keeps talking about stuff. I love the weird cadence
I see now
If we want more Boogiepop, we have to become enemies of the world by orchestrating the societal changes necessary to force another season to be made.
because she has a father complex
Any plans?
reminds me a bit of Akisora
The trauma from your past has caught up with you and caused you to awaken, whats your power Yea Forums? Are you an enemy of the world?
probaly
delete your torrents after the download is complete
Why is Eugene so bad at his job?
>gets told to kill the guy
>kills the guy
he did a good job
Is there some problems with the raws?. because in the scene in which Tanaka falls the flashback in which he remembers Naoko is very blurred in the Horriblesubs, and also in the raws.
But in Sakugabooru in the same scene you can see her face much better. They says that is taken from crunchyroll.
What the fuck happened?.
I suggest demonstrating the potential of organizing mass psychic power by raising the April snowfall average somewhere and then holding the world hostage by threatening to create droughts and floods in key farmland areas.
And I'm only partially joking
I'm pretty sure I turned all of that to gold already.
I want a season 2 so bad.
I need to see and hear boogie again.
Post a screenshot already you fucking plebbitor.
For that he'd need to grow the balls to ask her out.
Did you fuck with your madvr settings?
season 2 by jc staff
I was watching it in Daum Potplayer, i changed to media player classic and it goes well now , tank you.
DELETE
When's the next OPM season we can hijack
I'd take it. They used to be good at this sort of show, surely they could do it again?
I'll take it just to know what happens next.
I really liked how Kei was calling him Boogie at the end.
I noticed that too
>neither ED or OP in the final episode
Godamnit
Kei best girl.
>no ed
>instead we get a shit song
sasuga, madhouse
Standars are a pretty name for excuses you create for why you're not fuking anyone.
Uh, I'm not fucking anyone because no one wants to fuck me? I don't know what you're calling me out on here, buddy.
2044
kek. as long as they get the atmosphere right, i'm in.
What would you rate this adaption?
9/10 unironically
GOLD
I wish it were slightly better. Then it would be a masterpiece.
That shot was really cool. Based KoD.
And Others: 3/10, there should be an official apology for how terribly it was butchered
Returns: 6/10, at least it wasn't as bad as the first three episodes
At Dawn: 7/10, too bad the entire project wasn't managed this well but it still lacks the flair necessary to convey the original tone and message of the LNs and they still cut too much content
Overdrive: 6/10, you can really tell which scenes were done by competent staff and which ones were outsourced to the idiots who were used to get And Others out the door
Above average compared to most trash that airs, but a disappointment in terms of what could be done with the material. Even their own troll preview and the best parts of At Dawn and Overdrive show how great it could have been.
6/10
>7.5/10 as an adaption
>10/10 as a show itself.
First anime I've followed weekly in years and personally considered the darkhorse show of the season, possibly the year. Don't leave us for years again this time, Boogie.
At dawn was 9/10, rest was a solid 7, some parts of vs. Imaginator were 8.
This, more or less. Dawn was helped by dropping all at once; I don't think the weekly wait did this show any favours.
6/10 the first arc, 7/10 the second, 8/10 the third, and 9/10 the last one.
6/10 first arc
9/10 second arc
9/10 third arc
7/10 last arc
A high 8/10 anime.
>6/10 first arc
>6/10 the first arc
>an entire character's perspective, roughly 10% of the entire LN, was cut and therefore obscured the characterization of the girl central to the arc
>in addition to other miscellaneous cuts
>all mention of sex completely sanitized, largely due to that major cut
>almost nothing done to try to convey the full subtext from the LN's prose stylistically or even by directly including inner monologue
>pacing completely eschewed in order to grind out the gimped form of the material in as few episodes as possible
>an embarrassingly bad portrayal of the climax with janky animation, poor quality, and not even an attempt to show the manticore damaged by the EM discharge
The first arc was disgusting. 6/10 is way beyond what it deserves.
Takeda is so fucking lucky
her eyes are so spread apart that she looks like alien on that cover.
As a show 9/10
As an adaptation 7/10
Now I really need a Mahou Shoujo Smoogie Boogie transformation scene.
On the positive side the anime vastly improved manticore feeding by making it actual eating instead of licking and turning into smoke.
