Plus around this manga was way back when. The theme starts off with older generation delinquents/hiphop from back then with a US style and that includes the Mexicans which were prominent and a stereotype of the ghettos and streets. There is also the constant use of graffiti. Ichigo is a an older classic delinquent. He always has his eyebrows lowered(mugging) and it is enough to scare Orihime early on. He took a vow with Chad the Mexican guy to watch each others back and pretty much like the US, ride or die.
The main original intro theme was also a mix of older hiphop vibes mix with rock. This also caused a rift between the band because 1 of them got mad that they were straying away from rock and moving into the realm of rap and hip hop. They mix the way they dress with hip hop a bit too. There is a lot of anime watchers in Latin America, so it's a good thing someone is representing them out of the million anime out there.
This theme was popular around that time. Check out 2:15 seconds and that huge crowd from this old video.

That might be exactly what he's going to do. The announcement just states he's going to announce a new project, but it doesn't specify whether it's Bleach related or something else entirely. They put Ichigo there because that's Kubo's most well known work.

The text doesn't hint at a new work/sequel. It seems like a project with all those series featured since the entire page itself has a school theme running through it. Next to Ichigo it says art while next to Soma it says home economics so each MC is given a school subject. Possible colorpage, but I'm not sure if it'll be of Bleach or Bokuben.
