Instead of showing characters experience things about real world, their emotions etc. lets have them do that offscreen and give us a summary of that in 10 minute long exposition dump.

Most of the episodes were pointless specifically because of Altair being too OP. Why bother building up to that plan they were coming up with to defeat her when it won't even matter in the end?

Also, if she's so powerful, then why the hell does she even need other creations to help her with destroying the world? I'm pretty sure she is perfectly capable of doing it by herself.

It's not like they knew they were going to lose. In fact their plan could very well have worked if Altair didn't spy on them and prepare her own counter-plan. And in the end it was not a competition of strength but a competition of showmanship, which Altair did much better.

Because her original plan was to fuck up with the laws of physics by "colliding" the real world with multiple fantasy worlds with different mechanics. She couldn't do that entirely on her own because the universe would just eliminate the sole cause of disturbance then.

Altair and Shark were good characters, everyone else was shit or wasted potential, the show itself was mess especially regarding the pacing.

Altair was an interesting 'classic' villain and Shark was an interesting character that took no special side. That made them interesting, but the show needed to have them interact and instead it backed away from having them in the same scene like a pussy.
Everyone else just jobbed to Altair repeatedly with Meteora's infodumps making it almost unbearable to watch.

Altair would bullshit her anyway and tank her reality warping. Especially in the ECF where she was seen as the MC.

That's the thing, they should have met wayyy before that, then Shark would have easily asked the right questions that everyone else were apparently too stupid to and beat her.
You're forgetting that Shark was the first to ever think about actually learning about each and every character's stories and powers, she probably found Altair's source on the internet before anyone else did and held that knowledge.
If she met Altair she would have dropped the Setsuna bomb on her and Altair would have lost it.

Just dropping Setsuna would be the worst. Altair would just stop listening and she'd have dozens of swords inside her in an instant (and Altair can only be killed by having a canon death anyway, the reason for the ECF). Probably why she avoided the direct approach. Her chance would need to be to slowly defuse Altair show in the ECF to make the audience believe that she'd lose.

She wouldn't come up to her and say 'hey heard your creator's fucking dead bitch' she would have found a way to subtly make Altair fall straight into her uso no uso trap.

This show was everything wrong with anime packed into one neat little package attempting to cash in on the fate hype at the time.

This show started to go downhill when le edgy trickster Magane appeared and the plot started to unfold in an incredibly contrived way to make her seem smart and manipulative. At least she killed her author, the guy deserved it for writing such a shitty character.

Could be a great reverse issekai with great premise, turned out a boring meteora infodump. Couldn't bother to finish it.