Also that perspective was utterly irrelevant
What if he becomes an enemy of humanity
He totally fits his role as trophy boyfriend.
>Also that perspective was utterly irrelevant
Maybe if you're a brainlet
>I'm pretty picky when it comes to girls, but I could tell she had on makeup that subtly made her eyes look bigger. But it was natural makeup, so that the teachers would never notice. It was also obvious that she worked pretty hard at making herself always look cheerful.
>She let out a big puff of smoke. Her manner was the polar opposite from a moment before.
His perspective adds all of the depth to her character because he saw her in ways that none of the others did. This was vital to reinforcing the general theme of human suffering in society and how it is dealt with, ignored, overcome, or alleviated. It turns her from being just an eccentric, nice person into a more realized character whose compassion can be viewed as the real deal. Of course, that tied into a lot of the high school atmosphere stuff that the anime basically failed to capture at all.
The first arc was a garbage adaption. There's just no two ways about it.
>>And Others: 3/10, there should be an official apology for how terribly it was butchered
It does feel like the rest of the show was just doing it's best to make up for how bad it was. First impressions are important and it might have had one of the worst first episodes of any anime I've watched.
At least it was acceptable after that and had a few decent episodes.
i´m honestly glad to hear that. i´m fucking bored and have 3 days off so i figured i give that a watch but the first episode send me into snooze mode pretty hard.
That was a rather strong last episode in my opinion. I liked the final confrontation more than in the book and KoD creating a world for Takeda and Boogiepop to meet was a nice touch.
Manticore was the only bad arc, and I wish the quality was more consistent throughout, but if that's the price we pay for 18 episodes I can compromise.
Overdrive >= At Dawn >> Imaginator >>> Manticore
Overall 8/10.
Episode 1 was good
It was 2 and 3 that were bad
It's worth at least getting to the second arc to see how that does for you. If you don't find that worth it it's probably safe to drop and never think about again.
will do
Jinbros RISE UP
AAAAAHHH STOP GODDAMMIT
I go back and forth on whether acceptable is applicable to any part of the adaption. Even At Dawn cut the entire "present day" Nagi story that tied together the theme of evolving through the next generation and gave some extra epilogue material for Returns and Overdrive. It might have been neat to have her remark about Habara resolving a big incident on his own actually come up before Overdrive for the anime crowd, although it was a thought of hers rather than dialogue so it probably wouldn't have made it into the show even if that story line had.
There were just so many omissions and changes that alter how the material is received that I have a hard time calling it acceptable even if the animation and art improved quite a bit after And Others. One of the things that comes to mind is Spooky E not licking his palms before brainwashing people. It seems like a pointless detail, but in the LNs it really got across just how repulsive and vile he is.
Where can I download the OST?
If Kotoe was as bold as Suiko, she would have scored Jin's dick years ago.
No she wouldn't because she's only sad and not in despair.
God, Jin is such a faggot.
Post smiles that have been protected
>April is coming
I'm expecting a few Boogie threads to show up during the month and for anons to post pictures if it snows where they live.
What did Jin do after he got Boogied? Just went back to his old life like nothing happened?
She protected her own smile
No, he teamed up with another MPLS and tried do some shit again, but I think it was good shit this time.
what happened to the faggot from imaginator arc?
So many smiles protected.
Post smiles you couldn't protect
He got brainwashed into heterosexuality and even got a girlfriend. Then he started crying because deep down he knew it was bullshit.
And that's it. We never get to see what happened afterwards. Did he managed to recover his memories or just kept on living his unhappy heterosexual life? No one knows.
i want more ;-;
DID NOTHING WRONG
Serves him right for being a creep.
Daily reminder that pic related did absolutely nothing wrong.
Exactly just free councelling and life improvement for everyone.
Besideres Kentarou because Kentarou is a pussy
>barely any Nagi this arc
fug
She has another arc almost all to herself later on. And she has a full spinoff series focused on herself too.
>Besideres Kentarou because Kentarou is a pussy
Stop bullying him
No
But they are bros
And Shiro/KoD clearly loves bullying him
>cute chuuni gf
He truly is
How is this different from the LN part of nyaa.si
Actually I just checked myself, 3-6 are byte-for-byte the same, 1-2 look the same but the torrent version is bigger.
