The big point of contention in scheduling here is Natagumo. the arc is from chapter 28 to 44, and I cannot see it ever getting cut across cour. It's most likely either all in cour 1 or all in cour 2. And since we have word that the pace will be slow, I would bet on cour 2. You can make both it and train go by quick enough to fill out the second cour, much cleaner than trying to stuff it into cour 1 in my opinion

It's true the content was the problem, it's hard to keep an anime with so many scenes of characters just talking in a room visually interesting. It works fine in manga to have large speech bubbles filled with text as long as the dialogue is engaging, but when you're staring at a character's face watching lip flaps for 30 seconds, you lose the point of it being animated. I didn't think it was bad, just dissapointing since I remember being on the edge of my seat reading the manga but didn't get the same sense of tension while watching the anime.

It sucks it goes this way, but that's what it is, she was heavily flawed from the get go and her conclusion as a character makes sense.

I think KanaHana will probably be in this anime since she has ties to Aniplex + Sacra Music, but I don't want her to voice Shinobu. For me Saori Hayami would be perfect for her.

I agree that her character is pretty much fine, I just wish we'd been able to see more of her relationship with Kanao. A lot of the pillars could have used more screen time. I hope we might get more one-shots like the Tomioka gaiden.

checked the other swords, the only other swords that had that notch was shinobu and kanao. but their guards are different (shinobu has a flower guard, kanao's is circular). the fact that the sword not only has the same notch, wrappings around the handle, and guard shape, as well as same hairstyle and markings, pretty much means that's kokushibou. I'm pretty sure crocodile wouldn't deliberately draw very similar swords if she didn't want people to know it was him. she's always been pretty specific in her designs, like with zenitu's rival.

I think sunbro and kokushibou is related because they share the same mark style.

One of the first breath user have the same mark as the mist pillar's mark. So mist is descended from them, hence the same mark.

That's possibly why sunbro said he cannot protect anything, because his family, probably brother, became a demon.

Muzan and demons in general pretty much vampire-lite, it had to come from somewhere.

I am fine with it, but I do hope it doesn't end there. Not because I want another bad guy after Muzan, but because I like the idea of demons also existing somewhere else besides Japan. This way leaves the possibility open so long as it isn't explicitly said "This doctor was the only one who ever made the demon medicine and he never gave it to anyone besides Muzan"

He's a fucking treasure. Besides that one chapter, the manga is pretty good at showing how noble and kind he is. A good natured MC that knows that knows how to cut down a demon as well as show sympathy during their final moments.

I like the fact that he chose to save Nezuko over those swordsmith. It makes him more human in my eyes.
Also he is optimistic but really grounded. He once said he could die fighting Muzan, and that's OK.
