I can see that, especially since all the redraws of jonathan completely ditch his Kenshiro design and give him some fresh clothes
As far I a remember Jonathan is the only Jojo that actually relied on his size and build. A twink would get killed on Orge street. The other characters I don't mind because they could always rely on their Stand or Hamon.

I like his compisition and the art, but man he needs to up his game and avoid sameface.
Araki strikes me as this self-taught artist that somewhat is still "on the ropes sometimes", I mean compare him to someone like Yusuke Murata. Murata can sometimes draw the characters without the need of a pencil and pencil sketches at top speed, while Araki still needed to sketch in pencil before making a sketch for a tv program.
Not demeriting Araki in that comparison to Murata, I actually think its comfy since a lot of young artists at the atelier I go try frying their nerves by trying to be like Moebius in trying to either draw super complicated stuff or detailed sketches with just a marker
You're right araki does have a problem with sameface, but I didnt really notice it until now.
Araki distinguishes his characters by clothing, which since a lot of emphasis is on clothing the actual character underneath there can sometimes just end up looking exactly the same as everyone else

He's doing pretty well in Jojolion right now with his sameface problem. You'd never mistake Josuke for Kira, despite them wearing the exact same clothes. If you pasted a main cast member's face onto another main cast member, the difference would be noticeable. They're more subtle differences, as naturally comes with the more realistic style, but they're there.
the left panel is pretty great but VERY busy, I want some dio shit for sure though. Maybe the moon from with a less busy Dio in front? Going to make sure i'm in love w the design before I get it. My friend has a josuke tattoo on his forearm that's amazing