>nyaa has something goddess doesn't
you can't make this shit up
Volumes 1 and 2 from that mega upload are digital versions. The ones from Nyaa are shitty OCR.
The quality is totally different.
Final verdict: Imaginator was good, rest was meh.
w-will I ever see you again, boogiebros?
No.
Watching Boogiepop wouldn't have been half as fun if it wasn't with you Yea Forums, I love you all.
Even if threads are made in April, they will be archived away in the shadow of a new season of anime. They will never accumulate posts.
I want Boogie to end my life
Then become and enemy of the world. You can do that, can't you user?
if it's not getting animated, it doesn't matter
>t.boogie
I can't cope bros I need more Nagi-neesan.
I'm glad it's over.
Question: Was this worth getting both Madhouse and Natsume to work on it instead of OPM S2?
Don't give a fuck about OPM.
Duly noted.
Boogiepop is good while OPM is shit
Since the Murata version of OPM is a big pile of disappointment after the Boros arc, yes, it was immensely worth it. Madhouse didn't add much to my impression of the show besides making me a bit biased since they're my favorite studio and it's slowly pulling itself out of the slump.
The show could have been much better animated seeing as to how so many talented animators worked on it but I'm pretty sure the fuckers at Kadokawa did not give them enough time to reach their true potential. The character design kerfuffle couldn't have helped as well.
The obvious potential missed by the lackluster first episode convinced me to order the LNs, so I consider it worth it. I don't think that's really a fair comparison though, because we could easily say that they would have fucked up OPM2 just as hard as they fucked up Boogiepop anyway.
Hopefully, the ultimate effect of this will be to get us some more Boogiepop, whether that be better quality anime or more LN translations. If anything like that happens, then it will be even more worth it. The best we could hope for is an OVA re-do of And Others that isn't total garbage.
>Unlikely to get an Alita:Battle Angel sequel
>Even more unlikely to get Boogiepop season 2
This timeline is shit
Who cares about fucking "le epic punching baldy"? Murata already ruined it.
>season 2 by jc staff
Depends on the director
>7.5/10 as an adaption
>10/10 as a show itself.
Funnily enough, I kind of got that impression from the 2000 anime as well. I've heard it wasn't really all that faithful an adaptation, but in terms of the atmosphere and the way it conveyed that sense of existential angst and feeling of societal "wrongness" in Japan at the time it was brilliant.
>season 2 by jc staff
If you ask me, considering how Boogiepop demands character animation and nuance to convey the mundane, KyoAni could have pull this off easily 10 times over
>This is Aoi Yuuki's best role by a fucking mile her Boogiepop voice is fucking heaven.
Lel Douche showing good taste for once
>I liked the man eater part the best.
But still being Lel Douche in the end.
I'm missing it already. Fuck this gay earth.
>I've heard it wasn't really all that faithful an adaptation
Boogiepop Phantom isn't an adaptation, it's a side story with questionable canonicity
I want to feel up the boogiebutt
My isp blocked posting for the last few weeks so im glad i could get back to posting for the finale.
This show was excellent and i loved the atmosphere. Like a lighter version of darker than black (which was my first anime).
Thanks for posting lads.
>can't even hit the bump limit on the final ep
well at least this meant most of the brainlets left
So why was Saotome her KoD? i need to know
...
>Doujin of Boogie femdoming Takeda with maximum smug never
>Doujin of Nagi gangbang'ed by thugs never
Fuck this gay earth.
why delet
>Doujin of Nagi gangbang'ed by thugs never
Just give us Scarecrow taking advantage of her.
Being a chuunifag in the modern age really is suffering
I wish the entire show was directed and animated like that scene
Boogiepop Phantom was better, there I said it.
Seems like iincho has achieved popularity.
Then, if there is a slight possibility of season 2, they can try to skip over widely and adapt vol19.
We'll be able to see her do a good job as in KoD and morever her turning evil for a short while.
Because this time from first to finish they roughly dealt with the originals, the order dosen't matter anymore. After all, should have focused on only cute or cool characters or gorgeous battles etc, dear madhouse.
repost, because there was a wrong spelling. 僕は英語が下手な日本人だから、少し間違ました。
Read the fucking LNs
7.5/10
Good stuff, but doesn't live up to the source. Also lots of small animation flaws and the like doesn't help.
