I just took the bluepill, what did I think of it?

It started with an interesting plot as trying to show the POV from an adult going back to teenage years and also helping other kids with his wisdom of an older experienced guy despite his own PTSDs, but it soon went the cliche route of romance and teen drama bullshit even though he was supposed to be an adult, I also thought making Hishiro be other subject of the project was lame and too forced for the sake of the "romance", I was expecting it to just be him helping her like a Koi wa Ameagari no You ni type of thing where they both just move on but overcome their problems on their own after getting support from friends, also the drama between the supporting characters was terrible..

well the friends arcs had a lot kaizaki and hishiro interaction and some character develompent of those two
also the necktie thing got skipped too
and most importantly the kiss on the final chapter

The OVA took liberties with the finale but you're missing out on good content by avoiding them.

OP here, I read the entire ending sequence of the manga, the OVA + plus that makes for a good experience

Both the main guy and the main girl had issues to overcome so them getting into their relationship and influencing each other pays off in the end

I wish Relife pill exists

The anime did a major scene way better than in the manga.
The OVA sequel skipped a lot of arc though

It was amazing. When it was revealed that Hishiron is a subject too and might forget Kaizaki it really fucking hit my feels. Never got that close to crying while reading a manga

It's really a shame they decided to rush things through with the 4-part OVA instead of a proper 2nd season. It deserved it. At least the manga was a ride.

I feel bad that the ending was kinda rushed but ended on a satisfying note so I don't complain too much
Also it feels relatable because I'm an older college student that went back to finish, having to share classes with what are basically kids to me.

Lessons were ass but the important part was socializing. I wish I wasn't as autistic back then.

I started the manga because of this smile and the anime didn't even bother to adapt it.

Although the premise felt retarded, the story being predictable as well as dragged out a bit, and some of the support cast were annoying as hell, the manga hit real hard where it counts. Chapter 216 gave me the feels. Didn't dare to touch the anime yet.