I wish the whole show looks like this instead.
youtu.be
>one slight move can slice it clean off
hot
Just to be sure I got it right
>Teratsuki wanted to create KoD
>Creates Moon Temple with all the shit needed
>Needs only a "vessel" capable to evolve
>Through the destiny lottery Shirou get selected
>Starts to evolve into KoD once he gets close
Missed something?
>Teratsuki wanted to create KoD
No, he just wanted to tell some MPLS kids about the Towa Organization. The King of Distortion just happened to be the MPLS that saw his video.
B-BOOGIEPOPPU?
cant blame it on the sunshine....
Boogiepopu-da
Cant blame it on the moonlight...
Cant blame it on the good times...
Wait, so the Teratsuki trapping everyone in the building and KoD therapying everyone are both seperated incident?
Blame it on the Boogie
>someone else finished the song
Im gonna miss you guys.
shitteru?
This whole arc was 2chuu4me. I want Nagi back.
see you, heart breakers
LNfags, this dude actually like boogiepop more than touka right? homolust too strong
I didn't understand shit about this show. Too many characters.
How many characters can you remember after watching the entire show? The only characters that stood out to me that were spooky nig, rose counsellor, nagi, boggie and the grey hair synth human girl.
Boogie, Nagi, Imaginator, Jin, Spooky E and Scarecrow.
Ya
>feels immense guilt over things he had seemingly no control over
>called out for his own mental 'distortion'
>told to take care of himself before worrying about others
>name is literally shirou
Anyone else get heavy FSN flashbacks here?
KING OF DISTORTION IS THE REDMAN
I want season 2
Nasu is a fan
Indeed I am.
I'm going to miss this anime.
Just be glad it happened is all you can do.
But the void.
Lop off with your head.
Nagi is even more Chuu then Boogiepop, who at least has some magic strings
It seems like you barely watched the show given much of the meaning and inner thoughts is unsaid. They effectively blend dialog with show don't tell. You just have to keep track of things yourself the show doesn't bother hand holding so speed watchers get confused. The fact you don't see there being a foundation and believing that the story is disjointed when in fact the whole point is that everything is interrelated if you bothered to look speed watchers not included. Plot wise Boogiepop was miles above many shows and doesn't really care if some like you get confused along the way it is subjective of course but they managed to make the seemingly bloated and disparate ideas connected and emotional making something externally look complicated and confusing but internally simple.
1) Real Magic exists alongside technological "magic" (Spirits Boogiepop/Imaginator/KoD vs. Aliens/Clones/Towa Org)
2) Boogiepop fights threats and delivers intelligent counterpoint while lopping heads for real threats.
3) Rinse repeat enjoy.
The spookie bubble drops truth bombs all the time that either cause existential crises, deep introspection, or precede death.
Exact opposite for me the show was entertaining and the dialog was often simultaneously intelligent, funny, and serious.
I hate this opinion.
While I didn't like the way some of the story was adapted, it's stupid and pointless to object to every change simply because it's a change. When a story is adapted into an anime it should work as an anime, not just as an animated version of the text.
It is called inference. She has been around Boogie long enough to figure that out especially after just missing the action at the theme park where she clearly heard the music play and it's association with Boogiepop
Wew that ain't Phantom. What was this for? LN ad?
No one knew about the video and it was deleted the moment they opened the place up. So Towa wouldn't know there were no records, too many people in the same place to just make them all disappear, everyone had dreams and hallucinations so it would be hard to tell which one saw something real.
That was Suema.
>Real Magic exists alongside technological "magic"
There's no such distinction. There are naturally evolved powers (MPLS) and induced/grown ones (Towa's synthetic humans).
The anime was an ads for the live action movie.
Boogiepop was super popular back in its heyday, how the mighty has fallen when its copycat are now more popular.
You do understand that MPLS is just Towa's designation for powers they don't understand while they do understand how they make the synthetic humans which appear as if they have similar abilities but are actually on a different level altogether. (Towa mind control sucks vs. imagine mind control) One relies on altering the mind's electrical signaling and is at best temporary while the other messes with the soul which is also temporary because emotions govern how the soul works and external tampering of either fake magic or real magic never fully works.
Towa is relying on ultra-advanced technology and drugs to induce people with enhanced natural abilities to look like magic. These people can also evolve naturally. There are also just spirits that can pop into existence and come and go that Towa can't create and doesn't understand. Notice how the KoD is not a product of the Towa synths but a random depressed kid and Boogiepop just kinda popped up automatically in response to worldly threats. Imaginator is a ghost that can posses people and doesn't actually have a real body.
Towa just lumps it all together as MLPS because their science can't understand all the spirit stuff going on all the time and it scares them.
Not to mention wiki spoilers pretty much confirm Towa started off as an organization run by the Witch of Ice vs Witch of Fire but lost its leader and shifted focus. When the witch returns (re-incarnation I presume) they are obviously shocked and stuff happens (when science thinks they made magic and then the real magic comes they get confused)
>間違ました
That's why I used an example of a change that detracts from audience perception of Spooky E rather than less meaningful changes like having him use one phone instead of having a bunch of phones hanging from his belt. Even that is still something that adds to the image of his character though. Anime shouldn't be given a free pass to become an inferior version just because of how much effort it takes to make an anime. If they had done more to build up Spooky E's characterization in other ways such as through directorial tricks to make him more frightening and loathsome, that would be one thing, but they didn't. They just did the bare minimum to get an anime adaption out the door.
The craziest part of the whole thing, to me, is that they showed Spooky E having essentially the same wounds after he zapped himself that they didn't even attempt to show on the Manticore.
>Imaginator is a ghost that can posses people and doesn't actually have a real body
Questionable.
Yes.
Towa call people who evolved in the wild MPLS. No one ever refers to this about magic. It's always referred to as evolution.
>Imaginator is a ghost that can posses people and doesn't actually have a real body
The Imaginator is just Suiko Minahoshi, retard. She managed to linger after death in some sort of ethereal existence due to her power, "strange days."
But that doesn't change the fact all the MPLS are always referred to as evolved humans. It's all about evolution, not magic or any other shit like that.
The witches are just ancient evolved humans. Don't read the wiki, retard. It's full of bullshit.
You do understand that scientific evolution is genetic and biological. Becoming a spirit as an ethereal existence (heavenly or spiritual) is so far removed from that you can call it evolution but that is just magical evolution not science evolution.
Just because they call it evolution doesn't make it evolution. The fact you have spirits popping into existence pretty much has the setting as fantasy magic enabled.
I don't agree - Spooky E looks plenty creepy just by looking creepy.
>Anime shouldn't be given a free pass
No, but critics should be aware of the limitations instead of just bitching that everything doesn't have a movie budget.
There are plenty of reasonable criticisms you can make about the show as an adaptation. "Spooky E could have been creepier" is not one of them. His hear wound was more relevant to his character, but I doubt they could properly convey, "this would have healed pretty fast if he wasn't a fag who picked at it all the fucking time".
you know evolution doesn't include magical abilities so if it looks like magic, acts like magic, talks like magic, its probably magic. Just because in universe they call them "evolved" doesn't magically make it scientific evolution which is the study of biological genetic driven evolution. The fact you have ancient "evolved" people reoccurring and being considered the same person is strongly towards magic
>ou do understand that scientific evolution is genetic and biological.
Kadono uses the term evolution in the same way the X-Men use the word mutant. Trying to apply logic to that is pointless.
>Just because they call it evolution doesn't make it evolution.
Well, if you want to ignore 20+ volumes of main story plus several side stories, you can call it whatever you want. You're a retard though.
>evolution doesn't include magical abilities
Not in the real world, because there aren't any magical abilities. If there were there's no reason evolution wouldn't select for them.
Of course MLPS "evolution" is X-men evolution rather than natural selection, but that's not the point.
Wow are you so retarded that you take what people say as literal (Evolved != Genetic Evolution). Real magic is something that defies physical laws (popping into and out of existence and conversing on another plane of existence is magic), technological "magic" is just really advanced technology. Boogiepop's host doesn't have abilities people with abilities can be host to spirits and such which is what the recently born thing is about. Towa trying to emulate the unnatural but they can't do things like manipulating souls but can do things like messing with your brain's electrical signals the difference is subtle but very distinct.
Thats why I have yet to watch the last couple episodes!
You seriously think the x-men are not using reality defying magic (real magic)? Again they call it genetic evolution but it isn't that. It is just magic that they call evolution. Yes fictional stories can use the word evolution and even things like X-men equate it to genetics (for the most part). But that doesn't mean it isn't magic. It is why the distinction between sci-fi and fantasy is very blurry because almost all sci-fi relies on magic. There is a reason why very hard sci-fi exists as a separate grouping where authors try to be as realistic as possible without any reality defying magic of any form.
Boogiepop doesn't have a "host", it's just Touka's super hero name. The synthetic humans' powers are just as physically impossible as anyone else's.
So you're just autistic and think anything that isn't hard science fiction is magic? Okay then.
You do understand that there is nothing precluding the existence of both real magical entities in Boogiepop and natural/artificially evolved ability users. Towa organization isn't exactly the definitive source of information and classifying Boogiepop as an MLPS is pretty much just a catch all as Nagi is also one but is wildly different.
I already miss it
>You seriously think the x-men are not using reality defying magic (real magic)?
It's never defined as magic. It's defined as a mutation. Like-wise, all the super natural stuff in the Boogie franchise is defined as evolution. That's all there is to it. It doesn't have to make sense or be realistic.
Anything that defies the laws of physics is magic. The whole sufficiently advanced technology appears as magic has a very limited scope because nothing in reality can defy the laws of reality.
Very hard sci-fi is far from fantasy and tries very hard to stay realistic. (Expect no FTL travel or nanomachine son kind of stuff)
Hard sci-fi tries relatively hard to be realistic. (Uses the most fringe research)
Sci-fi is just fantasy with a modern coat of paint.
Fantasy is just associated with pre-modern coats of paint.
Sci-fi/Fantasy is easily possible mixing both. Japan loves that type especially.
It's not just Towa. Independent characters (not working for Towa) who are in the know, as well the narration itself, refers to it as evolution. And not just in the main series, but also in the spinoffs.
>Anything that defies the laws of physics is magic
That depends on the author. If the author doesn't define it as magic, it's not magic.
>Anything that defies the laws of physics is magic
Which, in-universe, it does not.
Which is why it is magic when your not being realistic. You can define anything you want but objectively it is still just magic. You can have magical mutations, supernatural evolution driven by magic. Human transmutation, so on and so forth are in the same vein.
You to think that because the author calls it evolution it is evolution proper. X-men's evolution isn't real evolution no one thinks that unless they are a retard. I never said the author doesn't call it evolution just that it isn't genetic evolution but magical evolution.
Laws of physics don't exist if you have in universe magic so you can't do that. Laws only exist as observations things that cannot be broken from within with magic anything goes and there are no physical laws. This is why it is called magic.
You're not supposed to interpret what happens in fiction through a "real life" filter. That breaks the immersion, dude. You're supposed to buy into the conventions and mechanics defined by the author inside the story, in order to really get into it.
You don't know how to read fiction, user.
It is like movie physics there are no rules which makes it a very common use of magic most people willingly ignore because of the rule of cool something that regularly violates physical laws because it looks cooler that way. It isn't bad but it is delusional to think it isn't magic.
>just bitching that everything doesn't have a movie budget.
I haven't once mentioned budgets. This series is a clear instance where mismanagement has led to a deeply flawed production. I doubt the staff on the ground were the ones to decide that 99% of mentions of sex had to be sanitized, so corporate interference would appear to be a likely factor in rushing the production as well. There were obviously some talented people involved in the project at various times considering some of the individual scenes look amazing, but then we have trash like the third episode or the laughable background models when passed out people are shown in the Moon Temple.
That could have been easily conveyed by showing it regenerate just a bit only to have him scrape away the flesh again.
>limit
C-can we have another thread
I don't want It to end bros
>You to think that because the author calls it evolution it is evolution proper
No one thinks that you retard. We think that's the correct term for it because that's the one the story uses, not because it accurately corresponds to real biological evolution.
Again, by your definition none of the powers are scientific and it's all magic, so your initial statement was still wrong.
>You to think that because the author calls it evolution it is evolution proper
It is evolution inside the story he created. It doesn't have to be consistent with the real-life concept of evolution. Each story has its own rules, its own internal logic.
No, no matter what you interpret everything through a real life filter your whole mind is a real life filter. It is physically impossible to actually watch something forming memories and opinion without thinking about it. (Real Magic would be required to do that)
Buying into conventions and mechanics defined by the author including re-purposing words involves the willing suspension of disbelief (things that don't match what you would expect). Boogiepop has me fully suspended of disbelief but that doesn't mean I don't classify the term evolution/mutant in Boogiepop as magically driven which means the rules are far more flexible. If you had a hard sci-fi with the same "evolution" happening I would not suspend disbelief for long and would call it a dumpster fire of a "hard sci-fi".
You like to think that because you call it magic, it's magic. You can't define anything you want objectively because there is no objective definition of magic.
Some autists turned the thread into shit. So I think we are better off without another one.
It took all day to get here while that mediocre edgy mahou shoujo series that also ended today is going strong through it's 3rd one. Just let it be I say.
Just turn that shit into gold
Edit of pic related with boogie when?
Not true some of the abilities involve electric manipulation or vibration based powers. Many of the synthetic humans are like this. These are easily loosely science based. Just look at my earliest posts I was saying that both exist in Boogiepop's universe and it is dumb to say that only one or the other exists. In my view natural/artificial/magical "evolved" people exist. Its good in my books and japan loves doing that kind of stuff so it makes sense.
see
>Buying into conventions and mechanics defined by the author including re-purposing words involves the willing suspension of disbelief
Sure, but that's what you have to do if you want to see what the author wanted you to see. If you try to fit everything into your "real life" box, you're just gonna get confused because the internal rules and logic of the story don't perfectly match up to real life logic.
What should boogie say instead?
Filename
If it breaks the laws of physics it is magic. This is an objective test based on real world science. This is why "movie physics" exists and other common tropes related to being unrealistic. Doesn't mean it is bad it just means it is using magic and different expectations exist when magic is being used. That is why suddenly reality ensued exists which can cause viewer backlash when movie physics magic is always in play and randomly out of the blue the author decides to use real world physics instead for just a moment arbitrarily. It just creates expectations it isn't like magic is bad in fiction.
>some of the abilities involve electric manipulation or vibration based powers
Spooky's mind control makes no more physical sense than ghosts do. Using the word "electricity" doesn't make it scientifically accurate any more than using "evolution" does.
>autistic semantic arguments over whether or not something is "magic" in a fictional work
I hope you realize how useless this debate is. We're like a step away from someone pulling out a dictionary to "prove" their point (hell, it might've happened by the time I finish writing this). No one is going to agree when you're fighting over the definitions of terminology like this.
Anyways, back to the original point, I'm pretty sure was simply trying to imply that Towa's efforts of induced evolution are in some way "lesser" or more restrained that naturally evolved humans in terms of their capabilities. That's it. "magic" or not, it appears that the MPLS have more fantastical abilities than their synthetic counterparts.
Bros this is the one ride I don't wanna get off
>If it breaks the laws of physics it is magic.
That is merely your opinion on how magic should be defined.
>you interpret everything through a real life filter
Completely backwards. You interpret real life through your mental models, which need not relate well to real life at all. Which is why people believe all sorts of crazy shit.
>it appears that the MPLS have more fantastical abilities than their synthetic counterparts.
Okay, this can be an interesting topic.
Something that stood out to me if how evolution is sometimes referred to as "possibility" in Boogiepop. It's like the author is trying to say that everyone has the potential for evolution, a possibility, but not everyone is capable of awaking it and turning the possibility into evolution. That might be the reason why the powers that are born in the wild seem more "fantastical." Those powers are the product of really strong emotions and will power. MPLS are the people who managed to awaken the possibilities inside themselves, after all.
Synthetic humans, on the other hand, don't have that will power and emotions. Their powers are just the result of Towa's shenanigans.
Boogiepop clearly has tech magic (drugs, genetic engineering, aliens,...) and magic magic (spirits, ghosts, souls, ...) what I first started off with and it is all good to me. There is nothing prohibiting the use of speculative science and just actual magic that defies all logic. Arguably mixing the two is interesting to me and it is only confusing when real world people think that they are mutually exclusive in a fictional work.
We can use transcranial magnetic stimulation to crudely enhance or suppress parts of people's minds, multiple viruses, parasites are know to effect brain processes physically. Electrical production of energy is easy in biological creatures (electric eels) and the human brain runs on minute signals so is easily disturbed by electrical impulses. Speculatively you could brain wash someone by zapping their brain in just the right way. It isn't perfect or permanent as shown in the show so is technically plausible. Compare that to the flower soul editing which has no analog other than magical soul sight.
Yes you get the point. The rest are retarded.
Anyone can make a definition coupled with an objective test. I didn't say that it was authoritative but it is easily re-used because it relies on objective criteria that is not subjective.
Your mental models are physical and based in reality. Nothing you think is not actually happening in your fleshy meat sack brain. You have to run everything through a real life filter because your entire brain is doing that regardless of what your conscious mind is doing. Being crazy, delusional, ... is physically possible it is just their real life filters are all over the place. Motion sickness can result when fictional works move in impossible ways this is a real life filter that cinematographers try to avoid for the most part. But motion/facial cues can signal your subconscious to prime your conscious mind.
I resent we didn't get to see Imaginator pantsu in the series proper. The PV lied to me. Pantsu was a lie.
Give it a rest already. If you want to call everything you can't understand magic, be my guest. Just know it's a pretty retarded thing to do.
Wow how long did that take to get on the right page. The strong emotions and will power MLPS style evolution results in pretty fantastical powers. While synthetic humans are basically sci-fi mutants that Towa made. Heck Towa/Author even makes the distinction between synthetic humans and MLPS likely people.
Well at least we get to see this
The laws of physics are hopefully something more than one person can understand. Sadly it seems like too many retards exist. Clearly some posters can make the distinction correctly.
Your understanding of the laws of physics is based on subjective experience, not objective criteria.
The entire point of the use of the term evolution has nothing to do with genetics and everything to do with the theory of natural selection because the Towa system is trying to prevent the elimination of current humans by new humans. You are arguing about retarded shit for no reason just to sound smart when you are in fact dumb.
What was King of Distortions power exCtly? It was kinda confusing.
Towa's synthetic humans are built for various tasks. And I think the novel that didn't make it into the anime suggested that all the ones we saw were relatively low level. Though whether that means less fantastic powers or not is unclear.
Regardless, Towa wouldn't use a synthetic human that could do dangerous shit they couldn't control and would dispose of them. Fear Ghoul was synthetic (drug-induced) too.
I don't think there's supposed to be any distinction.
Wow you actually believe the laws of physics are a subjective experience do you even know what they are? Things like the conservation of mass/energy/entropy they give zero fucks about your subjective experience they just happen because that is how reality works (hence law of physics). It is the basis of science and objective study. You must be of the camp of an explosion is relatively harmless.
>Your mental models are physical and based in reality
If that were relevant you wouldn't be able to imagine non-reality. The fact that mental models don't correspond to reality is precisely why science is difficult and requires careful experimentation to eliminate bias.
I guess that makes sense too. It's expected that something that was born in the wild is gonna be more messy and unpredictable that the synthetic equivalent, simply because the latter was designed with a purpose in mind.
>It is the basis of science and objective study.
Your entire experience of that study is subjective. All of the confirmatory data is nothing more than a subjective experience. Fundamentally, it is impossible to prove objective existence and "science" is based entirely on inference of apparently stable subjective experiences. Stop trying to sound smart by repeating shit you learned in high school science textbooks.
Retards.
I don't know if they are "designed". I'd guess Towa isn't capable of that. But they would dispose of any they couldn't easily control or understand.
EMBRYO arc adaptation when
I would rape this.
I think synthetic humans are artificially evolved by towa from birth while MLPS include people that suddenly awaken due to some effect with usually extremely fantastical abilities while other are born with some ability naturally evolving. MLPS to me is a catch all for anything Towa doesn't understand or control. While Synthetic humans are something they have a direct hand in creating they have quantity but lack the quality and variety of the gamut of MLPS individuals.
Like I said before, the use of the word "possibility" suggests all humans have the potential for "evolution." It's just that only a few manage to awaken it or are born in an awakened state.
I don't think too much about the variety of abilities or how fantastic some of them are. I mean, even in X-Men, my go-to comparison for Boogiepop, there all sorts of different powers an abilities. Some of them are simple shit like limited telepathy and such, while others are god-like powers that can alter the very fabric of reality. That same happens in the Boogiepop franchise.
Where is my season 2/movie announcement
The OST is absolutely bitchin'.
I guess this is it, boogiebros. It was a good ride.
I hope to see some threads in april full of jinbros
Really good ride
